I'm pretty sure it was just a joke. I know the member personally, and he isn't the kind of guy to lie about something like that.

When I have to wake up to PMs from people who are taking it seriously and asking me if that's a legit model, then I have to waste my time looking into it and telling them it's fake. He not only posted it as legitimate, but argued with people who said it wasn't, which I think is carrying a joke too far.

Let me bring to your attention, people, that a lot of members (including myself) aren't very gullible. In fact, a lot of us are very hard to trick. It's just that we can't understand things like ftw or kutgw. It's just impossible until someone tells us what they mean.

I was merely referring to the obvious falsity of it all -- lack of pics, un-Matoran-like build, early find, etc.

You don't need the ability to decipher an acronym to see it is fake.

I have never heard that acronym before, and I have been a staff member here for a few years now. So it would be unrealistic to expect everybody to know what that meant (or worse, intentionally relying on that). As far as I would guess, "TIF" is a mispelling of "TIFF", the file type.

I'm not going to comment on the entry -- I'll leave that to the blog staff -- but that argument doesn't hold water. To me the question, why post a prank, when it is the beginning of October, nowhere near April? At best that is highly unwise.

And Omi is right. If i wanted it to be passed as real, i would have put it in the Sets forum

And another member posted pictures of "2008 Matoran" And i don't see anything about him.

And the "arguing" was apart of the joke, sorry if it was taken too far. I never intended for Members to pass it off as real and then send you tons of PMs asking if it's real.
