Yes, I've noticed this with at least three of our cats. Each time, they passed away a some time later. I remember our last one becoming more "talkative" and sweet than previously in the last several months. She peacefully went to eternal slumber a little over a week ago at age 16. Now it's just me and my puppy.

Sorry about this cheerful post, but the last event was so sudden and left me pretty depressed. These situations probably don't apply and were probably just coincidences, but I would advise you treasure every moment your cat would have something to do with you.

Actually, treasure every moment you have with all your family members like they would be your last. Don't wait until the last moment or you will feel deep regret.

My favorite cat died in a freakshow way a couple years ago involving the top of a garage door... I know how it feels. Pets are quite amazing. It sucks that they have to leave us.
