Lightning Storm
Just a minute ago I was standing outside in pouring rain, watching the sky turn white every few seconds from lightning. The sort of lightning where you can't even see where it really is, deep inside the clouds, but the result lights up everything even more brightly than the moon – including casting the clouds into sharp relief. It was incredible.
Clearly this vacation-thing is off to a good start. There were some difficulties with Brickfair MOCs (including the BBCC50 one – Tiome had to be scrapped) which I may resolve with Tufi's assistance, but the poster, at least, is coming along well.
And as for the LotR sleepover, it was inconveniently timed but awesome. It ended up being only three of us, since Youri didn't show up, but we still had a great time. All three extended edition movies, though we did Return of the King Saturday morning. We played Lord of the Rings Risk, which actually has a definite end but ended in conquest by the forces of evil. They had a cave troll. And at one point we did simply walk into Mordor.
And then we went swimming at three AM, and stayed up talking until five. *heart* I was so tired the next afternoon, but it was fun...
Apparently the best of the rain is yet to come. I'm looking forward to it.
