  1. That's the Horsehead Nebula in the constellation of Orion. Quite beautiful, but hard to see visually - it invariably looks better in photographs.TPBM also has an astronomy-related sig.
  2. I can't link to them obviously, but there are some other guys on another LEGO forum that are working on modding LEGO Racers 1. I was thinking, why not go ahead and and create a new game engine for the data files? There would be a lot of advantages: Not only would you obviously be able to modify existing content, you'd be able to add new content. A Naho Bay Run track? Sure. A new BIONICLE-themed piece set for drivers? Easy.Content would be modifiable, but logic would be modifiable as well. You want better AI? Go for it. Different racing physics? Definitely possible. You wouldn't need your disc to play the game (assuming you have the 2001 release, the 1999 release of LR1 had no DRM).Entirely new features could be added. You want to play it on Linux or OSX? Sure. How about online play? Also possible.Eventually, you might not even need the original game data to play - it would be entirely feasible to replace all the original data once the data file formats are reverse-engineered.Admittedly, this is a large programming project, and it definitely would push me to my coding limits if I did it alone. So, anyone willing to help?
  3. Sure do. :)TPBM doesn't want all this talk about astronomy and telescopes to stop.
  4. Never have, definitely not tomorrow.TPBM has visited other countries before, though.
  5. I've seen several people say this, but I've found no hard evidence supporting this view either, unfortunately.
  6. 2. Probably not. We're aiming for simplicity to get that jump-in-and-play feeling; we don't want to overwhelm players with options before they start.I think character customization would be a good thing. We already have some customization planned (elements, weapons, masks, right?), so why not colors and piece styles and whatever else? Just have sensible defaults.Wait, when did we decide on customizable weapons and mask powers?
  7. In fact, I do, since I happen to own one. A 10-inch Dobsonian, to be exact. :)TPBM also owns a Newtonian reflector.
  8. Play 3rd Strike. It's a good game. :)In all honesty, I think Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike is probably the greatest fighting game of all time - 13 years old and still being played today. The parry system just makes it so much fun to play. Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo is even older, but it's a "broken" game IMHO in the sense that probably the entire metagame today consists of bugs/glitches (abuse of T. Hawk's lack of a throw whiff animation, unblockable Ochio command grab setups with E. Honda, unblockable mid-air Senpuu Kyaku with Ryu, etc...) that weren't originally supposed to be a part of the game.Outside of the Street Fighter series, the only fighting games I've played are Marvel vs. Capcom 1 and 2. Both are really fast-paced, hype (albeit broken in the same sense as SSF2T) games that I'd recommend to anyone who likes combo-heavy fighting games.Forgot to ask this: Did any of you guys watch Evo in person or via livestream this year?
  9. Nope.TPBM has played at least one 2D fighter in their lifetime.
  10. 3/5. I see you in COT every now and then.
  11. 3/5 Hey I just met you, and this is crazy...
  12. I'm... working on that. Slowly. :)TPBM lives in a rural area.
  13. Real Life does have a way of dragging you away kicking and screaming, doesn't it? Great to hear you're still interested too, by the way. I think a placeholder model would be better indication of progress than a simple geometric primitive, but I agree - we're still in need of a 3D artist. It would be great if you could make the placeholder Toa though.
  14. Nope.TPBM has played LEGO Stunt Rally. (Man, those were the days... )
  15. Not a bit. I've gone through exactly the same kind of weather.TPBM has had some bad weather.
  16. Not a BZP blog, but yes. :)TPBM manages at least one website.
  17. 2/5. I seem to vaguely remember you from before the downtime.
