  1. I swear, in the Mata Nui Saga it kinda looks like the CCBS, especially the legs.
  2. Agreed on that last bit. I remember at one point wondering to my self when will Teridax re-incarnate, then I said 'Oh, wrong series...'
  3. I used to think CaptainInvictus, BLTNGM guy, was Tenebrae Invictus. Until I googled Invictus.
  4. Greg's books were THE best books I've ever read. He should be MORE involved.
  5. No. When we saw Tahu, all we knew was that he came from a canister in 2001. The same as every introduced character. HECK, What was ANYONE doing on that island in 2001 WHO were they!?
  6. The only ones I really liked were Toa Hordika Nuju and Whenua's weapons, the Toa Hagah Rhotuka Launcher Shield, Iruini's Spear, and Pohatu Nuva Phantoka's spinny stuff.
  7. Zyglak is food poisoning. Kraata are AIDs
  8. How about this. It takes place far in the future on Spherus Magna. All organic beings died out only leaving the MU inhabitants and whatever creatures were more mechanical than organic there on the planet. So we eliminate the whole 'too much species is too complex to understand' argument. OR Spherus Magna gets obliterated, everyone takes refuge on another planet. New location, new mysteries.
  9. BIONICLE Battle of the Spiders - 2015 Let's get back on topic before we start discussing leaked info.
  10. I can't wait for my Fikou, Sea Spider, Visorak and Lord of not to be named fight it out. Who will be the true lord of the spiders?
  11. Might as well say what those 6 WERE. Toa Hordika Nuju - Combined for the Sea Spider and extra pieces used for a rebuilt Ko-Matoran Toa Hordika Whenua - Both Horidakas broken down for the Sea Spider Combo. Toa Nuva Phantoka Kopaka - Broken down for Vezon Toa Nuva Phantoka Pohatu - lost an arm... for Vezon of course... Barraki Pridak - Replaced legs, for Vezon... Agori Berix And one promotional set called "White Piraka - Thok" whom I as a head canon call a mutated Skakdi who was shrunk via the venoms of a Sea Spider. If my MOCs are included. A Mahri Nui Ga-Matoran built from rip-off LEGO pieces, wear a legit Faxon, and a few other legit pieces. A rebuilt Ko-Matoran Hordika, built from Toa Hordika Nuju's pieces, closely resembles the rebuilt Matoran Kazi Turaga Whenua, previously a Turaga of Magnetism, but I have since gotten more pieces such as the Drill of Onua, so it is Whenua now. Wears a copper colored Huna. Vezon, built from various sets, along with ordered parts Now for my newly recieved ones. Toa Hagah Iruini Av-Matoran Solek Rahi Fikou Visorak Roporak Rahkshi of Heat Vision
  12. I'm working on a near MOC for 2 reasons. 1. The first and most important was that BIONICLE 2015 was coming and I wanted to break apart my 2 Toa Nuva Phantoka sets to build something canon. Most combiners were extinct now... I realized I had some Skakdi parts someone gave me in trade for doing his homework (this was 3 something years ago or so) and said, "Hey, I should build Vezon!" And build him, I did. 2. This one was quickly debunked by Greg. I wanted to have a Vezon that showed that he absorbed the Olmak, I was gonna order the Olmak and a couple gold coloured pieces. Then I asked Greg and he saved my some bucks by saying Vezon looked the same. I don't have to cut the Ignika off, I could easily say that is the Olmak! I'm almost done with it, I just need the correct head and some recolors and correct legs, and it is completed! http://www.majhost.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=4030390 http://www.majhost.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=4030391 And on price, Vezon and Fenrakk has Fenrakk in it, who no longer is Fenrakk and the Vezon and Kardas set is too expensive and has a non-canon shield on Vezon. I'll probably end up getting one or 2 Rahkshi. I'm currently thinking about the white one (Korahk I think?) and the Blue one. The Toa Metru are Turaga now and the Vahkhi are scrap now. I actually have Vahki Bohrdahk but it was created by some fake-oh Enlightened Assembly company, I used it for pieces to make a Ga-Matoran from Mahri Nui. EDIT: MY CURRENT PICKS ARE AS OF THIS MOMENT: Kaxium V3Cendox V1GahlokMorakMacku (after rebuild)PanrahkGuurahk
  13. Feels good to start using the term, BIONICLE Gen 1. Anyways, I am continuing my buying of several "GEN 1" BIONICLE sets. Now I don't know which ones to get because there are so many to chose from. Help me here. My criteria: 1. Generally must cost nowadays on sites like eBay or Amazon about less than $20USD. 2. Must be cool looking, have a cool function, or anything of the sort. Heck, I'd say all BIONICLEs are cool. I got the Fikou, THAT IS COOL! 3. This is probably the most important one for me. They must be canonically ALIVE, or in the current state that their set form is in. I don't want to be buying some dead Toa/Matoran/Turaga or extinct rahi species, or some Matoran who has long since transformed into Toa, or Makuta who have met their end long ago, or Toa who are no longer in their Karda Nui forms (canonically they are in a desert form and jungle form(for Lewa). Thanks! Oh and one last thing, though this pertains to canon. Are the Barraki still in their mutated forms? I think I read that their mutations were cured by Mata Nui, but I'm not sure if that refers to their inability to breath air, or their severe mutations. EDIT: I suppose I should mention the sets I already have to avoid someone repeating them. Toa Hagah Iruini Rahkshi of Heat Vision Roporak Fikou Solek Toa Nuva Kopaka (Adaptive Armor) Toa Nuva Pohatu (Adaptive Armor) Pridak Toa Hordika Whenua and Nuju (Combined to create the Sea Spider) Berix I was looking for Toa Hagah Norik to complete the two Hagahs, but it seems the cheapest one is a NIB one for $55 USD. And I see a lot of Iruinis. Somehow there are more Iruinis than Noriks. Norik must be popular... (even though Iruini has the better color scheme and rhotukas.)
  14. Has BIONICLE 2015 influenced you to go and buy old BIONICLE sets? It sure has for me. I already bought, Toa Hagah Iruini, Roporak, the Fikou promotional set, Solek and Rahkshi of Heat Vision, along with a bunch of parts.
  15. A straight retelling would be perhaps the worst kind of reboot for the BIONICLE franchise. The answers to all the major mysteries could be spoiled with a simple Google search. The new fans who might have been most likely to enjoy the complexity of the BIONICLE storyline — the sort who love to engage with the storyline online with other fans, and who love following along with all the plot twists and unfolding mysteries, and who are always on the lookout for new story details and developments — would be the LEAST likely to enjoy a straight retelling, because anything surprising about the original story would be sucked out of the new one as soon as they started to connect with older fans. Since Greg Farshtey himself seems to think a reboot is the best way to bring BIONICLE back, I'm surprised so many fans of the original storyline are skeptical of the idea. A reboot would be incredibly liberating for both the writers and fans of the new BIONICLE. I completely 100% doubt it is a straight reboot. After all, Lord of not-to-be-named never appeared in the first run of BIONICLE, unless it was and I just wasn't told about it...
  16. Agreed with bad guy who has nothing to do with skulls or spiders. I want it to fight my Visorak.
  17. How many times will I need to say this. Bota Magna and Aqua Magna are NOT moons, they are planets with their own independent orbit around Solis Magna!
  18. I kept reading around BrickLink and eBay that they replaced the batteries in the light up eyes they are selling. Since when was this possible, and how?
  19. The good thing with the Glatorian though, was that everyone could fight each other. I never liked buying villains much because most of them ended up being either dead or transformed, and I don't like dead characters in my collection... For example, all the Piraka are transformed now, and even in 2007 they were snakes, I think. All 2008 villains, minus that one Shadow Matoran, Vultraz I think, ended up dying, or reverted back to their original state, like the Av-Matoran. The Barraki's mutations are revered now, yet I still have Pridak together in one piece... At one point the Visorak went extinct, and then the Bohrok and Kal were dormant, and now they could be considered 'good guys'. Tuma is exiled with status unknown too... The only alive and still in set form villains left would be: the Rahi, Rahkshi, Visorak, several Skakdi of Water, Vezon and some Skrall. Then the combiners like the Zyglak, TSO, and various rahi. And some titans like Roodaka and the sort... Which is why I wanted to destroy Kopaka for Vezon, plus Kopaka is no longer in that form anyways...
  20. Ah, I didn't know that... I see it in BS01, but in what story does it say that? Brothers in Arms? I CTRL+F but I cannot see the word rebuild used anywhere...
  21. Not really. Vezon and Fenrakk is pretty expensive on eBay, and I only needed the feet, head, mask, and a couple armor pieces in different colors to have something that looks like Vezon. The parts from bricklink I ordered came up to $8.00 inclusive of shipping and handling. Meaning $5 for parts, BUT out of that, I bought a Kraata for $1.25, a yellow Hau for $0.99, a glow in the dark rhotuka for about $0.69 and some other parts for my Turaga MOC thing. Meaning only over a dollar was spent for what I needed.
  22. To rebalance my Villain:Hero ratio, I cut the hero number by one since I used Kopaka's pieces for Vezon, and developed a head canon that my Vezon is in an alternate Vezon and absorbed an alternate Kopaka, which explains why his pieces are so similar (until my pieces arrive).
