1) Lego Sandcrawler -$100- will get next if it doesn't sell out. Current status: $25 towards it, plus the required 15% for charity and the 15% for saving.

2) Red Nintendo DS Lite + Pokemon Pearl -$165- will get next if Sandcrawler sells out. Current status: zero towards it, zero for charity and saving.

aaaaaaaand I already have another $15 and $15 for giving and saving.

I considered waiting for Platinim, but that's six freaking months away. If it's that much better I'll just buy it.

Oh and I make $10 an hour for yard work (like mowing and weeds and raking) and $5 and hour for cleaning rental cars. So that's decent income for a children like me.

Maybe I can get -help- on the DS at Christmas. Not enough money to just buy it, unless that's all I got from anybody...

Here's hoping they'll release DS' in more colors this year! (Purple!)

You make more raking the yard than I do at my job. :o

On the other hand, I was paid handsomely for home landscaping work this summer. I think families are better than minimum wage.

Good luck savin' up.

Pfft. I get 5$ an hour. And 10$ when at a job.* And most of the jobs I got to are fairs, which are 4 or more hours and only like 5 people come.

*My Mom owns a traveling petting zoo and pony ride buiness, so sometime I go with her to jobs.

The Nintendo company isn't making any new colors for the Lite, but expect a price drop before the DSi comes out around April. ;)

Purple would be WIN.

Good luck. =)

OMG HOW DO YOU MAKE MORE MONEY THAN ME

Oh wait, just remembered that I sometimes make $10 in a week and that's the max ever.

Nooooooo! Not a new version. :(

Now I have to decide... wait six months and get a better, more expensive monochromatic system... or get one NAO... and have it be colorful and inferior. I don't like life. ;_;

Edit: Just looked up some more info on it... yeah, I'm not waiting. I'd have to wait until Summer 09, and there's no way I'm doing that. XD

And you'd also be waiting for the loss of the GBA slot for several slightly useless features.

Exactly. I think the only thing the new system gets from that it's slightly smaller...

No.

Save up for BrickFest in March. It's in Portland.

That's what the "save" is for. Actually I'magonna try to visit all my friends back in Texas first, and then go to Brickcon at some point in the next few years.

The DSi, apparently, has/will have a shop site like the Wii (Downloadable GBA/Game Boy games?), internet access (obviously), a camera, a SD memory card slot, larger screens (.15 inches ZOMG), and no GBA slot.

Yeah, I wouldn't wait either. >>

Not BrickCon. BrickFest. Bigger and more popular and stuff. Also not all that much further.

And if you only have $30.00 spending money you probably have much less BrickFest money. I'd buy the 'Crawler, go to BrickFest (see if your parents will pay for the hotel or something - I only have to pay half), go to Texas, then buy the video game or whatever it is you want.

Considering how much money you earn, this should only take a year or so.

Your priorities are skewed.

DS > Sandcrawler > Texas > Brick Convention of an Undetermined Variety

I might not go to a Brick Con until I'm 18. I feel no rush.

No. You FAIL. Besides, you don't need to be eighteen if you are accompanied by someone over said age.

It'd have to be someone from BZPower, and I'm not really comfortable with that.

No, it wouldn't. I went with my dad. He's not a BZP Member.

But you could drive there. My parents would never want to fly there for two reasons:

1) No extra cash. (I still get paid, but they don't have the money to go do stuff. Living in Hawaii is expensive and the business is unpredictable.)

2) They would be bored out of their minds. (my mom probably would enjoy looking at the models, but beyond that...)

Hmm..

What do you mean, I would?

I would buy a DS with a toaster?

I would not.

It would have to have a bread holder too.

Bread holder is ten bucks extra.

1) Hm. I suppose.

2) Not necessarily. My dad didn't exactly have fun, but he wasn't bored out of his mind either.
