First-round bye, home playoff game, Steelers stuck in the wild-card, wonderful way to start off the year. Also, I have three valve coupons on Steam(33% off, 25% off, 50% off), and I'm probably not going to use any of them. Who wants them?
2012 guys, supposedly the last! Cheers to all, let this year come in with a bang! Share your resolution/s as well in the comments section! my own: Big list: ~Become a better musician, both technically and in terms of the mental things like harmonic, melodic, and rhythmic senses. ~Buy a stratocaster that hasn't been beaten to death by ten years of abuse! ~Fix my long-standing problem of tensing up while playing, making more challenging guitar stuff much harder and often painful. ~Fix my
So, in addition to the number of "Game of the Year" accolades it's been getting, practically everyone on the TF2 server I usually head to has been telling me I need to go get Skyrim. This is probably good advice given Bethesda is good at what they do. But Skyrim is $60. And I have neither an Xbox or PS3 since until now Mass Effect is the only thing on either that really interested me that I couldn't get elsewhere, and I use a Mac, as some of you may recall from the months of fighting different
Not referring to anyone in-particular, just the internet in-general, as it's something I've noticed everywhere lately. Please, either go to eleven or just don't do it at all if you're going to use sarcasm in text online - it's something that needs, in addition to knowing the individual well, inflection and body language. Neither of which exist in text. So unless it's blatantly clear you're being sarcastic, please don't use it. This doesn't apply to fiction, as you can make it expressly clear
So, Nuclear Dawn is on sale for $5, which is awesome because I want it. But it also sucks, because I lack a credit card. Anyone willing to trade it for one/some of my TF2 hats and/or stranges?
I am adding all of you once moer to my list of grievances for failing to tackle me to the ground and pin me there. I got a full night of sleep! You people should be attacking me and breaking bones, lest the Feats of Strength never end!
In no particular order: ~Nintendo for putting Mario Kart Super Circuit in instead of Advance Wars. Advance Wars seemed like a no-brainer, while Mariokart 7 just came out. I don't get this at all, and I'm mad about it. ~My wallet, for being empty a lot. Why are you not bottomless when I need you to be?! ~Brony haters for getting so upset over a show. Seriously, it's a show. Chill! On a related note, ~My fellow bronies for giving them something to hate. It's a show about ponies, what the heck co
Should I play Minish Cap or Sacred Stones next? Both are games I played some of but never much of, and while MInish Cap I lost my GBA copy of, Sacred Stones I wanted to finish the first US-released Fire Emblem game first, even though the plots are in now way connected outside of sharing artifacts called fire emblems.
I seriously need to stop reading about this game, because I'm hovering over buying it and dealing with the subscription payments that I loathe so dearly. I still can't work out how to justify $15 a month in order to play a game I already spent $50 on and might not even play that month - both from my perspective as the customer with not a lot of money, and the publisher's perspective about why they need to do it. I hate Bioware at the same time I love them, for tempting me like this. They've
We're still guaranteed to the playoffs. Ray Lewis is back. Outside of tonight, our defense has been dominant all season. This will be the fourth straight year we've been to the playoffs. Each time Joe's been at the helm. Heck, with a hobbled Big Ben and Pouncey, a suspended Harrison, and a defense-heavy team opposing them in an away game, the Steelers could easily lose tomorrow, in 24 hours, we could well be the #2 seed instead of #5 again. Even if we don't, we had to go through all three rounds
~Metroid Fusion: Got it already. ~Mario Vs. Donkey Kong: Meh. Can't say I care either way that strongly. ~Minish Cap: YESSSSS. I have been hunting a copy of this for the past two years ever since I lost my GBA copy before I finished it. Sweet, sweet closure will finally be mine. For reference, used copies still go for $30, and new copies are upwards of $100, so this is a healthy chunk of the $100 I spent early off right there for me. ~Fire Emblem: This is another one I have. Unlike Metroid
Do you ever have a situation where you're stuck listening to someone wax poetic about someone who's work is the complete antithesis of how you feel the field in-question should be applied, and the very things about their work that you hate are what is being praised, but you bite your tongue because the person gushing is ridiculously argumentative? Because I'd really like to punch someone right now over that very type of thing. Except the person they're rambling about died recently, so I'd feel
Well, glad that's settled. Although come to think of it, it never really hit me either way in the first place since I never got the fad myself. Like I said when addressing it seriously instead of sarcastically, there was a gigantic load of misinformation, and like I said when I was being sarcastic, everyone got upset and serious over nothing. Do I win the scandal?
So much rage from both sides over what amounts to recoloured vectors! At first it was funny, but then it just got kind of sad. But now it's getting kind of funny again.
So, the very awesome TMN drew me as a pony. I daresay it's quite good. If you enjoy the show, ask her about one, believe me, you won't regret it - the stuff she does with these is absolutely top-notch. If you don't enjoy it, disregard this entry. Non-pony content will be up soon enough.
This calls for a party. Preferably of the hard sort. ...I wish I could think of something clever for this entry. Um...it may be a little to modular, but I think I may have another track started? Darn...um...well, most party gifs of the hard variation would probably be a bit erratic for late-night viewing, and this entry is going up pretty late...so have Ray Lewis dancing I guess, that always seems to work. http://360wgs.webs.c...nceRayLewis.gif [image filesize too big for embedding. -Bf
It's weird when you learn just how bulky the chords you've been using for years are by theory standards. And how those weird terms you thought referred to really specific, complex ideas are actually just one note raised a half-step or moved an octave. Learning how keys work is weird too, but helpful. Cookie points if you understand basic music theory and could understand what I'm referring to.
Ever have one of those days when you watch a movie everyone's been telling you for a long time is awesome, and you end up finding the most entertaining part to be trying to read the lips of the actors and figure out what the line was before it was censored for TV?
I also need to study for finals. And get something noticeable done. And hunt down a 42" LCD TV for $400 or less since I couldn't get anything on Black Friday. Plus there's an important handegg game this Sunday. This is going to be one busy weekend.
