It's time for another new feature! I spent probably too much time recently looking through addons for BZP after our fundraiser blew away our expectations. This one caught my eye and after some discussions and testing, you all get to see it. There's still a lot of other cool things out there, but we don't want to overdo it. So, yesterday was the Lego Collector's Party for Toy Fair in New York City. A little late on my update this week, thanks to yesterday's federal holiday. I finished Cryptum last Thursday, which was great I thought. A lot of interesting insight into the Forerunners. It was really a piece of hard science fiction that just happened to be set in the Halo universe. There were some connections to the games and other lore for people who really dig into things (like the Librarian, the Didact, and Mendicant Bias). Rewind back to Wednesday, I picked up Bionicle Heroes for the Xbox 360. Fun stuff. Black Friday rolls around, and I find myself outside of Staples at 5:45 AM. You may think I'm crazy, but by 7 AM I was back home with a brand new 32" LCD HDTV and only $500 poorer. Actually, my parents are, early Christmas present. So now I get to play Bionicle Heroes at 1080i on an HDTV, nothing bad could possibly come of this.

So I just saw the Castle Season 4 finale. Wow. Definitely don't want to spoil anything, but it was certainly a roller coaster of an episode. The ending has me excited for Season 5 and sad I have to wait all summer to find out what happens next. That, to me, is the mark of some truly great writing. I was also glad to see Tahmoh Penikett in there - he's a great actor and deserves a leading roll in something again. Maybe it's time to rewatch BSG...

So I finally saw Up tonight. I laughed. I cried. It was an amazing movie. Highly recommended for all.
It just happens to be the only movie nominated for best picture at this year's Oscars that I've seen. But, based on what I've heard, if Avatar wins over it I'm going to lose all faith in those awards. Oh wait, that already happened in the 1994 Oscars, nevermind...

So yesterday was President's Day, and being an employee of the Federal Government it meant I had the day off. Taking advantage of this holiday when most people still have to work, I took my car in for an oil change. They had a TV on in the waiting room blasting some news channel, and before I put my earphones in I heard a report about winter weather in Wisconsin and New Jersey. Just so everyone is aware, the colors for some of the groups have changed. Now that the Reference Team is no more, the Reporters have adopted the old RK yellow. Retired Staff, meanwhile, have taken the Reporter orange. This makes them look similar to OBZPCs but still stand out (as opposed to the ugly-ish gray from before). Yep, so that happened.
