It's because she's a Main Character. And one that the Audience is meant to Identify With. Thus, she is powerful and always saves older people's butts and always teaches them something, to endear her to the Audience more.

Because the series writers lack any real knowledge of the franchise, and were hired because no-one else was interested in becoming involved with it because the Original Trilogy is making it gradually implode?

Er, insanely high Midiclorian count? :P

Beat's me, her very existence defies all probability. How come the Jedi council let's Anakin have a padawan and they won't even let him become a Jedi master?

Quinlan Vos didn't become a master until his padawan's knighthood. ;P

And Ki-Adi Mundi sat on the council as a knight. (Darn you, prequel continuity. :o)

What I don't understand is why they don't trust him enough to grant him the rank of master, but they trust him enough to be responsible for taking care of a padawan.

Her existence defies Star Wars. If she was this powerful, why aren't any Masters starting to think she might be the Chosen One, and not Anakin? Sure, he might be pretty powerful now, but that's because he's like, 10 years older than her. :P

It's so viewers won't feel as bad when Anakin kills her later. After all, if she was SUPER POWERFUL, then at least she had that.

What frustrates me about Ahsoka is that this is the first time she's ever been mentioned, ever. I get the George Lucas gets this weird thrill from messing with the EU, but still, Anakin didn't have a Padawan in Revenge of the Sith, so where the heck does she go? Why no mention? Why not just make the TV show and cartoon movie not suck as much as they do? Why not just stick to the old stylized Clone Wars cartoon series that Cartoon Network aired before EIII came out? That one was awesome.

Hmm, I don't know.

BTW, what's the difference between an apprentece and a padawan?

Apprentice is Sith, Padawan is Jedi. Right?

Because COMPUTERS.

Heck, if we're going this way, why'd he make the new trilogy at all? XD

It's obvious. She dies.

I don't like Ahsoka's character. It raises too many questions for me. Rather, she no longer exists in my version of the story. Also Rex is not Rex, he is Alpha. Because Alpha deserves it more.

I <3 the original series. Especially the shark gunship. The animation on the new one isn't bad, I just don't like all the continuity stuff. Like why does Plo Koon have a newer version of a starfighter then uses the older version in Ep. III? Why are the gunships changed in here, then changed back in Ep. III? Also the battle droids talk way too much and some of the stuff that they say a battle droid wouldn't say. Like intelligent conversation for example.

Plus now the new Lego SW sets have ugly anime faces. =(

No, Padawan is every young Jedi in training. An apprentice is specific to those who have masters. So an apprentice is also a Padawan, but a Padawan isn't an apprentice.

One work: Acklay.

Ok, I'd give you more, but I'd probably be trampled by prequel haters.

Lol, I don't hate the prequels, but they're just so... different. And I think in this case that's a worse thing. =/

They're still pretty good though.

I liked the prequels, and I feel they got sorta better as they went on. Gungan society bothered me back in the day (Mobile shield generators? Underwater bubble cities? Where was that technology when the Rebels needed it?), but it didn't ruin my opinions of the first movie and certainly didn't ruin my opinions of the rest (which helped bring back the industrial, wartime feel Star Wars deserved).

And yes, CF, there was the Acklay. =P
