Darnit LEGO, just when you'd nearly lost me, you go all awesome and drag me back in! I seriously doubt I'll have the money for most of the new Bionicle stuff, all the Power Miners stuff, and one or two of the Star Wars things!

 

As I just raved about, the new Glatorian are a significant improvement over the old ones. Gelu (?) lacks Strakk's crazy colours, which is good. The Admiral is like Malum, except far better, and he's MATA-RED, which is good. Stronius is like a very bulky Skrall, which is good. Mata Nui doesn't entirely suck, which is good. Kiina looks questionable, but she's (?) got some excellent recolours and a reasonably feminine build, which is good. And Vastus isn't Gresh, which is good. :P

Gelu has the same bad colors as Strakk; he just uses a normal, boring Inika torso and silver swords instead of an awesome ice axe. Really, half the summer sets are the best since 2002, and the other half are utterly awful. I'm afraid I'll have to get all of them, though, thanks to my stupid collector-ism.

 

Oh, and I'm personally under the belief that Ackar is the female one, not Kiina. Which would also make up for the horribility of Gali Mistika and Gorast with Ackar's awesomeness.

Stronius isius thius onlius onius thatius isius somewhatius goodius. The rest are pretty terrible, and the vehicles aren't impressive anymore, and all but Stronius and Mata Nui suffer from stupid masks/helmets/faces/whatever. The Glatorian helmets are much better, even Vorox.

It's not the colors themselves, it's the color schemes of the sets. White, silver, light blue, Metru blue, blended light blue and white, and translucent blue aren't that great when all stuffed into one set. Come to think of it, Gelu doesn't have the light blue, but it's the Metru blue that ruined Strakk's awesomeness anyway, and it looks like Gelu has looots of Metru blue.

I liked the vehicles this year. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think a saw a motorcycle-esque set in there! :o
