2011 was a big year for Bionicle, as it was its 10th Anniversary! Let's take a look back and see just how big it was! :D

January

  • The being that caused the Dreaming Plague is revealed to be called Annona
  • Sahmad, Telluris and Metus follow Annona to the Skakdi Fortress, where she confronts the gold-skinned being

February

  • Orde and Gelu escape the intelligent Vorox hunting them, and discover that an MU inhabitant was a GB in disguise!
  • BZPower goes into downtime for a week

March

  • BZPower returns from the week-long downtime
  • COPPA bans BZPower from talking to Greg Farshtey
  • Kopaka and Pohatu scout around the Red Star and meet Mavrah

April

  • BZPower goes into a 5-month downtime

May

June

  • Templar Studios starts posting concept art of the MNOLG

July

  • Telluris is killed, and Sahmad teams up with the gold-skinned being to defeat Annona
  • BZPower turns 10

August

September

October

  • LEGO CUUSOO enters beta, and fans propose to bring back Bionicle (petitioning to bring back a line is no way to celebrate it)
  • BZPower returns from its 5-month downtime

November

  • BZPower goes into downtime for about a week

December

  • BionicleSector01 goes into downtime and remains down to this day

As you can see here, Bionicle had a fantastic 10th anniversary, which you'll agree many fans loved.

Oh who am I kidding... :crying:

"COPPA bans BZPower from talking to Greg Farshtey" is not necessarily accurate. First, you used "ban" in the way that many have argued over. Moreover, COPPA had already existed for over a decade. Thus, it was LEGO policy based on COPPA that kept Greg from contacting younger members. Plus, we could always say it was really the other way around, since Greg was the one bound be LEGO policy, but both are technically accurate. Further, Greg continued to communicate with Alyska and a few other BZP members, so really LEGO just kept Greg (and Binkmeister) from communicating with members whose ages were unknown or known to be under 13.

I'd also like to ask what you mean by "BZPower turns 10," as "BZP" (in a loose sense of the term) had existed as BZCommunity and Kanohi Power before their merger. (But I'm too lazy to research the timeline at the moment).

Finally, BIONICLE was released on December 30 of 2000 in Europe--but that's just splitting hairs. (June/July was of 2001 was the North America release, if you'd like to add that in there, and presumably some parts of the world got BIONICLE even later.)

Oh, goodness, why did I just write all of that?

>2011

>big year for Bionicle

excuse me whilst I lol

My point exactly. 2011 was Bionicle's 10th anniversary, so it was SUPPOSED to be a big year! That's what 10th anniversaries are supposed to be with any franchise.

I should also point out BS01 isn't -down- really, it's just not restored fully.

Well to the end user it's "down" because we can't access any tablets. That's what I mean.

You can access most pages. It's just the ones we have yet to restore that will take a bit.

And thankfully at this point that's now many.
