Answered: Y/Ν Game 6ish

Well, this is a nicer riddle, taking a little break from the Y/N games for a bit, sorta. You can still ask me questions and all that but you have all the info you need to answer in the riddle. Remember, yes/no questions and when you figure it out, be sure to tell everyone.

There once was a 10-mile long bridge that can support exactly 10 tons, not a single ounce over 10 tons. A freight truck weighing exactly 10 tons starts driving on the bridge. Half way across a bird lands on the bridge, weighing 4 ounces, but the bridge doesn't collapse. Why?

Did it burn up 4 ounces of gasoline before the bird landed? (I'm not even sure if this is possible, but it's worth a shot.)

If you know it beforehand, don't spoil it for everyone else.

After thinking about it, I think I figured it out:

The bridge couldn't hold a single ounce over 10 tons. The bird was more than a single ounce.

Don't worry, this is the first time I've ever heard this riddle. ;)

Um, there were safety cables and the bird's weight becomes negligible?

Off-Topic: Hey! Why is my old name spelled with an "i" with the "y" in front of the "r"? It's "Twilight Helryx, people! :P If you can spell "Helryx" without a problem this shouldn't be too hard, IMO. XP But thanks for including me in your banner! :D

Wait, I think I have a better answer:

The bird landed at the bridge entrance/exit post (which are part of the bridge), And since the first posts are nailed to the ground, the bird's weight isn't actually going to the bridge.

Nope.

Whoops :3

Better guess:

The truck was only halfway onto the bridge, so it didn't have to support all the weight.

So the bird was able to land on it without the bridge collapsing.

Am I right?

Hmmmm.

Is it because the bridge cannot hold a single object thats over 10 tons?

Is it cause the bird didnt land on the top of the Bridge, but on one of its legs?

Did the bird land after that truck left the bridge?

If niether of these.

Where'd the bird land?

What type of bridge was it?

Did the truck not weigh ten tons? :P

Is it because the bird flew off when it saw the truck coming, thus making the weight back to 10 tons?

Did the truck drive off of the bridge? :P

If not

Was it a smart bird? :P

How far away was the bird from the truck?

No, it weighed 10 tons. I said so.

Nope. They were on at the same time.

Nope.

Just a normal bird.

Irrelevant.

Wow this is actually tougher then the last one :P I never knew how delicate a bridge could be xD

Did the truck run over the bird? :P

Did the bridge already collapse? xD

Was the bridge still being built (as in cables n stuff?)

Is this really a bridge or is it a bridge as in a different definition for the word?

If none of these, we need a hint lol

To elaborate on this (sort of), was the bridge on the ground or was it being suspended in the air? (That's not the right term, but I'll assume you know what I mean and won't take advantage of the inaccurate wording :P.)

@Lord O:

No.

No.

No.

It's a real normal(ish; how many bridges hold only 10 tons?) bridge.

@BioGaia:

Not really important.

Well the average camaro (randomly picked car) weighs almost 1 and a 1/2 tons. So if there was 8 of them or cars of same weight on a ten mile bridge (which is highly possible) those bridges would collapse xD Normally I'd expect a 10 mile bridge to hol like 1000 tons or something *random estimating*

Anyways.

Did the truck stop before it could actually make the bridge collapse?

What is this bridge made of?

By freight truck do you mean as in a freight train or just a truck (that goes honk honk vroom vroom :P)

Did the bird land on the truck?

Did the truck lose some cargo?

No, that wouldn't help.

Irrelevant.

An actual truck, not a train.

How would a bird land on a speeding truck? No it didn't.

No.

Changing my guess to avoid double post

I guess the bird was part of the truck's cargo, thus somehow it fell out of the truck, thus landing on the bridge. Seeing as it was part of the truck's weight nothing changed :)
