  1. Now this is great news to wake up to (a day late, but still), haha! It makes me so ridiculously happy to hear that Nathan Furst still cares about the Bionicle community and that he's released a fresh cover of the MoL theme. So much nostalgia! ;w; If there's anything that would never lose its perfection about the original 3 movies, it's the wonderful soundtrack. <3 Fingers crossed he also releases something for LoMN.
  2. I just want to reach through my screen, hug him tight, and never let him go! Also, he is Takua to me until proven otherwise, heheh.
  3. Wow!!! Those MOCs are amazing!!!! Congrazzles to Roa McToa! Akutahn is very stunning and looks like he just walked out of Bionicle universe. Those have got to be the best wings I've ever seen on any set, MOC or otherwise. And not just that either; I love the amount of detail on his armor and especially his mask. I can definitely see this guy ominously flying overhead. Best of luck to you in the final round! I'm sure you'll do great! And congrazzles too to VampireBohrok! Helsephyr is just beautifully creepy. And that photography is just perfect! The lighting and the setting really bring out the spooky little details and add just the right amount of emphasis on his features to give off that shadowy, dangerous atmosphere. I'm not kidding when I say that I almost thought the photo was a 3D rendering at first glance; it was so nicely done and set so beautifully built. I swear, it looks like he just emerged from a shadowy portal from the Bionicle world to ours. o.0
  4. Oh my, I hadn't realized how much I missed Bionicle commercials until I watched this! I'm so happy to see such an epic return. :'D I agree the lasers give an out-of-place Star Wars vibe, but meh, this isn't the first time there's a non-canon odd detail in a commercial.
  5. Just feel like pointing out that there are real life masks with mouths that move with the wearers jaw, which is why I don't get what people have against the movie masks. Besides, the books and serials have described the (masked) characters doing things that can only be done with a mouth and/or are only visible if you have a mouth. Back on the topic of magnetic hands, it actually makes sense for all MU inhabitants to have weak natural magnetism. Considering the fact that they have smooth metallic palms as shown in the canon movie depictions, they would have to because completely smooth surfaces don't grip things very well (hence why we have countless grooves and folds on our palms).
  6. It didn't work for me either this morning on both Safari and Firefox, but after a few minutes it started working again so don't know what's going on.
  7. I really liked the Miramax movies's rendition so I tend to visualize them based on that. Obviously, I had to adjust for species/peoples not in the movie (i.e Skakdi, Barraki, etc.), but I basically just took their set forms and fleshed them out a bit a organic muscle like in the movies in any exposed area. With the Spherus Magnans, I disregard TLR entirely (because COME ON! even the Matoran in the beginning look more organic than they do!) and imagine them looking like regular organic sci-fi alien humanoids. I remember a few fanart back in 2009 slightly adjusting the faces to have a somewhat reptilian look, and even a full-body of an Agori without armor. But admittedly sometimes I get lazy and just think of them as sets with a more fleshed out look.
  8. I'm going to guess bioniclestory.com could be where the web series will air (maybe in addition to the serials)?
  9. I use my mutation rotuka and turn you into a blobfish My mask.
  10. ^This. Though if I had to pick the worst of the bunch: Keetongu, Karzahni, The Chronicler's Company post, the 2008 Makuta, and the Av-Matoran (namely Solek). The first 4 are already covered by others here, so I'm just gonna gripe about how little development the Av-Matoran got compared to Matoran from previous years. I know it might be a bit petty, but I'm especially sour about the fact that Solek talking about being best friends with Takua and asking Kopaka his whereabouts never went anywhere and he was just in the background even after Taka finally was with him and the others. Gosh, with how happy and relieved he is to hear his best friend is alive, I was completely expecting at least a brief reunion scene with Solek being so happy to see his old friend as a Toa. But nope! He doesn't do anything at all besides trailing behind Taka looking for Shadow Matoran to cure. And when Radiak insulted Takanuva? Tanma was the one who spoke up. Not Solek. Not the supposed best friend. Good grief! I can understand a reunion scene being tricky to work into the space allotted for the books, but why not at least use this opportunity to show the old friendship in two words??? Ugh, that one bit of background may as well not have been included at all. Sorry for the rant; just something that's been bothering me since 2008. ^^;
  11. I've seen a few MBTI personality things done for a couple other fandoms I'm in, so I am happy to see someone doing this for Bionicle. And it seems pretty well matched from what I can tell! Anyways, I am very pleased to see that my type (ENFJ) matches up perfectly with Water. I have always felt most connected to that despite also being in love with Light and Plant Life. Wait a minute! INFPs and ISFPs are considered the "natural partners" of ENFJs!!! Maybe that's why I'm so smitten with Taka (and made a plant life Toa character I'm fond of years ago) and why he connects so well with Gali! Okay, it's probably just a weird coincidence, but it does make you wonder!
  12. I thought that face looked familiar! XD Anyways, these are all so adorable! I love how the expressions are conveyed entirely through the eyes, and just really want to hug Tahu right now.
  13. A few days late, but Happy Anniversary LoMN!!! I'm definitely had my favorite art style and easily the best story out of all the movies. I love how the characters had an almost translucent over tone as well as the beautifully emotional orchestral track. Also, Vakama has possibly the most pleasant lilting voice I've ever heard. <3
  14. Your adorableness causes me to bear hug you till your brains pop out. My mask. >;]
  15. Now that I think of it, Kiina's build looks a lot like mine. o_O Well, the torso proportions anyway, but eh. To be honest, I don't know how much I care about female set builds apart from more variation. Streamlined slender builds like the ones in the Miramax movies certainly are appealing, but there are also plenty of nice designs to could be made based on other body types. I personally think buff ladies look pretty cool, and we could do with more stocky female builds in popular media. As for how feminine Gali 2015 is: I think arguing about this is like arguing over what a Rorshach inkblot looks like; it's pretty subjective. I feel like if I didn't know Gali was female (or really anything about Bionicle), I am just as likely to assume she's supposed to be a guy. :\
