  1. I like the names, especially Nilkuu.

I'm sad that Kivoda is a guy but that means that the elements are NOT gender specific.

Vizuna sound like a feminine name to me so that moght mean that PoJ may be female! (It's just a guess beacuse I haven't been able to read up to that because certain portions of the first book seem to be based on ones device, or atleast that is how it is for me)

  2. Hey Yesterday (as in like about 2 hours ago) was the day of my birthday, and my dad got me the SDCC mask and a SDCC BIONICLE 2015 two-sided poster!

(I apologize if this is off topic)

My dad also got me the BIONICLE Special edition Toa Norik and Toa Iruini sets in the double pack! (still with the box), as well as an Orange Vahi.

  3. I had a numberless Disk of Time but my mom got mad and destroyed (no joke, she got mad at me for watching Star Wars III, took them into the garage and ran them over, while she had me watch) it and all my other kanoka back in 2005.

I'm sorry dude. but it could have been worse right? she could have burned the house down (not trying to make you feel worse) because that actually happened, so...

  4. Guys, IT'S JULY!!

Why haven't we gotten any new information regarding the development of the game?!?

I understand taking time off to relax, but its been far too long!!!

If you need more people to help you on this, than people will come! There are many users with the skill needed to help the progress of this project along!

  5. I've been wondering about this and I suppose this is a good place to ask, but did the spinners that came with these little cereal toys http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/6992_Red_Toa_-_Jaller

    http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/6994_Blue_Toa_-_Hahli

    http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/6993_Green_Toa_-_Kongu

Fit with the rest of the rhotuka spinners? It looks like they would, same with the piraka and kanoka disks?

OH THE NIGHTMARES!! WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO KONGU'S MASK?!?!!?!?

I'm still mad that they didn't even use any facebook pictures for the contest (even though they said they would) and as such I couldn't even come close to winning, which stings even more since I've been a fan since the beginning. Also lego didn't even follow their own rules at times and often changed them during the contest, lucky they do that in your case so that's a relief.

Maybe none of the images submitted via Facebook stood out to them as the ones submitted via Twitter and Instagram? Just because none of them won doesn't mean none of them were considered.I've been a fan since the beginning as well, but I don't feel sore about not winning. There's a bit of random chance inherent in any contest of this sort. And that's actually a pretty good thing, since it means that kids with less creative experience won't be completely outmatched by lifelong fans like us. They still haven't announced how the golden Mask of Creation will be given out, and that might end up being a more skill-based competition than this one.

There's a golden Mask of Creation? I thought that there were only the 6 elemental masks and the Skull Spider one
Nope, a Mask of Creation was shown at New York Comic Con last year: 15653683731_9f70bb42e3.jpg In fact, the Golden Mask of Skull Spiders was the only one NOT shown at New York Comic-Con, so when it was announced as the prize for the Battle for the Gold Mask it was a surprise to most of us who had been there.

What if I where the one to get that mask through another contest, that would make my life as a Bionicle fan worth while.

Big Hero 6 sure has changed since i saw it. :t

How are they called hero6 if there's only 5 of them?

    Because the 6th Hero

    Is you.

The 2008-2010 bionicle sets kind of felt like knock offs because the ball sockets broke extremely easily

How are they called hero6 if there's only 5 of them?

Consistency is overrated, like most ripoff sets.

Look at these delicious color schemes

WHAT'VE THEY DONE TO THE BOHROK?!

    This is an outrage!

    They made them... invincible. :V

    :superfunny:

Edit: Please add some more substance to your posts in the future!

    -Wind-

I actually kind of want those bohrok now.

    BIONICLE 2016 ....?

    Maybe ....?

I don't think so, mate. It's a bit early for that, as we're not even halfway through the year.

Yeah. If anything, I'd expect Bionicle 2016 talk to be reserved for a return appearance at New York Comic Con this fall, given the theme's massive debut there last year.

Okay, fair enough. Makes sense at least.

  10.

That's sweet! It's like a type of Kohlii. I like the color choice, designs of both the villagers and the arena, and just how you used pieces so appropriately. No wonder you won. It's so nifty and innovative.

Thanks! My brother Lyichir actually helped out a lot with the color choices. In fact, he was going to do a model with a couple Bionicle villagers for his own entry, but he was having a hard time coming up with a creature for them to fight or anything else to turn it into a fully developed play scenario, so he decided to work on a non-Bionicle model and told me I could use the villager idea instead (since he had basically taken a lot of inspiration for the villagers from my own LDD models anyway). He ended up building a cute LEGO System dragon and getting an honorable mention for his creation.

Kolhii was a big source of inspiration for me, as was the Mesoamerican ballgame (which I'd read about as a child in a book called Rain Player). The idea developed pretty organically, though. I had two figures, and couldn't come up with a foe for them to fight, so I asked "what if they're fighting each other?" and then "Why would they be fighting each other?" The idea of a friendly village tournament emerged from there, and so then all I had to do was come up with an objective, a prize, and a set of rules.

I've actually been hoping to get sets like this for next year. There might be a small amount of luck that you've influenced an official designer to make a set like this for a future wave of Bionicle. Maybe, just maybe...

I honestly thought this was a real set. Wow. I really love it, and if this becomes an official set I would definitely buy it.

LEGO DO IT! DO IT NOW!!!

During the competition and the awards ceremony, Andy Woodman (a LEGO Technic designer, who had briefed us on most of our activities), joked a lot about LEGO packing our designs up in boxes and selling them as sets, but I'm pretty sure he was just kidding. I'd love if LEGO took inspiration for future sets from my model, and under the terms of the NDA I signed, they could legally do so without needing to run it by me.

I could see this kind of tournament being sold as a two-character starter set and a series of single-character expansion sets sort of like Speedorz. But by the time of the tour I'm sure planning for the 2016 sets was already well underway, so I'm sure it's too late to see anything like this in the immediate future unless LEGO was already rolling that kind of idea around in their heads even before I was!

From my experience and knowledge when it comes to lego hinting at something a lot, it tends to mean that it may, or will most certainly happen. But, I don't know, what ever they do in the future lets hope that at least one of those thing is either this or something like this.

anymore updates on things we're working on?

Not really an update, but I wanted to know if major rivers should be accessible to ships, just like Crusader Kings II (only this time available to everyone, not just pagans and tribes). How do you think this would look like on the map? Vanson said that he thought that was a good idea, but you have the game and i wanted your opinion on it based on that.

I ask this because the Skrall River from Faber's map of the area of Bara Magna seems pretty huge near the sea, and this decision is vital to the development of the map.

I have no problem with rivers, ADD THEM IN. besides, that giant sea that was once of Bota Magna had HUGE rivers and deltas, so why not?

Giant sea? What are you talking about exactly?
The sea on the UBM (united bota magna) flag.
