I kinda like to think the name Twilight, which refers to an intermediate time of day between sunlight and moonlight, represents how she settled the feud between Celestia and Luna and managed to reunite them.

But that's just me.

I'm still trying to figure out how the royalty/government/monarchy system works in this series. I think we need a season 3 episode dedicated to explaining why we have three princesses, no queens, and who Luna's/Celestia's other siblings are. Because if Blueblood is the nephew and Cadance is the niece...

Technically the only game where Zelda served as a queen was Twilight Princess, and that's because the Twili (Twiley?) invasion interrupted her coronation. Other games usually have a king as well, who very often meets a bitter end at the hands of Ganon.
