So I saw Golden Compass today.
I dunno why they ended it where they did. Can't think of any more important scenes that they had to get through before the end of the first book, and ending it where the book ended would have been better, because it's a nice place to stop. I mean, the book also left you hanging, but everything else was nicely tied off and it was the start of a whole new adventure and whatnot, so it wasn't as bad as stopping in the middle of all the action...

Like one thing that has me stymied now is whether or not to mark Chemistry Olympiad as a state level or national level honor. Like, what qualifies as national level and what qualifies as state level? That means first and last period every day I'll have NOTHING since I had an AP class first and last period every day! The only classes I have left are Computer Programming (haha, class, not really) Latin (don't do too much) and English (essentially my only class, then).

Now here's a scary story. Today coming out of the school parking lot, apparently two of our buses crashed.
Daaaaaang. That is scary. I mean, it wasn't our bus, I know. I didn't even witness it, but... I think our bus sorta had a holdup going out of school. Think we stopped a bit. Didn't notice. I was reading. I'm always reading.

It's completely scalable anyway because it's fully vector. Obviously I shaded it more in-depth than I did my previous wp, "Fog." Um, I guess if I'm naming them, this one is "Windy Day."

While I really appreciate all the encouragement, I really haven't posted a single chapter, or even an excerpt, of 52-Pickup yet, and I don't want to get everyone's hopes up and all just based on my goal of what I intend to do.

So since this week is HSPAs and her class was acting up more than usual due to the classroom move and schedule warping, and since we were ahead of her other class, she decided to give us a 2-day break and showed us movies.

Feels so nice to be on my computer with its big monitor, actual mouse, and reasonable internet connection speed.
Ten hour car drive... blaaaaargh exhausting. Didn't get as much writing done as I wanted to, since I had a headache, although chapter 8 is almost finished, just gotta wrap it up. It's only the second one-scene chapter, the first being chapter 3.
