Hah I used to get shocked by my headphones because of the static of my old bed sheets.

Um... there's a reason people unplug appliances during thunder storms...

 

I say that god protected your home!.

That very same storm came through Springfield at about 11AM. While we were on our way to eat breakfast, we witnessed a lightning bolt strike a church steeple.

They do?

Had lightning hit our house once. Didn't damage anything though...

I do believe that same storm rolled through here in south Jersey last night. I was asleep for like ten minutes when this massive thunder woke me up.

 

Uncool.

Once, lightning struck a pecan tree in my grandparents' backyard. They said it was really loud. Figures. Plus the fact that we would pick the pecans off of the ground and make pecan pie. We can't do that anymore though. Now half the bark is gone, too. It looks weird. But I'm glad that no one got hurt.
