The place that we see Ekimu hammer Makuta looks more like a region of earth to me and so that is what I would go with.

While I apologize for perhaps setting to tone here to be less than helpful (and for not at least providing a serious answer after a dumb joke) I do have to say that considering how little we've seen of either, it's really hard to have an opinion either way. *shrug*

It's no big deal, and you do raise a good point.  I thought I would at least see if there were any opinions potential readers might have, and I guess the general lack of opinions means I don't need to worry too much about where I set the story.
