Heh, I could see how some parents would want their children to avoid seeing it, mine let me make my own decisions though. It's a good movie, I recommend watching it once the ring goes on that finger.

Ahh, that's a bit more understandable. It's a great book, though. My school just recently did a The Princess Bride play. Loads of fun.
