It is quite awesome.
Very nice to have a clean slate that I haven't screwed up with loads of downloaded @&*^!! While the OS was setting up, I compiled a list of the programs I really use, various utilities like 7-zip and TeraCopy, etc. got all that stuff installed and now it's basically usable.
Speaking of which, stick with Vista vs. upgrade to Windows 7, pros/cons of each? Anyone more tech-savvy with some suggestions?

My dad asked me if it would be cool to have a Blackberry and I said, "Yeah, I guess so," so he bought me one. O_O
On that note there is now a growing number of wires strewn about the floor near my computer. Cords for the external drive, the cord for my MP3 player, and now several cords for the Blackberry.

It's completely scalable anyway because it's fully vector. Obviously I shaded it more in-depth than I did my previous wp, "Fog." Um, I guess if I'm naming them, this one is "Windy Day."
That's actually not the version on my desktop right now; I added a few more leaves and rearranged them a bit. Might add more wind, leaves, and maybe a gradient tomorrow. We'll see.

Anyway, the days have grown very short but in these days in the month past solstice we have the rare opportunity of seeing the sunrise on every lucid morning. Some random space shooter thing.
All programmed in Pascal, so they're just functional, pretty much. Rather basic, once you get the logic of the way those programs work. Bullets were tricky, as were monsters... but I figured it out.
Snake was loads of fun to write and test Once I figured it out it was easy, and I just had to tweak it. Shooter is kinda lameish, longer than snake actually, but mostly because snake was written later. Just practice, of course.

So my current monitor is a... what was it? 17" LCD, 1280x1024. I'm quite satisfied with it. I like it. It's a nice monitor. I figured this was going to be the monitor I'd be taking with me to college.
My dad figured otherwise. So before I even knew it, today sitting at the bottom of the stairs is a 21.5" widescreen LCD, 1920x1080.

So I saw Golden Compass today.
I dunno why they ended it where they did. Can't think of any more important scenes that they had to get through before the end of the first book, and ending it where the book ended would have been better, because it's a nice place to stop. I mean, the book also left you hanging, but everything else was nicely tied off and it was the start of a whole new adventure and whatnot, so it wasn't as bad as stopping in the middle of all the action...

I spent the last two weeks in a room with air conditioners that barely work (it's 90 degrees in there on average) trying to keep a bunch of six-year-olds in line, all of whom appear to be out to get me.
In other words I got a job at a summer camp. A camp for six-year-olds, all of whom appear to be out to get me.
Well it's an art camp and I like kids so really aside from the unbearable heat it was a pretty fun job. Except for that one girl from the first week. She was really like out there.

I had other things to worry about drawing and doodling-wise, but I've gone back to my old scans and started to CG them...
