I say Sandcrawler first, but that's just me. Getting Pokemon first is more ideal IMO, but it's less practical. You could always buy Sandcrawler off the internet, but I dunno.

If you buy the DS and Pokemon later, go to Gamestop. Buy a used set. Also, the longer you wait, the higher chance you have of the prices going down, what with the DSi coming out in a few months.

Hmm true. It's still $10, though. The games are prolly going to be about $5 less, but pretty much the same condition. I'd at least buy the game used, if I were you.

Pokemon will take over your life, but it'll be fun.

Sandcrawler will be incredibly huge and not as great without other SW sets, but a mine of pieces and awesomeness.

It's a tough one.

But unless you're obsessed with awesome graphics, I'm pretty sure all the Pokemon games are essentially the same. Unless you have Wi-fi. =\

Even though you've made up your mind, I suggest the Sandcrawler. It has infinitely many more uses and has some amazing parts. You could always MAKE a Pokemon out of it.

If you have Wi-Fi, then Diamond/Pearl are a little bit different than the old games... But yeah, you're pretty much always gonna be able to get a DS and Pokemon. Sandcrawlers are Hard To Find!, or something like that.
