Hit The Streets

Valentine's Day Blog

Man, did DB4Z and I have fun.

He got on AIM around ten and we started talking. He insisted that I buy Kirsten (heck, "the girl I like" gets annoying to type) a present for Valentine's Day. My mom and sister had already left to shop, though, and I knew there was no way she'd go back out, so DB4Z asked if we could bike to downtown.

My mom, surprisingly, said yes.

But it took awhile for him to get here - his dad had to drop him off at the intermediate school, and then he had to ride here, which took about 40 mins. We left around 11.

We just biked over to Main Street and start browsing shops, looking for a bike rack (at the time, we'd been expecting to stay on that street for a while). Eventually, we decided to explore more places, and we started biking all over...

We went to Pawn Shops, Antique stores, gas stations, you name it, we went there.

Three of the more notable stops were:

Gas station: We bought a ninety-nine cent 2L bottle of orange soda because we thought we were going to be too cheap to buy drinks when we stopped for lunch.

Dollar General: The only place we bought something useful. I picked up an *adorable* teddy for Kirsten. I'm going to get pictures of it, I think. xP Just to be clear, NO, I haven't given it to her yet. Worst comes to worst, she says no to me, and I stare at the teddy bear for a week, depressed. :)

Isy Belle's: A nice little cafe in a not-so-nice corner of town. The food was great, really - I got potato soup, and DB4Z went with a fishburger and fries. The meal cost a total of $11.29, but we totaled around $8 together, and he didn't want to break out the twenty. But the guy at the register told us it was close enough and took it. We tipped our guy, too, but we kinda jipped that, too - as in, we gave him sixty cents. XD

We rode back to Main Street and sat in a little bench place for a bit. We tried calling Kirsten, but she didn't pick up, and eventually we decided to go back to my place (shortly after a friend called DB4Z and we decided to go play football at the elementary school).

We dropped off my wallet and cell phone, which was out of charge, along with the <3able teddy, and we went to Fish's. Hehe, sorry, I have no other name for the guy. :P Making up pseudonyms on the spot isn't easy.

DB4Z told me to leave my helmet behind, that these weren't the kind of guys you should ride around wearing a helmet with, and I quickly understood. Man, that one kid was...wow.

We sneaked into the back of the school (I don't think we were supposed to be back there) through the woods and played football for a bit. The one creepy kid tackled me and hurt me pretty bad--

Oh, right, I skipped something. xP

Kirsten called DB4Z back about halfway through the woods. He told her that we'd been "eating lunch together" and she said something *ahem*, at which point I flicked DB4Z off at his reply of "No, Nick's not like that! He likes you!"

Please excuse my finger. ;)

So now, we left when the girl's soccer team came to the field, and I went home. I wanted to talk to her, but it didn't...yeh. I couldn't get a hold of her. Apparently, she was at church, and I wasn't able to get a hold of her after.

The others rode back around in downtown, as far as I know.

Oh, and did you notice? I GOT MY NAME BACK! :D
