:kaukau:The only problem is that I can't read the blog categories.

I was a bit worried about using a cursive font for that part....because it feels that it's becoming such a lost form of writing, people are forgetting how to read it as well.

Glad you like it, though. :)

:kaukau:Okay, reading through the interests lists a second time, though, I was able to read it better.

It's just that, you know, the way adults write in cursive, where every single squigle looks the same, it can be hard to read. You added a bit of character to it, but not quite to that extent.

Me, personally, when I write in cursive, I try to write slow and need, because cursive to me indicates that the writer had the time to write something sophisticated. Generally, that's not true, I know. It's just my approach, so my cursive can be quite easy to read. It's the type you might expect to find in a textbook for cursive. I'm not too creative with it. Then if I come across anything that doesn't look like it came from one of those little textbooks on handwriting you get in early grade school, I have to be a bit more of a steady reader.

I'll admit, though, that I have forgotten a little of my cursive. Mainly, the capital letters.

By the way, are the backgrounds from the Giving Tree? That's what I associate it with.

They aren't, actually. They were just from a random tree illustration I found. But, now looking at them, they kind of do look like they might be from it (I love that book too, BCii!)

Oh man, cursive (and handwriting in general) from people who write it and it just becomes one crazy squiggle drives me mad. There's that fine point where it varies between adding your own style to your handwriting that is legible and creative, or it just becoming a horrid unreadable mess, and unfortunately finding that midpoint is kind of difficult sometimes.
