So on the Cave Story fansite one of the admins decided to start a collaborative effort towards a fan-made sequel to Cave Story. Guess what I immediately volunteered to do?

Our school got another bomb threat. I'll bet it was a freshman. Stupid freshmen. You know, I don't think I've made fun of freshmen nearly enough this year so far, and I'm a senior! It's practically a duty.
In any case they evacuated us for 20 minutes in which we had to stand outside in the cold and in which a good amount of seniors wandered off to the parking lot and drove home.

Yesterday I was almost run over by a car. First time that's ever happened.

Today was my first day of Junior year, which was nice, but also my sister's first day of Kindergarten, and she's going to actual SCHOOL now! Never again shall she attend that daycare. She's in real SCHOOL! Wow.

I already know two of my teachers, my Latin teacher and my Physics teacher. The other day while heading to the bus stop I noticed a red-breasted robin hopping from branch to branch in a tree and twittering. Sure, it was more rusty orange than red. But it was the first bird I've seen in months.
Sure, it may still be cold enough to numb one's fingers. But the trees are blooming and the winds are changing, and, after all, the birds know best.

Well I still dunno if it was a drill or what, when I asked a firefighter he said it was a "false alarm," but of all days it HAD to happen on the day there was a STORM. Ugh...
Luckily it wasn't coming down really hard when we got out but it was still definitely raining and not small enough to be considered drizzle yet. Man, though, I tell ya, loudest fire alarm I've ever heard. Right in my room, too. I'm typing the next chapter of Makuta Rehearsals and WHOOOOOOOOO! I was like, "AUGH!"

I don't think I've had to put new staples into my stapler for over a year. Perhaps more. You wouldn't think, but I probably only need to staple one or two assignments a week, and however many pages it is, that's still just one staple per assignment... so just one of those long thingamadoohickeys can last quite a long time.
... the problem is, I've forgotten where the new staples are.
Fourth time to the finals, already looks like Hurdy has it in the bag.

Back home a squirrel will run up a tree if you get within ten feet of it.
Today I QUITE LITERALLY fed a squirrel, OUT OF MY HAND. I mean, that crazy squirrel was bolder than the pigeons! I had to hold really still to get the pigeons to come close. But when the squirrel saw the peanut, it GRABBED IT OUT OF MY HAND. After it finished it was scratching at my leg for more!
I mean, it was behaving like a dog! o_O It looked like it was on its hind legs and "begging."

So my mom drafted me to do facepainting for the kids at her coworker's party today.
I was kinda scared because I first painted my sister's face and if I screw up, well, what the heck, but then after that I'd be painting on other people's kids and it's like, I don't exactly have much experience with this. XD
But it turned out okay, I quickly got the hang of it, and the kids really didn't need a masterpiece to make them happy. It was nice seeing their smiles when they looked into the mirror.
