  1. Name: Sevyn - The Protosteel Chef

    Species: Upper Class Steltian
    Power/Weapon 1: Two almost sword sized protosteel butcher knives, stored in his forearms. He can flip out his hands at any time for one or both of the knives, and they swing back and forth very quickly for sustained, quick chopping abilities in the kitchen and now in the arena. 
    Power/Weapon 2: Entree! This ability gives Sevyn the power to create a number of recipes that can create a variety of effects on the user or an opponent! Each entree takes 1 non-combat post to create (I.E., any post that he's not directly involved in fighting, but he can be hiding or running away). Possible Entrees are as follows: Healing Draught- Stops bleeding, restores some blood, basic healing. Cannot fix broken bones, armor, missing limbs, or death. Stupor Shots- Induces a drunken stupor over any one to ingest it. Can be afflicted in a more minor form if used to coat knives. Flaming Hot Peppers- Will cause a burning sensation in cuts when coated on knives. If ingested... say good bye to your stomach. 
    Power/Weapon 3: All You Can Eat, Guaranteed! This somewhat interdimensional chef's apron has the ability to pull any serving platter, plate, or bowl imaginable from its pockets, along with all the ingredients and dishes needed to create the most succulent foods on Stelt! Can be used for distractions, nourishment (though it's not going to instantly heal you), projectiles, flimsy defenses, and most anything else one would come up with in terms of food and plates!
    Appearance: Sevyn stands impressively tall, tall even for one of his species, at a full two heads higher than the average Skakdi or Toa and can even peer above the head of a Vortixx. He is colored a deep maroon mainly, with some underlying black and a few silver highlights. Unlike Sidorak, he has no tubes around his head, just a great wide grin and a prim, perfectly white Chef's Hat perched on his head, raising his height even more. Covering a majority of his front is a large, long apron, that was once white but now has a multitude of stains crisscrossing it. The words '_______ The Chef' are still visible on the thing, which for all the stains doesn't show too much wear otherwise. His knives are kept pristine and sharp, with his arm acting much like a sheath when they're away. His deep blue eyes peer out from an overall friendly face, if a Steltian face could be called friendly. Well, at least he's better looking than the average Skakdi, or Mata-Nui forbid, a lower-class.
    Bio: Sevyn's life has not been easy. He was born into the lower-upper class, a duo of spice-selling Steltians that were quite happy at their level. Sevyn had always aspired to be greater, and it was that and his passion for cooking that led him into the Cooking Circuits. It was a brutal time, often cooking to literally save your right to continue using a kitchen in the intensity of the Cook-Offs. Much like the Steltian gladiator battles of other universes, the Cook-Offs were brutal affairs with anywhere from 2 to 24 chefs facing off in a battle of the best meal. Sevyn was almost totally ousted from the Circuit after a brutal loss to who would become the 3rd greatest Protosteel Chef, Roddi Quay. However, he persevered and worked his way up the ranks until finally meeting his opponent once again in a battle for the title of Protosteel Chef. It was an intense, 7-course marathon of cooking, with randomly added ingredients ranging from Ruki fish in the appetizer to Morzubakah vine in the dessert. Finally, after all that, with the two tied at the dessert mark, Sevyn overcame with what would become his signature dish, 'Frosted Sweet Ice in Crispy Morzubakah Cone.' Thus he became the 2nd Greatest Protosteel Chef to walk the sweet-smelling shores of Stelt. 
    And then, just as he was about to host a smaller battle between two up-and-coming chefs, he was whisked away to the Bionifight tournament, without a fluffy egg in sight. 
    Personality/Other: Male, tall, strong, and handsome. His personality is alarmingly close to the Host's in some ways, with a booming, deep voice that seems eternally jolly and an easy grin, with a knack for describing what's going on and introducing things and people in dramatic ways. Sevyn will never back down from a challenge, whether it's directly against him or simply a challenge of his skills.
     
    Name: Astaer, 'The Living Ghost"

    Species: Korumine (Lariska's Species)

    Power/Weapon 1: A constantly active Great Mask of Intangibility. This has earned Astaer her title, and allows her to be relatively impossible to hit with any attack. However, she can switch it off, but it requires intense concentration and a period of 2-3 seconds of transformation time. An exception to this is when living flesh passes through her, such as a punch or kick, which forces her into a solid form as soon as the flesh exits. (Caused by 'flesh memory', when her body feels how it should be it naturally reverts)

    Power/Weapon 2: A protosteel trident, designed by the Nynrah Ghosts to be the absolute best fishing trident ever to exist anywhere (Adjectives may or may not come from the psychotic fangirl Nynrah Ghost of this universe). Once stabbed into something, it will not let go unless ripped out, extremely painfully, barbs and all. The barbs are retractable via a small button near the leather-wrapped guard. 

    Power/Weapon 3: Astaer is extremely nimble and quick, able to easily and casually do hand-stands and backflips without a second thought. Swimming comes naturally to her from her fishing background, and climbing does as well from scaling the sides of Odina most every day of her life. Her strength and speed are comparable to that of a Skakdi and Vortixx, respectively, making her more than a match physically for most Toa.

    Appearance: Astaer stands a bit taller than a Toa, just a bit smaller than a Vortixx. Her ocean-colored armor coats her deep green body, streamlining it and seeming to absorb light rather than reflect it, which is only amplified when she's intangible. Her mask is shaped like a Tryna, with larger, more expressive eyeholes than normal, exposing bright, ice blue eyes. High cheekbones and a thin chin add to her ghostly, thin face, rounding out the deep blue mask. Long fingers, and an overall long, toned body emphasize her athletic abilities. 

    Bio: In the time before time, there was an unassuming isle of rock and cliff with but a single beach, and on that isle lived the Korumine. 

    They were perhaps a prototype Toa, for they could use masks but had no elemental abilities, but for whatever reason they lived and died happily on their isle of rock, content to live simple lives without conflict or strife. The strongest and most skilled of their number were the fisherwomen, who swam in the deep seas that surrounded the isle and caught fish with simple tridents. 

    And there were two sisters that were both fisherwomen, and they were perhaps the best among the fishers. But one happened to be better than the other sister, and more humble, while the lesser skilled of the two in fishing was ambitious and wanted to find a greater world outsider her home, climb the greatest mountains of the world and become better. And so that sister was shunned by all except her sibling, who was one of the few to talk to her. 

    Eventually, the elders decided to send out a single Korumine to experience the world and find better ways of doing things, and the first sister was chosen. Taking a name in the common tongue, Astaer left her sister to venture the world, coming across both her mask and her trident in her travels. 

    But when she returned, not all was well. The villages were empty. Her people, gone, homes destroyed with great lines of burnt destruction crisscrossing the land. Astaer's footsteps eventually drew the attention of the only being to remain in the village. Her sister.

    Astaer listening with growing horror as her sister told a tale of two strangers coming ashore one day, looking for a place to put a base that would never be found, never be won by any other, and her sister, tired of her isolation and her state as an outcast, told them she would help secure the island. 

    Astaer listened as her sister told her that her name was now Lariska, Dark Huntress, and her first mission was to kill her sister. 

    She barely escaped with her life, but her boat was destroyed. 

     

    Astaer has now lived for hundreds of years, never again speaking to her sister, though sometimes Lariska speaks to Astaer. She wanders the island as ghost-like as one alive can be, and with a vow that she will never help anyone attack the Dark Hunters nor that she will assist them, the Shadowed One allows her to remain on Odina, a Living Ghost of who she once was. 

    Personality/Other: Astaer is a shy, untrusting female Korumine, who speaks less than she acts and does what she says rather than says what she does. She only speaks to those who she truly trusts, and once that trust is broken it is gone forever. The Korumine is extremely experienced in escape and dodging, due to more than a few incidents of Dark Hunters deciding that they were going to try to murder the sister of Lariska and win a victory over the battle-hardened Dark Hunter. None have ever succeeded.

    "Oh. That's kinda cool, I guess. I've never had a title! Those are cool though. I guess you stay alone most of the time though? Since you don't have a name-name just for you?  I like having a name, gives me something just for me, ya know?"

     

    "..maybe you don't know, since you don't have name."

     

    "..am I talking too much again?"

     

    She shuffles her feet awkwardly, blushing. This was happening a lot in this tournament.

    "Yep!" she replied happily, grinning up at the organic fighter. He looked a little weird, but that was okay! Appearances weren't everything, Nisaduf knew that very well. It was required to use the Illusion, after all, if you only took one's shape then the moment you found someone that knew your shape you were exposed. While she was on the topic, the Illusion began to observe this new being. Perhaps his appearance could come in handy sometime. 

     

    "Too much? Sorry, I do that, it's a bit of a habit, people also tell me I'm excitable and adorable and annoying and a buncha other stuff like that! But that's okay, we can start from the bottom. Names, perhaps. What's yours?"

    She bounces forward, inquisitively questioning this strange fighter.

     

    "Hello then! Who are you? I'm Nisaduf! I've never seen someone like you before, does that mean you've never seen someone like me? Well, before this whole tournament thing of course, but since you're here now you've probably seen other Matoran and Toa and Skakdi and Turaga-well I haven't seen a Turaga yet but maybe you have-and Vortixx and all those people!"

    "Yeah," his muttered reply came as he slumped against the wall, halfheartedly knocking a bandaged fist against the solid wall, apparently expecting to hear the echo of a tunnel just beyond. 

     

    It didn't come, evidently enough, and Zakaro seemed happy enough to slip back into napping as the rest of the group had seemed to start adopting his glazed gaze. 

     

    "..I dunno. Just something about it that clicked, I guess. Maybe it's just cause I've never had much of a reason to be passionate about things. Maybe I'm repeating myself. I don't even know anymore, I'm looking for a nonexistent adventure for a sparkly gem with strange powers that will be determined only as we go while participating in an interdimensional tournament for the upteenth time."

     

    "...almost sounds like a dream, but I know my imagination's not good enough to create all this."

     

     

    IC: Nisaduf (Training Sector)

     

    As The Wyrm entered the Sector, he would find it strangely empty, other than a lone, petite Matoran of Iron attacking a nondescript dummy. Twin knives flashed through the air as she flowed through a combination of slices, before stopping and stepping back, visibly breathing. 

     

    It wasn't until a few moments later that she suddenly glanced over at The Wyrm, cocking her head and meeting his gaze. 

     

    "Hello?"

    "Concrete? No, I don't think this wall is concrete," Zakaro replied, having progressed from examining the wall to resting the side of his face against it, cheek squashed up against the cool surface as his half-lidded eyes looked around sleepily. 

     

    "Though I like questing. I think. Never really been on one. Much too busy doing nothing, or fighting. Life was simple. Then you showed up and absolutely everything changed. Well, not you in specific, but all of you. Mainly Olari though. Somethin' about that time in the food court with that big ol' bohrok thing, yea. Really got to me."

     

    "..I feel drunk. But I'm just tired. I think."

     

     

    IC: Nisaduf (Training Sector)

     

    The Sector was empty, the dull lighting of the area casting shadows on unused mats and pads and punching bags. 

     

    This was good, Nisaduf decided. She needed more training, though sadly she couldn't really use the Illusion to full potential. Too risky of being seen. 

     

    She summoned up the swarm and formed dual daggers, the blades shining dully in the electric lighting. No need to make them sharp, this was just training. 

     

    Carefully, she approached a dummy and began to try out a few attacks. It didn't take long to get into the groove, hopping backwards to avoid a nonexistent attack, rolling up to kick at the thighs with a shout, springing to her feet on the other side and turning to stab into the back of the dummy. She continued to allow herself to just flow from move to move, although her logical side told her that this wasn't really all that effective for training. More a workout than anything else. 

     

    That was alright, though. It would be better to workout than just stand around waiting for someone to return from the arena.. right? 

     

    It would be okay if she missed them for a while. 

     

    Everything would be okay. 

     

    Fighting with her inner urge to just sprint away to make sure none of her heroes had arrived, Nisaduf continued, the little Matoran making the only sounds to echo through the chambers.

     

     

    IC: Bajets (Comfort Sector)

     

    Bajets would be honest, she wasn't entirely sure where she was going. She could tell that she had a destination, what exactly that destination was she wasn't entirely sure of. Call it the Von Zakaz intuition, if you really wanted a name to put to her feeling. 

     

    The golden-spined Skakdi felt a touch along one of her spines, and she spun around in shock and anger. One did not simply touch a Skakdi's spines, unless invited! That was like taking a Toa's mask to examine, or a Steltian's knives! 

     

    There was no-one there, just a package. A package with a simple label on it: TO: Lady Bajets Von Zakaz, VII

     

    She recognized that handwriting. Bajets would recognize that handwriting anywhere. Her mum. 

     

    Taking the package to a chair, Bajets carefully opened it. Inside were only a few items: her brother's Duelling Blades, a letter, and her Gunbrella. 

     

    "Thank Mata-Nui," she breathed, carefully pulling out her prized weapon from the box. This, this was exactly what she needed. No some silly Lightning Binders that worked better for the police than for her, no. This was a weapon suited for a Lady of her status. Placing it by the chair for now, she noticed that the Binders were gone. Odd. No matter, she wouldn't have used the stupid things anyway.

     

    ...that was a lie. Nevermind that. 

     

    Next she selected the letter, quickly grabbing one of her brother's blades to cut open the seal without harming the envelope or the seal itself, perfect for resealing later. 

     

    It was just a single sheet of parchment, folded in thirds. Bajets carefully unfolded and read the letter.

     

    'My Dearest Daughter,

     

    It appears that you have left your best parasol at home, once again. Tsk tsk! I expected better of you, a Lady is always prepared. You are lucky I am so kind to send it to you, far away as you are. 

     

    Do give your brother his Dueling Blades, and a knock on the head. It has been quite a while since he has been home to see his mother, and as I cannot leave the house it is up to you, my dear, to make sure that discipline in that respect is delivered. It is simply too bad for him if he will have to wait to fight the Mountain another day. Besides, he probably has his fill of opponents where you are. 

     

    Stay strong, and don't let yourself fall into anyone's traps. All the same, enjoy yourself! This is an amazing learning experience, after all, and a chance to meet people who you could never see at home. 

     

    I look forward to your story when you return. And your brother's too. Don't make me go find him for his story, either. You can tell him that.

  8. IC: Zakaro (With Elittra, Lekona, and Olari)

     

    "Nope!" Zakaro replies, looking up from his current position staring at the wall to meet the other Toa's gaze. He grinned at her, though it was almost as if he wasn't looking at Olari, but past her into a nonexistent distance. 

     

    "We've just been a-walking along this wall," he pats the smooth surface beside him, "fooorr a long time. Or a short time. Everything's kinda hazy right now. Hazy and sparkly. Yes, that's a good word for it!"

     

    The purple-masked Toa pauses and turns back to the wall, before speaking again in a voice that's strangely low and smooth, almost soothing to the ear.

     

    "Our band of heroes have emerged from the haze of an unending expanse of hallway, to be once more reunited with their pretty companion whom had set out to prove herself in the arena. With a majority of the group all together, they can now continue on their Quest to find a tunnel into the depths of the world and retrieve a shining gem of mysterious power!"

     

    For being as tired as he was, Zakaro was a surprisingly good storyteller.

     

     

    IC: Bajets (Personal Quarters, Comfort Sector)

     

    The world faded into view around the Lady of Zakaz, and she rose stretching with a yawn. It was almost like waking from a sleep, she decided, returning to the world outside the arena. 

     

    Pausing, she looked down at her current arsenal. This would not do, she decided. An upgrade was in order..

     

    Lady Bajets von Zakaz VII trotted out of her room with one goal in her mind, and she would not be denied it.

  9. IC: Bajets (Dying with Zephyr)

     

    To Bajets' credit, she didn't bat an eye at the stream of profanity that spewed from Zephyr. She was a Skakdi, and not only that but a female Skakdi that had easily beaten up much larger, easily angered male Skakdi. It dulls the senses after a while. 

     

    All she said, not that he would've heard it, was a simple "I blame you for the pain I'm about to feel," and with that she slipped off. 

     

    It helped that she ended up looking at the smoky ceiling rather than down at the incoming protodermis, Bajets decided. Oh well. At least Zephyr was a screamer. Those were always enjoyable to listen to. 

     

    With another hiss and bubble, Bajets boiled away into froth, smoke, and flame, the molten protodermis erasing her body as effectively as it did Zephyr's. 

     

     

    IC: Zakaro (Lower Hallways, with Elittra and Lekona)

  10. IC: Bajets (Waiting for the end with Zephyr)

     

    "Impressive," she said, voice dull and nearly sarcastic. At this point, her powers had totally worn off but the vines were still affecting her, the paralyzing thorns digging into her flesh as she slowly slid downwards. It did have the side effect of making her left arm go limp, so instead of having her fist planted beside Zephyr's head it was a relaxed drape over his shoulder. 

     

    "...for a Toa."

     

    Bajets let the unspoken insult hang in the air as her foot slid off the edge of the torn catwalk. Only a few more seconds, now. And then the molten protodermis would engulf her, searing the flesh off her bones in an instant. She wondered randomly if her death would count for a point for this Toa, and his death would count for a point for her. 

     

    Not that it mattered, in the end, if everyone was dead.

     

     

    IC: Nisaduf (Medbay)

     

    She gasped awake, mind filled the the image of Okavuang's massive foot coming down to crush her, and then blackness. She could only assume that she had bled out, or perhaps simply just died on the spot. 

     

    That was... weird. And not entirely comfortable. Still, she wasn't dead, so that was a plus! Right?

     

    ..right. 

     

    Shivering a bit, Nisaduf slid off the bed and wandered out. It would be best not to dwell on this. 

     

     

    IC: Zakaro (Lower Hallways, with Elittra and Lekona)

     

    The sleep-deprived Toa had happily marched straight on down to the lower level and had been slowly sliding across the wall, muttering to himself and looking for a tunnel that was probably going to be more evident than anything he was looking for. 

     

    Whether Elittra and Lekona were still with him, he wasn't entirely sure. Zakaro wondered blankly how Olari was doing. Hopefully better than last time. But that was not his goal at this time, his current goal was to find a Gem Quest Tunnel!

     

    "Despite the drought of venues for exploration, our intrepid explorers are continuing on, looking with hope in their hearts and pep in their step. It was a test of stamina and skill beyond any other, and yet this was only a precursor to the true quest that would come when they found their first goal..."

    Appearance: The Lady Bajets von Zakaz VII is a striking figure beyond her years, with a coal-black, custom-designed three part suit above a nondescript white blouse covering her gold, black, and brass body. Her sleeves, while not totally gone, have holes around the elbows with general rips spreading, with a matching problem around the knees. A magenta tie is around her neck, draping over her blouse, and along with a monocle that is nothing but wire completes her ensemble. Her golden spine's spikes are basically shaped like a Y, with a main section splitting halfway up and separating at a 45 degree angle, and her Skakdi grin is more of a sly, sultry smile, with matching pools of silver for eyes. She stands just a tiny bit shorter than Halken, to her eternal annoyance, with her eyes matching up to his chin. 

    Bio: The Lady Bajets von Zakaz VII hails from the very same universe, the very same island, and the very same family as Lord Halken von Zakaz III, though she is the seventh Bajets as it has become tradition to name the firstborn female as such in the von Zakaz. While her dear brother was off adventuring and fighting almost every Rahi with fists (and several without), she was slipping through Zakaz's underworld, getting a network of interests set up to secure the von Zakaz' future, as was the job of every female in the family. All the same, he is her brother, and that of course means that she has an uncanny ability to find, annoy, and beat Halken every and any time, no matter the contest. Especially in Poker. Her Laser Poker Vision, though currently disabled in the arena, helps with that.

    Personality/Other: Bajets is female, through and though, and knows this very well. She's not above using every dirty trick in the book and some not to take down an opponent, although once she gets the Lightning Binders on it's usually the end. Although they were made with burly Skakdi in mind, it can be tough to apply them when your opponent really doesn't want you doing so. She favors knees, elbows, and headbutts, and makes use of it in tandem with her MetallicHideTM to create a wicked fighting style that hasn't failed her yet. only failed her once. Curse those Bo-Toa

    "I'm not even going to do you the honor of replying."

     

    The Skakdi honestly hoped this would fall soon. Each second spent in this Bo-Toa's presence just made her hate him more, if there was one thing that set her off it was stuck-up bigots that thought every other single thing from Karzahni to the Southern Islands was inferior. 

     

    The catwalk creaked again and shuddered. Well, this was one way to insult him.

     

    "Good work, flowerbreeze. You can't even kill us both without everything going to Karz!"

     

     

    IC: Nisaduf (Catwalk)

     

    She tried. She really did. 

     

    Even as she was lifted upwards, she tried to scramble out from under the dragon's foot, but it was too late. It came down again, all of the hollow armor on her torso and back breaking at once as she was pressed into the remains of the catwalk, shards of metal cutting through her back as her mask shattered. Nisaduf couldn't even let out a scream as the tattered pipes and sheets tore through her already damaged body. 

     

    Unconscious, the little Matoran's body hung there for another half a minute, bleeding out, as the Illusion of the Ko-Toa flickered rapidly and then went out, with a lack of input from its owner. It left her exposed, open, and surrounded by the broken catwalk.

     

    She didn't see the Dragon fall, she didn't see anything at all. 

     

    And it was only a few seconds after Okavaung disappeared into the molten lake that Nisaduf's own lifeless body faded out of existance.

  13. IC: Bajets (Waiting for the End with Zephyr)

     

    "I'll have you know I'm a Lady of Zakaz's highest courts, windbag," she snapped back at the Bo-Toa, the insult seeming to fit his name and his holier-than-thou attitude. 

     

    Any continuation was cut off by a mighty creak as the catwalk began to slowly tilt. It seemed that the vines had taken their toll and were beginning to bring it down. 

     

    Of all the ways to die, it was paralyzed with vines crisscrossing her body, thorns reddened with her blood. 

     

    She sincerely hoped Halken would never see this. He wouldn't let her live down being beat by a tree-hugger.

     

     

    IC: Nisaduf (Fighting Okavuang, with Ten, Alisa, and Tirkah)

     

    She had gained purchase. She hadn't died. Nisaduf could have sighed in relief if it hadn't been instantly followed by the sensation of moving forwards, then rushing down. At the initial impact, she was dislodged from the side of the dragon's leg. A hook flew out of her left hand and fell away, dissolving itself into the nanobots that made it up.

     

    Bouncing hard on the metallic surface once, crying out in pain, she had no time to react as the catwalk started to crumple under the dragon's force, trapping the arm without a hook as well as the 'legs' of her Ko-Toa illusion between the rough metal of the catwalk and Okavaung's leg, breaking her arm easily. She cried out in pain, the Illusion quickly updating to show the Ko-Toa sharing her injury as well as a duo of broken legs. Perhaps if anyone had been looking closely enough, they would have seen the legs of the Ko-Toa taking a second to show their wounds, but that was doubtful. 

     

    Grimacing, tears welling up in her eyes and starting to roll down her cheeks at the pain, Nisaduf let out a loud cry of anguish and anger and stabbed forward, the hook transforming into a large 'icicle', trying to jab into his leg and give the Matoran/'Ko-Toa' a few seconds to just get away.

  14. IC: Zakaro (Training Sector) 

     

    Zakaro stood there for a couple seconds just processing things, before shrugging, giving up, and turning to march out the door. 

     

    As he left, he called over his shoulder to Lekona and Elittra, "Well! Everyone's gone so we should be gone to be finding a questing of the Gems, yes, indeed! GemQuest, with your hosts Zakaro, Lekona, and Elittra! Today we begin our quest in the Training Sector, but are going to rapidly proceed to the sighting area..."

     

    His voice faded away from the Sector as he walked out, rambling to himself. 

     

    That was totally normal. 

     

    Well, for Zak.

     

     

    IC: Bajets (Fighting Zephyr)

     

    As she lay there, pretty much totally paralyzed as the protosteel coating of her arm slowly drained away, leaving it's typical gold color in its place, Bajets laughed through her teeth. 

     

    "Good work, Planty. Now we're both going to Karz."

     

    She felt oddly empowered, motionless as she was, as the vines lashed across her body and the catwalk, the metal creaking in protest as it twisted and buckled, the walk starting to shake and swing. 

     

    Of all the ways to die, it was because of a plant and a Bo-Toa flipping out. 

     

    Yeah, she was never going back to Mata Nui.

  15. IC: Bajets (Fighting Zephyr)

     

    Everything was slowing down. Her left side felt like steel- well, it was. Her right tingled and faded with sensation, the venom from the thorns racing her bloodstream. This fight was not going as planned, Bajets decided. Perhaps it would be better to consider a different tactic next time, this was evidently not enough. 

     

    With a sigh, Bajets lunged upwards best she could, which ended up being more of a little hop, and then toppled forward onto Zephyr, protosteel fist first. Mata-Nui, this was awkward. Not how she liked to fight at all. This wasn't fluid fighting, slipping back and forth between punches and counters to jab at your opponent, this had been an awkward head-on lunge at fighting someone who seemed to find it disgusting to simply touch her. 

     

    Oh, yes. On that note, Bajets spat out the weed she had bitten at Zephyr, hoping to land it on his face. That would be an interesting reaction.

     

     

    IC: Nisaduf (Fighting Okavaung and Ten)

     

    Nisaduf wasn't all that sure what was happening anymore, it was all passing so quickly and she was spending most of her energy just focusing on not totally getting over taken by this mental assault. With little other ideas, she went for broke. 

     

    The majority of the Illusion came together at her command, forming into two large hooks that would appear as ice ones to all others. Bracing herself, she leapt forward at the Dragon, swinging rapidly and trying to dig into the scales somewhere. 

     

    At the same time, the lone 'icicle' in Okavaung's back suddenly widened, hollowing itself to spread out and try to cause more damage, little hooks appearing in the surface to grip into his scales more. With any luck, the shock would allow Nisaduf enough time to gain a grip on the dragon before he could simply fly out of the way. 

     

    To Ten and Okavaung, it would basically appear the same way, although currently the Ko-Toa Illusion mainly spread downwards, the head and arms roughly lining up with Nisaduf's actual body. 

  16. IC: Bajets (Fighting Zephyr)

     

    It was about this point that Bajets decided that she would never go to Mata Nui again. Her left arm was practically just a tube of metal wrapped up by the Bo-Toa's vines, and now more were sprouting all over her. Not to mention whatever the heck was growing out of her shoulder. Bajets could literally hear that one growing. 

     

    Deciding that whatever it was Zephyr was spending so much time on must be important, Bajets mentally declared that a priority. Not to mention the vines that while she could probably break free from the newest ones, it would be at the cost of getting stabbed by the thorns. Not exactly a great trade-off. 

     

    Going for broke, Bajets decided to attempt something she had never thought would happen, but was probably the best choice. With a sigh, she pushed against the newest vines, earning her multiple pinpricks of pain across the according areas. Gritting her teeth, she went for another blow at his gut. 

     

    Even before it connected, if it did, Bajets turned her head best she could and attempted to bite down on the plant on her shoulder. 

     

    She wasn't a fan of salad, and somehow she felt this would end much the same way. 

     

     

    IC: Nisaduf (Fighting Okavaung and Ten)

     

    Nisaduf decided that perhaps fighting like this wasn't as fun as it was watching them fight. 

     

    As the catwalk creaked beneath her, she ran backwards for a few steps before falling to the ground with another lurch. As the catwalk rapidly went from horizontal to vertical, she hastily grabbed onto the floor and steadied herself on the railing, her light weight and short stature doing wonders for that. 

     

    And then the sensation of someone trying to force their way into her thoughts overwhelmed her, forcing a gasp from her lips. Thankfully the Illusion was still active, currently portraying the Ko-Toa having stabbed through the bottom of the catwalk with an icicle to gain foot and hand holds, though the expression was the same.

     

    She could tell it was a losing battle even before it started.  With few other options, Nisaduf tried to at least stem the flow. Let some of it in, but not the full force. 

     

    The affect was immediate. It was like a wind from Mt. Ihu washed over her body, drawing out another gasp, before the Great Furnace came rushing back more powerful than ever. Swallowing as the sensations continued, she focused as hard as she could on just stemming the flow, the tide of mental energy, keeping it from totally overtaking her senses. 

     

    With a shaking hand, Nisaduf launched another volley of 'icicles' at the dragon, the ones that had missed already having dissolved into nanobots before falling into the protodermis below.

  17. IC: Bajets (Great Furnace, Fighting Zephyr)

     

    This was uncomfortable, Bajets decided, even as her Laser Poker Vision sputtered to life somehow, with only one eye. No,  she didn't understand that either, but it was either this venom, this toxin, or the Toa's mask so either way she wasn't all that happy about it. To add to her problems, her entire left arm had gone completely immobile, totally protosteel, with the effect creeping up to her shoulder to metalize that too. If she stayed in contact too long, this could end with that statue she had planned to erect after her death of herself appear far sooner than she preferred. Karz, she would become her own statue. That was a sobering thought. 

     

    Ignoring the flailing eye beam that was currently going all over the place- HA, let the Toa freak out about not getting hit with that for a while- she successfully extracted her right arm, which dropped downwards to her waist. Quickly, she retrieved her Lightning Binders and swung them across at Zephyr's gut, before trying to wrap her leg around his while she clicked one side of the binders open. Hoping that he was still recovering from the blow, if it had it, Bajets tried to hook Madam Nikila's Fantasmagorical Lightning Binders onto Zephyr's left leg. 

     

    She was so close. If she could pull this off before her own powers immobilized her, Bajets might be able to come out on top.

     

    Well, not literally.He'd probably fall on her after the shock was delivered. 

     

     

    IC: Nisaduf (Fighting Okavaung and Ten)

     

    She rolled to the side again, manipulating the Illusion to produce a small shield that deflected most of the remaining frost breath to the other side. Lining up with her Illusion produced body, she taunted the dragon, trying not to betray her fear that he could see through her Illusion. 

     

    "Your aim's worse than I thought!"

     

    Meanwhile, the dagger fell out of view and quickly dissolved into the separate nanobots that it was made of, which flew back to rejoin the main group. 

     

    The 'Ko-Toa' made an icicle and fired off a quick sequence of three at the attacking Dragon, aimed for each wing and then with a pause for the last one, ahead of where he appeared to be dodging. While the Illusion couldn't replicate the cold ice physically, there were still 3 quite sharp metal spikes heading for the Dragon.

  18. IC: Bajets (Fighting Zephyr)

     

    Well. This was not going as planned. 

     

    "You realize that's not exactly the type of drink I'd like, right?" She muttered sarcastically, rearing back even as she activated her powers again, her trapped arm hardening to better ward off the thorny spikes starting to develop. With enough luck, that would hold long enough. 

     

    Taking advantage of their close quarters, Bajets tried to hook a leg around Zephyr's and yanked back, trying to pull him off balance, while she simultaneously wrenched her right arm a bit more free. 

     

    All she needed was one hand. One hand and a few seconds. Suddenly smirking, Lady Bajets von Zakaz VII spat at Zephyr's face.

  20. IC: Bajets (Fighting Zephyr)

     

    Her first reaction was simply to bat the incoming seeds out of her face, the majority bouncing off her hands and forearm to plink against the metallic catwalk and fall, fall all the way down into the lava. A few probably stuck into the catwalk, and perhaps 3 or 4 seeds did catch in a clink of her armor or a fold of her clothes. Overall it was minimally effective.

     

    The whip was a different story. Bajets instantly went for a direct approach, her left hand shooting out and attempting to grab onto the whiplike vine as the tip curled around her bicep, nicking her chin on the way down. Without pausing, and hoping she had a good enough grip on the thing, she yanked it backwards as her right hand instantly hardened into metal, traveling forwards to likely meet Zephyr's backwards-traveling body.

  21. IC: Nisaduf (Fighting Okavuang and Ten)

     

    Nisaduf took advantage of her small stature and dove away from the tail, landing and rolling over to a side, further away from the conflict. However, her Ko-Toa avatar leapt backwards instead, shooting 'ice' behind her to land on the platform for a few seconds. Even as it quickly melted away, the Illusion took out a throwing knife-and this one was real, relatively speaking, being made up of the nanobots that formed the Illusion of Greatness- and flung it at the dragon's wings. 

     

    Whether or not Ten was still cloaked didn't particularly matter, Nisaduf wasn't looking in that direction anyway. Her true body was cloaked by the illusion, while the Ko-Toa that was her jumped back onto the catwalk after throwing the knife, her platform quickly 'melting' away into nonexistence. Not that it had ever truly existed.

     

     

    IC: Bajets (Fighting Zephyr)

     

    "What, afraid of the pretty little Skakdi? You poor thing," Bajets cooed, breaking out into a full on sprint at Zephyr and sending another volley of Poker Vision aimed just to the right of his legs. 

     

    Assuming he didn't pull out a plant to slow her down, Bajets would get close enough for close quarters within another few seconds at their current rates. Already, the tips of her knuckles were beginning to harden as her powers rose to the surface. 

  22. IC: Nisaduf (Great Furnace, fighting Ten and Okavaung)

     

    To be honest, Nisa had been far too interested in just absorbing everything that she hadn't noticed Ten. As soon as she heard something's wings flapping, though, she instantly reacted, throwing her back against the wall as the Illusion formed into somewhat of a shield. Her Ko-Toa Illusion did much the same, although the shield was made of the icy element she was meant to represent. 

     

    As the frost breath connected, Nisaduf grinned. Perfect, although it would seem odd for a Toa to do this instead of perhaps absorbing it, this would be a good way to show her 'powers'. Plus, the icy cold of it wasn't all that unwelcome in the Furnace. 

     

    "HAH!" She cried, her voice sounding higher and more crisp as the Illusion changed it to that of a Ko-Toa's, roughly speaking. At the same time, she side-stepped away while the Illusion remained in place for half a second longer, before the nanobots of the shield burst outwards, carrying the accumulated ice crystals with them as if she had broken the shield and sent it flying. The sound of ice cracking accompanied this, as the Illusion performed better than she had imagined in this case. 

     

    With luck, some of the shard would hit the dragon, annoying it at the very least. Unknown to Nisaduf, it might also hit Ten. 

    Then again, Ten might be doing his own thing.
