  1. IC: Glass "You too." It was fun while it lasted. Glass made his way to the dorm wing, head still buzzing from his victory, and a little from the concussion. He wondered if there was a prize for winning. He made sure to ask Thurisaz that the next time he saw him. Glass rounded a corner to his hallway and spotted Xara, looking a little uncomfortable talking to another Rahk. "Hey, Xara, and... your new friend?"
  2. IC: Glass - Infirmary "Your... Sister? Ah, I see," Glass realised. It made sense that Rahks related to one another by way of their parent Makuta would be more competitive when it came to their 'siblings' for their parent's attention, moreso than even the standard competitiveness that the Academy's penchant for fostering conflict and rivalry engendered. Glass wondered who his siblings, and Makuta, were. With our luck you two are probably my siblings stuck in my body. That hurts. color=#696969] "Anyway, this here is the infirmary, as I'm sure you've deduced by now. Report yourselves to Palma and she'll help you with any major and minor injuries you may have sustained in the course of your battle."[/color] "Thanks Aerahk! I think we know the way-" "Ah, Exxan, back again so soon, I see. And Glass, haven't seen you in a while." Both Rahks turned to see Palma in uniform, getting her examination tools ready. "There's already been a steady stream of students today, but I suppose being the last pair today I can send some time aside for you two." She looked up from her tools. "You are the last pair, right?" --- Fortunately for the pair their injuries were easily healed with several exceptions. Glass had a definite concussion and it would take a day or so for the effects to wear off. In addition, the strain of using his newfound powers to such an extent for several minutes on end warranted more rest and a mandated rehydration regime. Glass received a note to excuse him for the next day's lessons, but with all the things happening the last thing he wanted was to spend time staring at the walls. Mmmm rest. Really? After all this and you want to rest? I need to rest my head. My head, you mean. Treatment proscribed, Glass hopped off the chair and turned to Exxan. "You'll be fine, right? I need to take care of, err, personal... stuff."
  3. IC: Hassan "What if it wasn't pointing at me?"
  4. IC: Sylus tapped on Lunefeld's right shoulder. "Well, Luney, mate, I was certainly planning on it," he said. "And seeing as old Hak-sir told me that you'd be acting in a bodyguard function for me...." -Void IC: Lunefeld What!? The day was getting more bent by the minute. "Do not presume too much. My role is to keep you safe, as you so clearly are incapable of doing. Do not mistake me for a lackey." Lunefeld regretted, not for the first time in the past few months, not sending his lackeys to do his dirty work. IC: Greisk Greisk nodded and complied, staying a good dozen steps behind Agrona. As he watched her purr softly at the thought of getting her claws on one of the Maru, he couldn't help but feel anger flare up inside of him. He softly touched the scarred tissue that riveted his cheeks, flanking tracing a line to his forcibly sealed mouth. As a receiver of her... gentle ministrations every day when he needed to eat, he knew that, one way or another, he would not let the Maru suffer the same, or worse.
  5. IC: Glass - Infirmary "Not a fan, I assume," Glass whispered to Exxan, keeping his voice down in case the Rahk that so clearly wanted Exxan to be dead took offense at that.
  6. Excited for the conclusion to this arc, as well as the upcoming one!
  7. IC: Greisk(Toros)/Cyrena It happened so fast. The Maru had looked like he had the upper hand, falling like a flaming meteor towards his adversary. But the Nightfall warrior was victorious, and as he climbed out of the trench, Oreius speared onto the latter's shield, Greisk tasted ash on his mouth. He had been looking forward to seeing one of the Nightfall die. A blizzard came in quickly, too quickly. Eisen spoke then, but Greisk could not hear him over the sound of the snow whipping about. Is he... Dead? Cyrena activated her power, and Greisk's vision changed. He saw through Oreius' body, and while there were plenty of broken bones, severe contusions and heavy bleeding, his heart was still beating. Seems he's fine, for now. For now. They'll kill him! We have to do something! Greisk was about to respond when Eisen stepped over to Agrona, and, by extension, Greisk. "Agrona, if you would stitch this shoulder wound. His corpse will be yours to do with as you will, in a moment. I need the rest of you to check on the hostages." Agrona had replied, but Greisk couldn't hear her over the sound of the wind. Greisk's mind raced. If he could convince Agrona to let him bring the Maru away, this could be his chance to free the Maru, and himself too. No. It's too risky. He'll die! There has to be another way that doesn't involve us failing and dying- Further argument between Toa and Anxilia was cut short as the wind picked up even further. By now, it had become a veritable hurricane, and it was clearly being manipulated. As he watched, the wind slammed through the Legacy onlookers, splitting them down the middle, clearing a very noticeable path from Oreius to the edge of the square- And a green-clad Toa, charging through the crowd towards Eisen. Greisk immediately jumped at Agrona, knocking her out of the way of the charging Toa and the fist of compressed air that he trailed. It smashed into the duellist, knocking him off his feet and sending him rolling across the floor, now slick and frozen after Oreius' powers had melted the snow around the makeshift arena. As the Fa-Toa got up, the green Toa had reached Oreius, who had tumbled out of Eisen's arms. As he watched, the Toa leaped forward and touched the Toa Maru, before they both blinked out of existence. "Do as Eisen says and check the hostages! He wasn't alone!" Unsure if Agrona meant 'Toros' too, Greisk quickly signed, Should I join them? --- IC: Lunefeld - [Rooftop with Sharky and Hakann] Lunefeld wasn't usually given to bouts of amazement, but the duel was surely a thing of beauty. As Oreius struck the ground and Eisen rose out of the cloud of frost with his opponent laying helpless on his shield, he couldn't help but smile. He turned to Sharky, smug but otherwise unsurprised at his prediction. After all, Lunefeld did not triple his fortune in a year by reading underground pit fights wrong. "I'll collect those hundred widgets n-" A strong wind buffeted the perch the trio (and assorted sentient armoured slugs) were on, and Lunefeld had to use his magnetic powers to keep the group firmly in their feet. He expected to wind to let up, but it only became worse. The crime lord was unable to make out Eisen's words from this distance, but putting the bloodthirsty roar of the Legacy troops and the conspicuously stubborn wind together... "We have company." And not a moment too soon. The wind slammed into the crowd, tearing a path through it. Before he knew it, a green clad warrior had sprinted through the pathway to the downed Toa of Fire, and in a blink they were gone. "Hak- sir, it must be the other Maru. Should we assist the Legacy?" Lunefeld inquired, cringing in annoyance at his small but compulsory display of deferrence.
  8. IC: Hassan "Why not? Not that I'm thinking of doing it, it's just that, hypothetically, it would be nice to know if I, or anyone else, for some reason, did that, just as an honest, y'know, mistake."
  9. IC: Hassan "There is. At least, I think that's what it's saying. The stencil font is a little wonky."
  10. IC: Glass "Right." He followed Aerahk.
  11. IC: Glass "Let's go then. Um, where is the sick bay?"
  12. IC: Glass "Alright." He watched her go. "Okay, Tube, help me get to Palma's. I'm not in the best shape... Oh, Exxan, you coming too?"
  13. IC: Glass A little abashed, Glass nodded, the fog of pain and dizziness from the fight that had been clouding his mind replaced by a sharp stab of awareness of the very real danger that surrounded their circumstances. Glass realised Tube was still there. "Uh, Tube, you're still here! I... I guess I wouldn't mind being patched up." Glass turned back to Xara. "Is it okay if you just wait at the Dorm until Palma fixes my... everything?"
  14. IC: Glass Questions began bubbling over in Glass's head, and it took a concerted effort to narrow it down to one at a time. "Uh, so what happened out there? The headmaster didn't send out anybody to hunt you all down? Were you the only one to return? "And... is everything fine?"
  15. IC: Hassan "At least they wouldn't be charging me," Hassan shrugged, before turning back to the weapons. "Should be done removing all the panels for maintenance in a second... there! "So what's next boss?"
  16. IC: Glass "Heh, I'm inclined to agree with y-" "Hey Glass... it's me... I'm back." No ****** way... Slowly, as if it were a dream he didn't want to wake from, he turned around, and there stood Xara, looking almost... anxious. He didn't even realise Tube coming up to the pair to offer medical treatment. "I... Xara, you're... you came back to Corpus," Glass managed to say. His throat was squeezing his words shut, as the walls of anxiety in his heart finally fell apart. She's alive! "You're not dead!" Glass finally blurted out, finally freeing his limbs from the shock and moving towards her. He almost hugged her, soaked armour, burnt components and all, but stopped himself at the last second. He had been so worried that the students who left had already been hunted down and killed, with the staff hiding that fact from the rest to prevent outcry. If she was alive, then everything could go back to normal now... right?
  17. IC: Glass Glass heard the assignment summons too, and he certainly did not feel like getting into battle so soon. Tube approached, offering aid. "Dunno about him, but I do. You coming, Exxan? They'll be handing out assignments by the time we're done. You know the staff and their punctuality."
  18. IC: Glass "Thanks. Err, let's go get patched up," Glass said, his own bones beginning to hurt from the strain of the battle.
  19. And another new spinny

  20. IC: Glass Glass struggled to his feet, feet planted into the bottom of the moat. He saw Tube approaching to tend to the fighters' wounds, but Glass had other things in his mind. We won. We won! Yeah... We did. Glass waded through the water to Exxan, who had righted himself. He held out his hand. "That was a close one. Good match."
  21. IC: Hassan "Ah," he finally looked up, noticing his mistake. Hassan adjusted his helmet to clear his field of vision, turning around to face the right direction. "Clearly I am so confident in your superior satorial taste that I need not have looked upon you before saying that, my lady," Hassan bowed again, this time almost striking his head on the railing.
  22. IC: Hassan "My apologies madam, it was but a truthful compliment," Hassan demured, still facing the wrong direction.
  23. IC: Glass By the time he hit the water, Glass had almost completely blacked out. The cold fury if water flooding into his armour and Kraata shell woke him up fast enough. "Urgh.. pah!" Glass struggled as he pushed himself up to the surface of the moat, disoriented and confused. "What... Is it over?" He asked aloud.
  24. IC: Glass Not fast enough! Exxan, dazed and hurt, still gathered enough mental presence to bend his power to counter the direction of travel. It was only then that Glass realised how worn-out he was. His head hurt and his muscles were cramping as he continued to pour his energy into his electricity and flight. I'm not powerful enough... Glass pulled back his powers, letting the blast of air push them back in reverse. As they approached the opposite end of the arena, Glass took a deep breath and twisted, grappling and rotating the pair to put Exxan nearer to the limit of the arena, before putting his flight powers to use to accelerate again, hoping the twist in direction would confuse Exxan enough for him to not use his powers to slow their flight again. As it were, Glass was beginning to lose his concentration...
  25. IC: Hassan "Oh, how kind of you my dear," Hassan bowed with a flourish in the wrong direction. "That makes two of us, does it not?"
