Gone 2-11 -- 2-15

Hey guys,

Just so everyone knows, I am offline from 2-11 through 2-15 -- I have LEGO Club meetings to attend.

Other news --

2009 story team meeting and set focus groups coming up at the beginning of March.

Movie call this week -- we are still quibbling over the beginning of the picture, but everything else seems set.

BIONICLE 12, due out in March, has been approved and is on its way to the printer. BIONICLE 13, which will be out in July, has been written early and is with DC -- my understanding is that Australia is going to be distributing that issue (not sure how) and so needed it early.

They still can't decide on the beginning?

Well, I'll try to keep your inbox from exploding while you're gone. :P

Still can't decide on the beginning?

Well, it's probably pretty important. It's the start of something new after all!

Well, thank you for the information, Greg!

Wait, you said comic 13 is coming out in July, right? Doesn't that mean that the May comic is being skipped, since comic 12 is being release next month?

But I hope you have a good time while you're gone!

The debate over the beginning of the film really centers on how much of the end of 2008 do we feel it's necessary to show, and in what order.

^ Hm, that's interesting. Obviously, something in 08 really affects 09, for it to be in the very beggining of the movie. ^
The same could probably be said for any year; remember that each year's end is the lead off to the following year's storyline. It usually is pretty big.

I know you might not know, but in the case of the opening would making it longer take away from another part or isn't there an established time for the movie and you could add as you wanted (refering to the company of course).

Aus-Australia? Since when does Australia get Comics?

I have one comic. The first one. So we actually get a real comic in Aus? Cool!

Movie sounds great.

Whatever hapened to May-June? are we skipping it? .... *thinks*

Well, I suppose there might be something else instead of the comic... (Nudges GregF, a feat that is seemingly impossible. XD)

What is going on with the comics this year?

I am really concerned, because since 2006, we've lacked a physical Bionicle comic in January. While an online supplement in January 2007 somewhat made up for this, it just was not the same. There is a gap in my collection now, unless I print off color sheets of the online comic.

But now, with this year setting the stage for the final battle between the Toa Nuva and the Brotherhood of the Makuta, the story should be quite expansive. There is no January comic, and the first book of the year, concerning the Phantoka, is not even available for another couple of months. And if there is no May-June comic, what are we supposed to do then? Is everything just going to "explode" towards Fall 2008?

Or did I misunderstand your post? Sorry if I did. I just really like the setup for this year with the wonderful website, four-minute retrospective video, awesome online serials, and of course, the return of the Toa Nuva. It hinted at an awesome story to come. But here we are in mid-February, and there is absolutely no concrete story to speak of concerning the Toa Nuva and the Makuta. Any clarification would be most appreciated.
