  1. This is the worst thumbnail I have ever made for a video. Better late than never, right? So yeah, this one focuses on all of the creatures and the shadow traps. Enjoy. There's also a link in the video description to a playlist of other Bionicle G2 reviews.
  2. Yes. This guy's power is to make opponents too sluggish and tired to fight back. Oh, I mean... for science!
  3. Behold, the red Venator... Traag. Hi-res version here. http://nickinamerica.deviantart.com/art/Bionicle-Nova-Orbis-Traag-Teaser-597218686 He wears Kanohi Tarda, the mask of sloth. It makes the target too sluggish to properly fight back, and can even cause them to lose consciousness if the battle drags on for long enough. His sword can also spew flames out of the edges of the blade. He's not even the leader, he's just the red one. The... sand red one. And dark red. Yeah, you can imagine how this guy may look as a set. He's also very tall. Even taller than most Toa.
  4. These were written before they had the dummy masks. The logs Voima recovers from the Manibus belong to- Venti Ferrum A Matoran named J'oh A Matoran named Scitis Piras and a mystery person. So far, I've written the first chapter. It's turning out great. I'd say that kind of fits the Venators in general. They're some of the coldest Bionicle villains you'll have ever seen.
  5. I've decided to tell some of the next story through journals that Voima finds while following the Toa Miro, while jotting some of her own notes down. So think of them like the journals you'd pick up in Amnesia- The Dark Descent that Daniel would read to himself. That should be cool.
  6. Actually, this is only one of six new villains, and inflicting pain is just his mask power. People don't have to count this post. I just wanted to clear things up. Sorry.
  7. I think it's time we got up close and personal with one of the Venators. This is Leedvermaak, one of the Venators, the Knights of Caelum. He wields a mace and Kanohi Doloribus, the mask of pain. He's the brown set. Well, not set, but... you know. We can pretend this is legit. That's it for now. I hope he's made an impression.
  8. I have to wonder what the beasts' connection is to the Shadow traps. It looks almost like they originally WERE Shadow Traps and Umarak was somehow able to mutate them into entire creatures.
  9. I'm still trying to figure out why people don't like seeing CCBS and more technicy details mixed together (Umarak's legs). I mean... the difference isn't THAT huge, is it?
  10. Ah, thank you. I thought it must be something like that, I just had no idea where or when. This will help with future developments.
  11. Nah, she was just pointing at him that time... I think it was somewhere around the middle of year one's story.
  12. I'm getting ready to start writing the next story. First, though... I know that somewhere in the earlier stories, I had one instance of a character making a "peace" sign with their fingers and it meant something different. Doesn't anyone remember which scene that was? I don't want to mess up continuity somehow.
  13. The horns are the Mask of Control's "ears" stretched out to a crazy length. That in itself is a VERY cool idea, in my book. It makes it feel like the mask is alive, like it's a parasite using Umarak as a host body to wreak havok, and the heavy use of the yellowish green they use is meant to look toxic and sickly, like a much more highly concentrated, more radioactive looking substance than whatever Umarak's body was made of before. It's like he's exploding with energy. They're trying to convey that Umarak has fused with the Mask of Control somehow, causing him to mutate and hulk out. It's like in a SNES game where the final boss hulks out for the second phase of the fight and looks ugly and exaggerated as heck. That's the entire point. So... they've succeeded, whatever it is they were trying to do. Now it's just a matter of whether or not they should've "known better" than to attempt such a thing in the first place. Personally, I'm really glad they did this.
  14. Still waiting for someone at toy fair to get some better pics of the Bionicle figures... I just wanna say, I REEEEALLY like it that the Skulls are still present, though probably feral and directionless without Kulta to order them around. It's sort of like how they kept the Bohrok around for a while as a part of the story even though the Kal were already selling. It makes the transition from one line to the next easier. It also gives the Toa something to fight until Umarak summons his three elemental beasts. I also REEEALLY hope we get to see those in the Netflix series, too, and that they build them up as these forces of nature with powers that rival the Toas'. That would be awesome.
  15. Why does lego keep making most of the villain sets smaller than the Toa?
