Those copper masks look really good
-
As I continue to study Bionicle, I am constantly reminded of that blasted Lego Island, the one with pepper and the brickster. There was also Mama and Papa Brickolini and those two cops there were also many more characters... So what ever happened to Lego Island? Does it still exist within the Lego universe? Do you remember playing Lego island games? Do you remember the sets (if any)?

I would love to see the old building styles make a comeback "Lego Technic: Bionicle" and I think they would sell just as great as they were sold back in 2001. You just can't beat the classics.

I simply refer to "matoran villagers" as Tohunga, sometimes Koronans. I believe that all names of the sub species of matoran should start with a T. In the story technically they are still called Tohunga, but they realized that they were all one people and started calling themselves "matoran". Honestly tohunga sounds better when referring to the villagers. It does indeed grant them a more tropical islander feel. Besides, they are boneheads on voodoo island after all.

Hau. As in "Hau could you!"
-
Because they were more technic and resembled their predecessors the slizers. They were not that moveable I agree but also they made up for that with the gear box function in the shoulders. Also they wear all six great masks (hello?) Plus form into two more powerful warriors. Can't do that with inika or glatorians though.

It is the McToran, for they are the first ones that come to mind when talking about matoran. I also liked the ones from Metru jui even though they weren't very spectacular.

I think damaged Toa can be rebuilt by a skilled turaga
-
Again this is not about the toys themselves but rather their characters.
-
Maybe they meant riding on the back of a Toa? With the hau, and all...
-
Their masks don't necessarily reflect their "personalities" rather than I meant what their role is on mata-nui. Their masks represent their roles as characters
-
I have noticed the matoran you got from happy meals back in 2001 wear colored masks representing their respective Toa Matas, but they also show characteristics which represent what their role is on mata-nui.
Onepu- He was a "champion of strength" according to the instructions. The kanohi pakari is a great mask of strength, and Onepu being the "Champion of strength".
Jala- As the captain of the guard, he is a main protector of the people of mata-nui and he wears the kanohi hau the great mask of protection so it makes Jala the "champion of shielding".
Kongu- He wears the Miru, great mask of flight and he is the leader of the Gukko force. He flies on a rahi called a "Kahu" which allows kongu to be the flight master.
Matoro- He wears the great mask of vision, and in ko-koro he is the head seer of the village. His great mask is symbolism for him being the "seer". Ko-koronans meditate and contemplate the future.
Huki- He wears the Kakama mask of speed, and being the Koli champion of po-koro he would need to have unmatched speed.
Maku- You may think she would have the mask of water, but she does not. She wears the noble mask of invisibility, the huna. This may be because she "disappears" from ga-koro.

Who cares if masks give powers able to use without the masks? Let other characters have a chance to fly, or breathe underwater.

TOA!!1
METRU!!!! These toa are ones of quality.

He's a bit over the top, but the use of technic pieces is very appealing especially if you loved the first generation. The gold hau is just what I would expect him to wear but overall this is a cool mata-nui

"But with Makuta, you never know."

I went downhill for me around Stars, after discovering Bionicle was ending. The "online" story was never going to really cut it for me, and when they quit I gave up hope for years
-
It is probably supposed to resemble the "Mask of light" for it being the "great mask of shadow" so I suspected they would both have similar faces on the kanohi, and I believe that face is for use as it's "true shape" and the second side being the "shapshifted form" of course, both the mask of light and shadows faces both look like the Hau to me

This is just awe-inspiring. I was expecting the Mctoran nuparu but this moc was just unexpected and cool I like it.

The bohrok were scary cleaning machines

Thread dies after not misprint.

I agree, in that Velika must be stopped! They left the story off at a cliff-hanger, and I believe they may start off from that point but I would love a reboot of Bionicle 2001, with collectible masks and the old technic building styles.

How is he lighting up!! This is awesome 0.0....
