Since you locked your blog entry on the subject for some reason, I felt obligated to explain through another venue that the reasons behind Mr. Witt's promotion are not remotely confusing to those of us who were at Brickfair and especially the Outback Steakhouse in Fairfax, VA last night, and since we comprise a large portion of the staff, this is clearly not an isolated instance of madness like the power struggles of April 1st. Steve Witt was promoted with the consent of all of us (though of course Sixboss made the ultimate decision), which was given for reasons which you would have to meet the man to fully appreciate. You say hard work and not awesomeness is the qualifier for staffiness? Well, Steve Witt has worked hard to be awesome. Or maybe the hard work is an effect of his awesomeness. Either way, he does both hard work and awesome things, such as specially recognizing the vibrant youth of Brickfair.

In addition, there have been murmurings of late among certain elements about Brickfair continually resulting in staff promotions. Black Six's shrewd move here has both affirmed this tradition and perhaps called it into question for those who believe this to be a joke.

As well, let us make one thing clear: There can only be one Steve Witt. GregF cannot be as awesome as Steve Witt, Chuck Norris cannot be as awesome as Steve Witt, and Smeagol4 cannot be as awesome as Steve Witt (though I <3 him so). Steve Witt, and only Steve Witt, is deserving of this honorary promotion.

Concerning Nuju Metru, he was the only other Forum Mentor to have attended Brickfair and met Mr. Witt, so it only stands to reason that he would serve as the Voice of Steve or whatever his position is. You can still PM the other FMs for regular Forum Mentory stuff, no problem.
