So, this post is being made from Qumana, which may be replacing MarsEdit. It was much easier to set up my blog, and it was able to get the categories I had set up right away. I haven't discounted MarsEdit completely yet, but I think I may like this better.

So I was looking through my blog settings recently and noticed something about being able to turn on support for metaweblog clients or some crazy thing like that and I got curious. Apparently, with the right program and some fidgeting with the settings you can use an external program to add entries to your BZPower Blog.
I'm testing this right now with MarsEdit for Mac OS X. It seems ok, and possibly more convenient than making the entry on BZPower. I haven't been able to find a way to set cat

So, first and foremost, a former staff member has returned to grace us with his presence on the staff once again. This crazy Aussie is helping us out in BBC and GD, so watch out if you want to break the rules in there. It's good to have another familiar face back on the team.

So Brickfair has come and gone, and we're all sad now that it's over. We had an excellent turnout this year, with a lot of excellent MOCs, some great artwork, and even some fan-created games to play. So I'm down in Virginia now for BrickFair 2008. I met up with Omicron, Kopaka's Ice Engineering, Roa McToa, Makaru, and Darth Vader earlier today to start setting up the Bionicle area. Then we went and had some dinner and hung out, and I drove us around in circles making wrong turns and such. Then we set up some more Bionicle stuff. It was a fun time.

So, it's anniversary week, woohoo! We made it seven years and counting! Our first big announcement was the Forum Mentors, who should hopefully make BZP an easier place to get used to for new members. I've been pleased to see some positive feedback on this.

So, as I mentioned in my previous Weekly Update, I went away last weekend; this was the first vacation-type thing I've had in a while, even though it was only for two days. A friend of mine has a cabin on a lake in Western Connecticut, nice and secluded, not too busy. He invited me and a bunch of our friends up there for the weekend, so we drove up Saturday morning and came back Sunday night.
It was a real fun time. He has a boat with a tube for tubing, a couple kayaks, and even a little sail

Topic pruning is off to a slow start. We've lost a couple thousand posts or so already, but compared to the over 5 million that we did have it's not that much to be noticeable yet. Hopefully this weekend the Forum Leaders will have some more time (myself included) to work on cleaning things out. Give us some more time and things should improve.

Today is an exciting day. Although there was an omission on the initial release on LUGNET, I was indeed accepted into the Lego Ambassador program. Hopefully this will help give BZPower some more pull in the Lego community and I hope to have some input on changes that are going on. You can be sure I will look to you guys for input and will be posting discussion topics and polls to see what you guys think (if I'm allowed to discuss it, at least).
