More Proof That Printers Are Evil

Chols

You know how EVERY SINGLE TIME you print a webpage, even in a print-friendly version, the copyright information always winds up being the only thing on the last page, thus wasting ink and a piece of paper?

THIS ANNOYS ME SO MUCH.

GRRRRRRRRRRR

Anyone else always have this problem?

Oh, I know, tell me about it! And I thought using two napkins during lunch was evil. Pssht, silly me XP

And speaking of evil printers, right when my essay needs printed, the three we do have at our house decide to all not work that day. Lucky me, right? I'm just glad to know I'm not the only one technologically impaired around here.

I was printing an essay written completely in black ink.

I press print

"Out of Red ink"

thus meaning it won't print

WHY WOULD YOU NEED RED

WHYYYY

Because printers will primarily use a CMYK model for their printing inks, meaning they only have cyan, magenta, and yellow cartridges to create all the colours that they need. Sometime they will include black as a fourth cartridge, but if they don't have it, and one colour runs out, then creating black is impossible and it cannot print.

Well, you should see what it's going to look like in Print Setup and tell it to leave off the last page.

True, that's a good habit to get into, but dang it was be annoying to do that every time.

I actually had a printer with four cartridges, one for each color including black, and I had the same problem as Daiker. It's the weirdest thing.

And that printer didn't even include an option for merging CMY when black runs out like some printers I owned. ://
