You could always try a hairstyle from Star Wars.  Rey's hairstyle wouldn't work for you, but I'd give Padme's a try. With the length that your hair is, you might even be able to pull it off without extensions.

the hair itself is not the problem. only that the length is apparently more uncommon than I'd thought.
