Step 1: Earthbender uses two small wedges beneath his/her feet to propel him/herself forward.

 

Step 2: Earthbender hits the ground at their feet, simultaneously pulling a rock from that point and using the wedges to push themselves into the air.

 

Step 3: The wedges become pillars that propel the earthbender into the air. The rock also begins to emerge.

 

Step 4: The Earthbender is shot into the air, pulling the rock out and beginning to flip over.

 

Steps 5-7: The Earthbender flips through the air, bringing the rock around.

 

Step 8: The Earthbender throws the rock, assisted by the rotation momentum.

 

Step 9 (not shown): Hilarity ensues.

Assuming the hoops can withstand rocks thrown at them.

This got me excited for the new show.

 

I also imagined this while an earthbender was rock-skating.
