Toa Inika Personalities

Reading through Dark Destinies and Power Play, I have come to see how our favorite Matoran are portrayed in the series. Some are pretty awesome, while others are strange. So I’ll make a quick list of them.   Jaller: When I first got into Bionicle, Jaller was one of my least favorite characters (responsibility? Why was he so into it?) However, as I’ve aged and used him in epics, I’ve begun to enjoy his character. And, now that he’s a Toa, he’s my favorite Fire Toa of all time! (Out of four

To The Right

I just realize that I always sit in the right (as in the direction right) section of the lecture hall when I go to class. Always. In some classes, I sit closer to the front so I can read what the professor has written down. In the classes where they have the giant screens, I sit in the back, away from the crowds and closer to the exit doors. And sometimes I just sit closer to the windows... which has been on the right side of many of the classrooms I've been in. It's crazy!   The one e

To Bs01 Staff

I have kidnapped your precious Swert. If you ever want to see your web-site owner again, please send a payment of $150 to Xccj at Bricks Cascade. (Okay, it may be a bit much, so I'm willing to haggle.)   You have until Saturday at public hours to pay, or else I feed him to the Bionicle-hating AFOLs.

ṮḺṞ Official Review

Read it Here!   The BZP Staff members did a good job at summing up the movie, but I'm not here to promote them. No, my contribution was the pictures, all the pretty pictures, from the movie.   I also helped code the story, being a reporter and all, to help ease the workload for Lord-B6. It's the longest story I've worked on so far... so much formatting!   And yeah, pretty much everything I would have said about the movie was said in the review, so yeah, go read it and enjoy it.

Titan Quest

Ever played it? Ever heard of it? Hmm, maybe we aren't getting anywhere here.   Anyway, it's this action game that's suppose to be alot like Diablo (never played Diablo, though, so I can't reallt tell). Anyway, you're an anchient warrior in Greece fighting off the Titan's and their monsters that're trying to take over the world. Or something along those lines. It's highly likely that I'm confusion my Greek tales up a bit.   Anyway, you kill monster using different bladed weapons, elementa

Tis Funny In An Ironic Way

The irony is that AFOLs never said anything much about my creations and then a bunch of random kids seem to really like them. Or maybe Irony isn't the right word. Too bad, I'm using it.   Okay, the actual story; the other day I was perusing the Lego Collectible Minifigure site, checking out the stuff on Series 6, and then I saw they had a new section on the site: The Showcase. It's pretty cool, although it's nothing too revolutionary. Basically, it allows you to upload MOC picts that use the

Tired All The Time

I can't say my life is bad, since I've managed to secure a bunch of the essentials: a college education, a regular job that actually pays for something that I'm fairly good at doing (but don't ask me to explain it), an apartment that is mildly tolerable even without air conditioning, and enough money that I can buy Lego without an overbearing sense of budgetary guilt.   But as of late, it's seemed very... basic. Work has been interesting, but I'm usually quite burned out by the end of the day, a

Tired

Tis been a loooooooong day. Longer than usual. Early morning group meet-up thingy, and then late night class. Normally I sleep in on Mondays. And if I could have my way, I'd sleep in everyday. The world really shouldn't start operating until after 11 AM.   In Lego related news... um, my sub is still incomplete. But I have paid for BrickFair registration now. Add that to the plane tickets, and I happen to know a guy who knows a guy who knows that I know a guy who can drive us around DC.

Tintin Movie

So FINALLY went and saw the new Tintin movie. I read a few of the comics online first (at Phy's suggestion, I believe) and I would be interested in looking up the old 90s TV show. (I swear I watched it a few times when I was a kid.)   But yeah, the movie was excelent. The animation was great, as were the voice actors. I guess the 3D wasn't amazing; personally, I didn't notice it one way or the other, so I suppose it would be fun to just watch in 2D. But the plot was fun. Some of the pacing

Time Will Tell

First off, props to Syfy.com. By Midnight, Wednesday, Pacific Coast time, they had Tuesday's episode online. Much faster than Hulu. Woot!   Secondly, amazing episode of Warehouse 13.   » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «Alot of this episode seemed to be about answering the major questions left by the season finale. Which was great, but it would've been nice if some were drawn out a little more. (Plus, some of them were a little lackluster) Aw well, but still, it's good to

Time To Be Depressed

So...   I've spent all summer stressing out about summer courses and waking up at 8 AM and trying to fit in work and basically making my summer months a repeat of the rest of the school year.   I come home to be told I'm unmotivated and sleep in too much and should be doing more hard, physical work in either the blazing hot sun or cold rain (is there no middle ground for summer weather??)   To top that off, I'm reading this new web comic (aka new to me, it's been around apparently since 02 an

Time Disruption Reevaluated

So I was bored this weekend, so I browsed through my files and pulled up my old Time Disruption story. Basically it's something I started back in 2003 (or early 2004, sometime around there) and worked on for 3+ years. It was probably one of my more successful stories on BZPower, and it certainly drew the largest number of reviews I've ever gotten for a story. I haven't reread it in years, so I thought it would be fun to do.   Of course, there were parts I still loved about this. The genera

Time Disruption Quiz

If you're a member of a particular social networking site, you may be aware of those new user-made quizzes that have been popping up everywhere. Arpy made one, and in retaliation, I made one too... but I actually put effort into mine. So you should take it.   It's based off characters from my Time Disruption epic... Matoran from the story, based on their personalities and unique traits and such. Some of you may remember reading the story... others may have only heard of it in reference in th

Tidbits From Seattle...

Some interesting things frm NW Brickcon this weekend that I encountered... The bus ride to the Seattle Center area where the exibition was held and the University district (where I am) is roughly thirty to forty minutes... depends on if they raise the draw bridge. It helps if I'm zoned out to music. The MOCs at the Bionicle table are completely awesome. Coincidentally, everybody I heard called 'em Mocks and not M-O-Cs. Hmm. There was alot more going on on the Titanic model than the movie su

Ticket Changed

I'm still going to Brickfair, since I bought all my tickets and stuff...   But apparently the airline I'm going with didn't like my selection.   See, I'm flying Jet Blue and I have a layover in Long Beach, CA. When I originally signed up, I had two flight options; get to CA just before my flight to DC leaves, or show up a couple hours earlier and have some time to chill, get on the Internet, ext. I chose the latter. Jet Blue for some reason decided to cancel that flight, and now I'm on rush

Thunder And Lightning

Nothing extremely new, as I used to live near Colorado Springs, which was for a time the second most-likely spot for thunderstorms (after some place in Florida). We used to watch lightning storms all the time, as well as rush around unplugging everything. You also heard of plenty of people getting struck, so I knew all the safety things about lightning at a young age. (Don't go swimming, don't fly kites, don't stand in a meadow holding up a big metal bar... etc)   Well, the hot weather we've

Three Musketeers Movie?

Wait, The Three Musketeers movie is now in theaters? But when I looked it up this summer, I saw that it wasn't coming out until the end of October!   *checks calendar*   It's already almost the end of October!!?!!   Well, I guess I'll be heading to the local cinema tonight next weekend...

Thoughts on Series 8

Yeah, I'm clearly one of those people who're addicted to collecting figs. So many people seem to be disappointed about Series 8, mostly because it has a bunch of rehashes of figs that have already been released: skier, cowgirl, cheerleader, robot, alien, man-bat. I mean, they're not exclusive or as exciting as the Spartan, Elf, Hazmat Suit Guy, or Roman. But I know at BrickCon there were all the guys demanding more rehashes so they could make opposing teams and such, and I find some of the re

Thoughts on Lego in 2013

Well, the year's not quite over yet, but honestly, 2013 Lego sets are finished. There's lots of new stuff to be excited about, and although some of it is coming out in December, it's still technically 2014 stuff. (Or I will consider it to be, anyways.) So, in that case, I wanted to shares some of my thoughts on the year 2013.   2013 wasn't quite as big of a year for me as I might have wanted. Part of it's because I was only employed for like 3 months, and most of my money at the time went into r

Thoughts On Glatorian

I've tried to purchase them... no, seriously, I've been to three different Targets, but each one has their Lego isle ransacked. One only have a couple giant sets left, and the space was filled up with Megablock junk. (A choking to death emoticon would be appropriate right here) I saw Malum and Skrall a couple days before Christmas, but I haven't seen any since. And I didn't particularly want those two.   I might try and hit up the Washington Lego store this weekend... depending on the weath

Thoughts on Future Lego in 2014

So I just posted about my buying habits on this year’s sets, and now I’ll look to the sets coming out for 2014. At least in the winter, anyway. I’ll focus on the ones that are public on BrickSet, just so that way I don’t accidentally discuss any unreleased sets. (But I’m pretty sure most of them have been revealed by now.)   Again, I’ll start off with the theme I’m most excited for: Ninjago. It’s rebooted with robots and new vehicles and everything. And a fair amount of purple elements, alt

Thoughts On Comedies And Epics

Recenty, I have read a topic on Comedies and a topic on Epics in General Discussion. In the Comedy topic, people are bashing comedies because of their general lack of quality. (Which to an extent I agree upon) In the epics topic, people are naming off their favorite topics (mine never got mentioned... in fact, most I've never heard of before. (Yeah, I am not that great of a mass reviewer anymore)) But there was something that irked me off in both topics.   The way people protrayed their ow

Thoughts For B B C Contest

First of all, this isn't an attack on anybody in particular. Just something I might as well post about, since I don't wanna bog down the voting topic.   So there was the one guy who submitted a virtual MOC for the latest contest. It was okay and all MOC wise. But it doesn't fit in with the rest of the entries. It can use more pieces, plus each piece can be in any color imaginable. Part of MOCing is dealing with what you have. Sure, some guys have more pieces than others, but I still feel i

This will be a pain to sort...

Instagram pict here   I'm trying to prepare for BricksCascade, and I have a couple of models I want to construct. But I inevitably have to go thru the pile from last year, which includes a bunch of partial MOCs and sets that I've been meaning to part out and sort, but never got around to it. And... that pile is intimidating. I wish I could get a full team of AFOLs to come sort it all in an afternoon like I've seen em do at PortLug... but I don't know that many people in the area, and my house is
