Answered: Y/Ν Game 6ish

Well, this is a nicer riddle, taking a little break from the Y/N games for a bit, sorta. You can still ask me questions and all that but you have all the info you need to answer in the riddle. Remember, yes/no questions and when you figure it out, be sure to tell everyone.

There once was a 10-mile long bridge that can support exactly 10 tons, not a single ounce over 10 tons. A freight truck weighing exactly 10 tons starts driving on the bridge. Half way across a bird lands on the bridge, weighing 4 ounces, but the bridge doesn't collapse. Why?

Did it burn up 4 ounces of gasoline before the bird landed? (I'm not even sure if this is possible, but it's worth a shot.)

If you know it beforehand, don't spoil it for everyone else.

Did the bird only stay very (very) briefly? Like, maybe it lighted down for no more than a second and flew off again?

If yes, then:

The bird only landed very briefly. When it sensed the bridge starting to cave a bit, it immediately flew off.

It landed on the bridge, just somewhere on it.

Alright, this is comment 30, I'll give you guys a hint. What could the truck have lost on the bridge before the bird landed?

Did the truck lose any cargo prior to crossing the bridge?

Did it burn up 4 ounces of gasoline before the bird landed? (I'm not even sure if this is possible, but it's worth a shot.)
