  1. OOC: FYI, there's an empty Rahkshi suit in the middle of the main room. Long story... IC: Lash. "There isn't any service," Lash said bitterly, interrupting the newcomer, "the innkeeper left for an unexpected holiday, and I'm holding down the fort while he's away," clearly, this guy wasn't the kind of attention she'd been planning to attract, but there wasn't much she could do about it. She didn't want to start killing people and arousing the guards' suspicions. Too much was at stake here. She would have to either get this guy to leave on his own, or, if he persisted, she would have to get him a stupid drink. "Now, how can I help you?" Lash asked.
  2. IC: Natharius. Natharius let the ghost of a smile cross his face. He remembered the pink scarf Grokk was so obsessed with making Dorian wear. "Go with the pink one." he told Skyra.
  3. IC: Dayeth. Dayeth, moving to stand just behind Kellin, knew that this was going to be her one and only chance to make a move. While he was shouting out to Ria, looking through the hole in the wall, Dayeth silently drew her knife and war axe, catching Mortem's gaze and nodding to him. It was time. Jabbing her foot-long knife at Kellin's spine and swinging her axe at the back of his head, Dayeth prayed that Makuta was watching over her. OOC: Here we go...
  4. IC: Lash. Kneeling in front of the door to her new temporary hideout, Lash drew her knife and scratched a marking into the dark stone of the doorframe. It was a symbol that those she wanted to attract the attention of would hopefully notice, and recognise: The Rahkshi symbol.
  5. OOC: I think heading to Le-Wahi will be even more interesting now with the beetles around. I'm still good to go. (Oh, and my Makuta worshipping Matoran character may or may not have started a wildfire a few days back to push the aforementioned beetles closer to the Le-Koro). IC: Zaara. Zaara looked at the newcomer. It might be fun to have someone else along for the journey. She couldn't quite comprehend why Marda was being so standoffish to the newbie, when she had only met Zaara ten minutes ago as well. Zaara was learning to get comfortable with strangers, since everyone she met was a stranger to her. As long as no one tried to stick a dagger in her, she'd be just fine. "Be nice, Marda," Zaara said, "surely you have room on your ship for just one more person?" OOC: You did not just call me a... HenchGrokk. I've tolerated having my name mangled, but that's a bit over the top. IC: Natharius. Natharius seethed inwardly. Now that the harmless fun of Grokk's prank was apparently over, he felt like a third wheel to the bickering couple that was Grokk and Dorian. Biting back several snappy remarks, Natharius followed Skyra upstairs. He wondered if she felt the same way he did, since she was now reduced to finding a new shirt for Dorian. "So much for the greatest prank in recent history," Natharius muttered under his breath. Despite being a floor above them, he could still clearly hear Dorian's lengthy rant, and he had to admit, it was rather amusing. ...and you walk right into my front door, vandalize my house, play my piano and ###### me off. That was your plan? Great plan. Really. One for the ages." Natharius tried not to laugh; It seemed Dorian didn't know about the broken window yet.
  6. IC: Dayeth. Kellin was starting to get suspicious. Despite her best attempts at persuading them all, Kellin was still skeptical. Dayeth half-wished that there actually were Chameleon Rahkshi, just so one of them could sneak up behind Kellin and impale him on its staff. But, if there were Rahkshi, Dayeth wouldn't be announcing their presence, would she? Besides, even if he did get himself impaled on a Rahkshi staff, he probably still wouldn't believe it, since he and his oh-so-precious crab hadn't spotted it first. She was really starting to hate that crab, too; it wouldn't stop staring at her with its beady little crab eyes. She turned hopefully towards the Titan, the terrified look on her face speaking volumes. She was confident that if she could at least get him out of the picture, even if it was only temporarily, she might have a chance of pulling something off. This was it; her last chance.
  7. IC: Reson. Reson shrugged to himself, realising that the conversation was over. He lingered for a moment at the gate, peering out into the dimness of the tunnel, then fell into step behind Sajis, continuing after her along the patrol route.
  8. I'm always careful... that's why neither of my evil characters have been captured or killed yet. I'm not planning on reactivating my Rahkshi until after the attack has begun. By then, it will be too late to stop me... MWAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! - TO ALL EVILDOERS PLANNING ON HELPING WITH THE UPCOMING PIRAKA ATTACK ON ONU-KORO - My Vortixx Lash (and the Rahkshi she just brought into the city) have just hired out a small Inn and paid the innkeeper to skip town for a few weeks. Any evildoers working with he Piraka/Legacy who are wanting to gather in preparation for the attack, please head for The Ussal Crabp Inn on the outskirts of the city. It shall be our temporary base of operations until the time comes...
  9. IC: Reson. Reson did a quick count of his own inventory. He only had two weapons, but he had a power as well. Did that count as a weapon as well? If it did, he had nearly as many weapons as the Vortixx did. Did that make him a possible threat as well? Or was it more to do with intent? If that was the case, then neither he nor the Vortixx were really threats to the city. He was with the Ussalry now, and he Vortixx was a merc. "But she was a mercenary," Reson pointed out, "from what I've seen, that bunch don't really think or act independently. She's only a threat to us if someone pays her to be a threat, so I think we're pretty safe." But then he remembered something: Lash had said she only worked as a mercenary part-time. IC: Lash. Lash deliberately found herself the oldest, filthiest, most dilapidated inn in the city, The Ussal Crab, far away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, in a dank area of the city where no one in their right mind would go to, and rented the whole place to herself. She was the only customer, and the innkeeper was more than happy to take her money, including the bribe to leave town for a few weeks. As soon as he was gone, she moved Breathless' empty suit into the main foyer area, setting it up as a centerpiece to the otherwise quite dull room. Once she was done with that, she wandered around the perimeter of the small, two-floor building, making sure all of the windows and doors were secure, and there were no gaps or holes in the dark stone walls. The place seemed secure. Stopping out front, she decided to add her own personal touch to the dung-heap of an Inn. She reached up to the sign and pulled off the b at the end, flipping it over and putting it back, so that it was now a p. Now the name was much more fitting. Then she sat back behind the counter, sipping from a bottle of wine she'd found in the cellar, and summoned her Kraata from hiding. "Breathless, come." the slimy creature, still with the dark cloth stuck to its back, slithered out of hiding; it had been following her from the shadows since she'd entered the city. "Good boy," Lash whispered, picking up the repulsive slug and hiding it in a chest, which she then hauled up the stairs and hid away in the bottom of a cupboard in a cluttered storage room on the top floor of the inn, out of sight, and safe until she needed him. "And now..." she muttered to herself, sitting back down with her drink, "now I wait." OOC: If any other Makuta worshipers make their way into the city, or are already here, they can join Lash in The Ussal ###### until the attack begins. This can be our temporary base of operations before we take the city for ourselves. Mwahahaha!
  10. OOC: Are you sure? I'm kind of confused. The first post I read mentioning Mortem chained up said he was in front of the hospital. Here it is: Was there something before this post that I missed or misinterpreted? IC: Dayeth Hearing Mortem's hasty addition to her distraction made Dayeth want to laugh. He sounded perfectly deadpan serious; very convincing. If the defenders didn't believe her, surely they would believe him with that speech. But instead of laughing, she cried out. "No, please don't let them kill us!" she begged the gathered good guys, "Find them before they get here. Save us, please!" she was on the verge of tears now. Not tears of terror, although that was certainly how the defenders would perceive it, but tears of joy. Her plan looked like it was finally about to come together.
  11. IC: Reson. "What, do you want someone to follow her?" Reson asked. "Is that necessary? We took her explodey powder off her. I'm sure its nothing to worry about." Seeing the look on Sajis face, he reconsidered, "but then, you are the professional at all of this guard stuff... maybe you're right..."
  12. In other news, guess who just successfully got a Rahkshi into Onu-Koro? It's amazing what you can accomplish when you bend the truth just a little bit...
  13. OOC: It was a joke, timageness411. Dayeth hates everyone and doesn't really care what they're actually doing. IC: Dayeth. Dayeth was momentarily astounded by the Plantlife Toa's lack of interest, but in a small corner of her mind, she wondered if she and Mortem had enough money between them to hire the Toa to help them. That was, if she could get the rest of the defenders to go hunting the non-existent Rahkshi first. "What kind of Rahkshi?" the Titan asked. "There was a bunch of them, all walking together. They were all the same, red and gold. I looked at them, and then they just vanished!" seeing the expressions hat greeted her outburst, Dayeth knew she had then hook, line, and sinker. Her panicky wounded Matoran act was immaculate, as always. Now the only question would be whether any of the defenders would be brave, or stupid, enough to go looking for the Rahkshi. OOC: According to this table http://biosector01.com/wiki/index.php/Rahkshi#Rahkshi_Types, red and gold are the colours of Chameleon Rahkshi. If any of the people she's talking to actually know that, then Dayeth's line about the Rahkshi vanishing will make a bit more sense to them.
  14. IC: Lash. The Stralix Powder was a small sacrifice compared to what she'd managed to do. She had just successfully smuggled a Rahkshi into a populated city. The guards had fallen for her thinly-veiled lies, and now she was free to rest, recuperate, and ready herself for the fight to come. The next time she confronted one of these Ussalry members would likely be when she was trying to kill them. Now the waiting game would begin. Whistling to herself, LAsh took back her weapons and tossed them in the cart with her Rahkshi, which she then slowly wheeled into the city. The next challenge would be finding somewhere to keep the Rahkshi, out of sight from prying eyes, until the time came to strike. IC: Reson. "Well, that was bizarre," Reson mused, mostly to himself. This day had turned out more exciting than he'd expected.
  15. IC: Lash. "No," Lash shrugged, "if you don't trust me, feel free to hold onto it until I leave. I won't be needing it," That was a lie. If and when the attack finally came, any amount of explodey powder might come in handy, but she had a Rahkshi now. That would do just as well. "Now, if that's everything, can I please enter the city?" Lash pleaded.
  16. That seems to be a very specific example. Did someone try that?
  17. IC: Lash. "I hire myself out as merc when I'm low on widgets," Lash admitted, "so of course I use it a lot." Sometimes the truth, or part of the truth, was more convincing than any lie.
  18. Common sense is not a realm I often visit. Hence why I'm on the RPG...
  19. IC: Reson. Yay, I got something right! Reson almost shouted with joy, but managed to keep an Ussalry-appropriate stony expression. IC: Lash. "Fine," Lash growled, pulling out her knives and passing them over. Then her whips, "be very careful how you handle those." "What, are they delicate?" Reson asked, taking the weapons and turning them over in his hands, almost immediately cutting himself on one of the razor-sharp serrated teeth lining them. "No, you are." Lash explained. She gave up the red lightstone strung around her neck, then handed over her satchel. Carrying Stralix Powder wasn't actually illegal, at least insofar as she knew, but carrying enough of it to level a small building would definitely raise suspicious. Lash was confident she could still explain it away. She was good at lying.
  20. IC: Dayeth. There was a Toa of Plantlife outside now; Dayeth noticed. He was talking to... the crab? Kellin Santos still had Mortem's staff, and the Titan was still loitering around as well. Any one of them on their own, Dayeth might have been able to deal with, but all of them together presented a serious problem. She needed to split them up or distract them or something before she could make her move. And for that, she had a plan... "Help!" she cried once more, limping out the doors to where the Titan and Kellin stood, near where Mortem was chained and the plantlife Toa was flirting with the crab. "Didn't you see them? Rahkshi, out there in the snow!" she pointed off in the distance, back towards Ko-Koro. "They were coming towards us. Please don't let them get in here and hurt us!" OOC: Let's see who takes the bait... after all, how could you doubt the terrified little Ta-Matoran lady?
  21. Okay, I'm still stuck in the hospital, and now I need to come up with a plan to move things along so that dear Dayeth isn't wandering around pointlessly for the next thirty posts. Can someone give me an idea of everyone (PC and NPC) who is in or around the hospital? The servants of Makuta would really appreciate it.
  22. IC: Dayeth Now that she was on her feet, Dayeth took stock of her surroundings, doing a full lap of the hospital, looking out all of the windows to get an idea of how many beings were in and around the hospital. Mortem, still chained up outside, seemed to be the only potential ally she had. He wouldn't be enough. She would have to wait until circumstances shifted in her favour before acting.
  23. IC: Reson. "Well, apart from, you know, the dead Rahkshi, there doesn't seem to be anything unusual in this cart..." he turned to Sajis. "Are we right to let her in, or do we need to search her as well?" he jabbed a thumb in the direction of Lash. "Your call." IC: Lash. Lash froze. She had been so concerned about getting caught with a live Kraata that she hadn't stopped to consider the excessive amount of Stralix Powder she was carrying in her satchel. If the guards searched her and found it, they might get suspicious. Please don't listen to the purple idiot, she prayed silently to whatever gods, good or evil, that might have been listening.
  24. OOC: I can't tell if you're being sarcastic, or genuinely don't know what the Entropy Beetles are. They're evil bugz Zaktan made when he was splashing around some antidermis in the swamp in Le-Wahi. They also eat trees. Last time I checked, Le-Koro is built on trees. Just another gift from our dear friend Nuju Metru. IC: Zaara. "A jungle?" Zaara mused. "Sounds better than a sandstorm, or the heat in this place. Le-Wahi sounds like a great travel destination. But, ah, just one thing..." she looked around, "...how do we get there?"
  25. IC: Lash. "That funny little squirmy thing?" Lash feigned ignorance. "I squished it. Very unpleasant. It took forever to scrape it all off my boot. You satisfied; we done here now? Can I go inside the city or not?
