What is the fun in scaring yourself?

Why do people make 'n' watch horror movies?

And WHY do I always listen to songs that make me see pictures I'd never want to see?

lol. I dunno why I always do stuff like that, but at least it gives me many ideas ^_^

People like to scare themselves because it gives them a pleasuring adrenaline rush, making the entire body stimulated and exited for the next scary thing to come.

Your opinion would be nice as well.

Um...

I can't tell you, because I haven't finished a degree in psychology yet, I'm not a people person (can't you tell? :P) and I really don't know too many people whom I can ask.

Because it's freaking hilarious seeing their face when the serial killer goes BOO!!!!

:superfunny: but you can't see yourself xD

No movie has ever scared me

I have seen numerous horror flicks and never winced

The way my mind works is that I am so analytical of the movie, emotions such as fear do not even register

In other words: Im to smart to be scared by Hollywood

Getting scared or not doesn't really have much to do with how clever you are <_< *feels insulted*

From my point of view it's more about how you approach life, or films. Analytical persons aren't scared that easily, that might be true.

But being scared of a movie doesn't mean you're not smart or similar  Some people are scared because they have a very active imagination and maybe, even without knowing, imagine how it would feel if they were in the victim's place.

And there are emotional people, who really "live with the film", who tend to forget that it's just acting for some time. And you have to admit, if these films would happen in reality, it would be very, vdery scary.

And there's also a mix of the two - emotional and imaginative. People like me.

I try to scare myself. Believe me, I try. I don't get scared easy. I mean, I watched "The Grudge 2" and LAUGHED. I merely blinked when I saw a guy get his head lopped off in "30 Days of Night". Any suggestions for REAL horror movies?
