  1. IC: Jason Ferro- Quark Qruiser

Ferro was unsure what the point of making him discard the bomb was if they were just going to bring it onto the ship themselves. Whatever their reason was, Wolfe's antics distracted him for the moment, allowing Ferro to forget what had happened over the last couple of hours, at least for a few seconds. Nevertheless, he still attempted to suppress his laughter, fearing the the leader's wrath. He gave up after a few moments, allowing himself a quiet chuckle.

    IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Astral

Trusting Var to leave the ship, and Plume to allow her to do so, Gorn set off for the villain storage, having been made aware of a conflict there by Stormer's loud argument with another hero. If Gorn wasn't allowed to destroy that murderous scrapheap from earlier, then he would at least make sure to keep them from seeing the light of day ever again.

OOC: Would Gorn's sword work against Von Nebula?

  2. IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Relieved

"Alright then. Thanks for helping me clear that up."

    Gorn turned back to Var.

"Alright. Zib says that you're free to go, so I suggest taking him up on his offer. We can't have random people running around in here at a time like this."

  3. IC: Jason Ferro- Confused

Ferro gave a subtle nod to indicate that he understood Wolfe's warning. This must be a terrible team to be on, if the leader killed those serving under her just for talking. Ferro was somewhat relieved when he saw a pair of heroes approach the ship. One of whom, at first glance, resembled one of Von Nebula's henchmen. Expecting the newcomers to be treated in a similar manner, Ferro was shocked when the team leader seemed to apologize for being harsh at some point in the past. Maybe the harshness was because Ferro wasn't a team member? Or maybe because he had been carrying a bomb. Yeah, it was probably the latter. Whatever the reason was, Ferro remained silent.

  4. IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Astral

"I need to see which of these two is lying."

Gorn pointed to Var and Plume.

"Both of them are saying they were attacked by the other. Var is an acquaintance of mine, so she would have no reason to attack Plume, and she's not on our list of wanted criminals, so Plume wouldn't have a reason to attack her, either. Plume's helmet-cam footage would show what actually happened. If it's an invasion of privacy, then you can review the footage on your own, and then tell us who the aggressor was."

  5. IC: Jason Ferro- Relieved

Ferro boarded Quark's ship and quietly took a seat, reluctant to say anything else. From his spot, he could see another hero sitting in what had been labeled a "Shame Chair". Ferro briefly considered asking what that was about, but he decided against it. See, this was one of the reasons Ferro was glad he had yet to be assigned a team. If he didn't like a hero he had to work with, chances were that he wouldn't ever see them again. He had only just met this hero, and he was already afraid of her.

  6. IC: Jason Ferro- Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb

Ferro looked at his hands, realizing what he had been carrying. He quickly set the device down on the ground in order to avoid Quark's wrath.

"N-No! Not consciously, at least. I was going to try and plant it on that villain's ship, but some of the other heroes were too close, then... well... You know. Please don't leave me here."

  7. IC: Jason Ferro- Ruins

Quark's yelling brought Ferro out of his state of self pity and back to reality. From the tone of her voice, he doubted she was joking about leaving them behind. Carrying his bomb, Ferro began to approach the dropship, his mind returning to the topic of Hero Factory's future...

OOC: Fishers, I think you missed Gorn's request for Zib to access Plume's helmet-cam.

  8. IC: Jason Ferro- That was anticlimactic...

Ferro had been waiting for a good opportunity to step in, but now it looked like he wouldn't get to use his bomb after all. Even worse, the murderer had escaped! Silently, Jason swore to himself that he wouldn't hesitate to blow the Titan sky high next time they crossed paths. Well, IF they crossed paths. Chances were, a far more capable hero would probably put a stop to Traferous' misdeeds before the month was out...

    IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Astral

Now inside the vessel, presumably with Var and Plume accompanying him, Gorn made his way to the person he knew would be able to help him: Zib.

"Zib, can I see the video that Plume's helmet cam captured over the last few hours?"

  9. IC: Jason Ferro- Taking it slow this time

Jason climbed out of the basement, bomb in tow. He saw that the enemy's ship was engaged in battle with a gunship. Good. Hopefully, the villain wouldn't realize what he was about to do until his ship was in a million pieces...

  10. IC: Saracen Rune - Incoming.

    He was, admittedly, quite astounded.

In record time, this other hero had left the Astral, ventured into the basement, conveniently found a giant bomb, flown up to Traferous' escape ship, blown a hole in the side of said ship, shoved the bomb inside, and skedaddled - all before Saracen himself had even reached Traferous' ship, despite the fact that Saracen had left the Astral first, had headed directly towards Traferous, and was faster in the air.

When all of this was over, he'd have to ask Mr Makuro when he'd figured out how to give his heroes the power of time travel... as it was, he kept at a distance from Traferous' ship, waiting to see what effect the bomb would have before he made his move.

OOC: I get it. I apologize. I just want to get this whole thing over with already. I've edited the previous post.
  11. IC: Jason Ferro- Astral

    "Thank you!"

Ferro ran back out of the Astral, quickly locating a gap in the wreckage that led to the basement. He dropped down into the darkened cavern, and began searching for any explosive devices he could find. He was rewarded with the sight of a large bomb, one that was typically used for destroying exceptionally large pieces of space junk in regions where stuff like that was a problem.

    "This'll probably do the trick."

  12. GM NPC ZIB

"Vex would have some, but he's still on his way back from the Mechanos incident. Anyone have any bombs or know of someone who does?"

    GM NPC MR. MAKURO

"There should be at least one in the ships in the basement, if Traferous didn't blow them up when his own engines exploded."

    GM IC TRAFEROUS

Traferous was fixing his control panel and front windshield when one of his engines sputtered out again, throwing the craft into another spin. Sighing, he reached back to fix that engine, again.

OOC: Just to clarify, you mean the basement of the destroyed Hero Factory, right?

  13. IC: Jason Ferro- A really bad idea

It seemed that the ship's thrusters were too powerful to be bound by Ferro's magnets. Perhaps he should follow everyone else's example, and try to destroy the ship rather than capture it. Running back into the Astral, Jason soon found himself back where Zib and the others were.

"Guys! Sorry for the lack of formality, but are there any bombs on this thing that I can use?"

    IC: Arsenal- Apartment

With the last wire in place, Arsenal's wrist was fully operational once again. Hopefully, this would be the last time he would have to repair himself this extensively for a long time. Then again, with the course of action he was about to take, he probably shouldn't count on it.

Exiting his apartment building, Arsenal flew to the roof of the tallest building he could find in order to get a better view of the area, and hopefully see anything that might be connected to the sky's sudden color change.

  14. IC: Jason Ferro- Ruins

With his magnetic attacks on the villain seemingly ineffective, Ferro attempted to hold the ship itself to the ground, while simultaneously firing at the vessel with both pistols. With luck, he would hit something important.

    IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Ruins

As the trio approached the Astral, Gorn saw that the villain had escaped yet again. There was no way he would be able to chase the killer down at this point, so he continued towards the ship. As he entered, Gorn noticed a hero with a familiar color scheme apparently trying to use magnetism to remedy the situation. He was appalled. The factory had seriously made another magnetic hero, after what had happened last time?! Despite that, this one didn't seem to be insane, so Gorn decided to simply forget he ever saw them and continue with his task.

  15. IC: Arsenal- Apartment

It had been painful. It had been difficult. It had rendered his hand unusable for the time being, but the fact that the chip was finally out made the ordeal worthwhile. Arsenal didn't know if the chip could still be tracked if it wasn't inside of him, but he didn't see any reason why it couldn't be. He proceeded to crush the device in his hand and allowed the shards to fall to the floor. This was no time to take risks.

Arsenal was somewhat annoyed that the heroes had chosen to implant the chip in his wrist, directly underneath a cluster of wires. It was almost like they intended to make the chips impossible to remove without injuring yourself. Still, the damage was far from unfixable. Grumbling to himself, Arsenal began to repair himself, hopefully for the last time today.

IC: Jason Ferro- Right place at the right time

After hearing Katharine's shot, Ferro had swallowed his pride and exited the ship again, fearing that the villain had escaped. His assumption was correct, as he was met with the sight of the Titan running away from his former captors, most of whom were firing at him. Perhaps Ferro would get to do something cool after all. Concentrating, he created a pair of magnetic fields to yank Traferous back to a large piece of wreckage near where the heroes were standing.

  16. GM IC ARSENAL (MECHNA)

Arsenal would be able to dispose of the dead body successfully, but he might notice some flames licking towards the sky from a few blocks away.

OOC: The question wasn't whether he could dispose of the body or not, it was if he could successfully remove the tracking chip the factory implanted.

    IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Ruins

    "Alright then."

Gorn began walking back to the Astral, while still keeping an eye on Var. He may have been giving her a chance to prove her innocence, but that didn't mean he trusted her.

  17. IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Ruins

"She's an organic. The cuffs can't drain her. Besides, what's the worst she could do? The ship is full of heroes. If she tries anything, she'll be turned into paste within ten seconds."

  18. IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Ruins

"The footage thing" will take a whole five seconds. We simply go into The Astral, see who's telling the truth, and deal with whoever's lying."

Gorn turned to Var, who was becoming increasingly nervous.

"You won't be. If the footage shows that you're telling the truth, then you'll be released immediately."

  19. IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Ruins

While Var processed his offer, Gorn was contacted by Zib, notifying him of their intent to leave.

"We'll be there in a second."

    IC: Arsenal- Apartment

Once his weapons were fully functional, Arsenal proceeded to dispose of the would be robber's corpse. Since he couldn't exactly just throw it into his garbage can and call it a day, he was forced to carry the body outside to dispose of it there. See, that was another great thing about Mechna. One could carry a bloody corpse in plain sight, and no one would bat an eye. Upon emerging from his apartment building, Arsenal noticed that the sky had changed color. This was no normal occurrence. The mercenary had visited Mechna dozens of times in the past, and not once had the sky's color differed from it's usual hue. Others on the street were expressing similar levels of bewilderment, indicating that this wasn't simply a case of negligence on his part. Whatever this was, it was likely that the Hero Factory would come to investigate. If they did that, then they would probably go after Arsenal as well, and... The chip! He had completely forgotten about the chip they had implanted upon his capture. He had to get rid of it quickly, or else they would be able to track his every move! Quickly disposing of the corpse in a dumpster, Arsenal hurried back to his apartment. Upon reaching it, he immediately set to work attempting to extract the tracking chip from his arm...

OOC: Whether he succeeds or not depends on Fishers.

  20. IC: Scourge- Grunge district

As they snuck about the alleyways of Mechna, Grunge district, Scourge came to notice that the sky seemed to have changed color. Unfazed, Scourge continued on it's hunt.

    IC: Arsenal- Apartment

Arsenal felt a sense of relief as he entered his apartment to find that it had gone unrobbed during his stay at Hero Factory. Of course, someone had tried. This was Mechna, after all. Thankfully, it seemed that his booby trap had made short work of the intruder, who's corpse was now in the early stages of decomposition. He would clean that up later. For now, his focus was on repairing his arm.

Arsenal had prepared for a situation like this, of course. He was no stranger to dismemberment, with the wound he had received on Tranquis being insignificant compared to others he had received in the past. Arsenal approached a large trunk of parts. It was filled with the components that he tended to lose most often, such as eyes, fingers, and thankfully, a couple of arms. Removing the parts he needed, the Titan got to work.

It was a delicate task, but nothing he hadn't done before. Wires were reconnected, parts were welded back into place, and Arsenal was whole once more. Well, whole by anyone else's definition, that is. The Titan proceeded to his weapon rack, where he selected an arm mounted energy cannon to replace his rocket launcher. In addition, he took the time to reload all of his weapons, including replacing the grenades on his belt with a greater variety of types than had been there before, including smoke, fragmentation, and even some that exposed those caught in the blast to Oxydium. Now, he was truly whole again...

  21. IC: Jason Ferro- Worst day ever

His power fully replenished, Ferro rose to his feet. Now that he could make full use of his powers, the villain outside wouldn't stand a chance. Drawing both pistols, the hero ran back to the entrance as quickly as his legs would allow, expecting to pull off a "big heroes" moment.

Reaching his destination, Ferro ran out into the ruins, assuming an appropriately awesome pose...

"NOT SO FAST, VILLAIN! PREPARE TO..."

...Only to see the seemingly invincible villain, cuffed and detained by the heroes he had left minutes before.

Incredibly embarrassed, Ferro quietly holstered his pistols. He quickly retreated back into the Astral to escape the situation, hoping that no one had heard him. Why did this have to happen EVERY time..?

OOC: So, what's the verdict on Arsenal's arm cannon?

  22. OOC: Okay, fair enough. But I'm not sure what you want out of us here, and it's getting a little frustrating. I think the main issue is, the only way to defeat Traferous is to kill him, and Heroes aren't meant to be killers. I'm getting the feeling you're trying to nudge the situation towards Traferous escaping, I guess for a plot reason, but it's a situation where we really can't let him wander off because, again, they're Heroes. This whole fight has been a little frustrating in that regard- you gave us a fourth mission we could do legitimately nothing about, because we have this unstoppable- before anyone says anything, yes, I know he can be killed, but in this instance all we can do is attempt to arrest him every time he shrugs off things that would stop pretty much any other villain in their tracks- villain running around, breaking out other villains when we capture them, and shrugging off whatever we throw at him.

Yes, he's meant to be OP. But he's about to be placed in a ship with a big group of Heroes with weapons pointed directly at him, and he's apparently legitimately able to kill all of them and get out unscathed. That, I would imagine, is beyond what most people would deem agreeably OP for a GM character, and on top of that no one can do anything about him just shrugging his shoulders, laughing, and undoing everything that took so long to do, and what had to be done in an attempt to get to the next mission in time to deal with the impending threat, just to have the whole cycle begin again.

I don't mean to sound harsh or rude or anything, and I like Traferous as a character. It's just, in a scenario where we cannot do anything about him without immensely breaking character and yet have to keep going so we don't also break character, it's getting really, really frustrating to have this big deal in the background we really, really need to fix up and this villain wandering around kicking over whatever we managed to get done in the meantime with absolutely no consequences, or no way to inflict consequences.

EDIT: Addendum because I think this sounds way, way too harsh. I'm not asking for Traferous to be retconned, or to break character. I'm just feeling like we've formed this endless cycle here, and I'd like to know what we can really do about it without breaking character.

OOC: Too harsh? Rest assured, if anything, it's too kind. Though, after hearing Fishers' clarification, I'm beginning to understand what she intends a bit more.

Anyways, I'd like to request permission to give Arsenal a slight upgrade for the current mission. Specifically, I'd like to replace the rocket launcher he lost on Tranquis with a Megatronesque arm cannon. The destructive power would be roughly the same as one of his rockets, except in the form of an energy beam; which, in addition to eliminating shrapnel, would be able to be maintained for short amounts of time.

  23. IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Ruins

Gorn didn't believe Var's claim, but he still wanted to make sure.

"We'll see. Each hero has a camera built into their helmet. Anything we witness is recorded, with one reason for that being to avoid situations like this. Come with us, and we'll review the footage from Plume's helmet. We'll see who's telling the truth. If you're innocent, you have nothing to fear."

IC: Jason Ferro- Worst day ever

Locating a charging station, Ferro hooked himself up to it, allowing the device to begin replenishing his energy over the course of a few minutes.
