Spherus Magna

You know all the theories going around about Spherus Magna splitting into pieces after the war over Energized Protodermis?

...

That's exactly what happened to the Slizer Planet, isn't it?

I made a topic a while back on the subject of Bionicle and Slizer being connected. It was closed since Bones said "Lego simply doesn't do crossovers."

But what if they did?

It seems kind of weird. Bara Magna and Slizer Planet seem similar, almost in a freaky kind of way. They both have organic beings, swamps and jungles (and various other regions), and have similar looking denizens (kinda)

But I'm not saying Spherus Magna is Slizer, but Bara Magna resembles Slizer. It's kind of freaky.

Actually I think it's vice-versa, seven planets became one... or something like that, they never really explained that well.

Lego have a habit of repeating themselves about these sorts of things. It's a bit like how Rock Raiders, Mars Mission and the Rock Monsters line all involve collecting crystals. Or how Life on Mars and Mars Mission both involve humans visiting Mars. Or how Exo-Force borrows its name from the 'evil' racing team from the Drome Racers line. Or how Alpha Team, Spybotics and Agents all revolve around spies. Etcetera etcetera.

I'm not saying it's necessarily a bad thing, though.

Lego do repeat themselves a lot, I agree.

But what if the whole thing was a gift to the REALLY old school fans, and not just Lego repeating themselves? But if Lego did that, some fans who are incredibly new would have no freakin' clue WHAT'S going on!

Lol, to the best of my knowledge, there were two storylines; Single World (European, and therefore better and more sense...ical), and the Multi-World (American, and therefore nonsensical). A meteor struck the single world storyline, and that's where Blaster/Flare/Spark came from.

I've been meaning to ask Greg if he can throw in a Slizers reference somewhere.
