  1. I'm just going to pretend none of that was sarcastic.
  2. that usually files under "if we explain this particular thing it'll only be more confusing and agonizing to read" short answer: for human-like familiarity, humans have gender as a thing that unquestionably exists, so humanoids in fiction usually follow suit. Yeah, but we know the real answer don't we? LEGO didn't refuse to seize the chance to sell a few boy-ish girls a few action figures. This, but also I'd like to see the other elements we didn't see at all in Gen 1. Stuff like Plasma, Sonics, Gravity, Lightning, etc. Those are actually the most cheesy things you could see in the bionicle universe. These things are used by 8-year olds to make weapons sound super deadly and cool. I don't really understand what you mean. I meant for characters, not for weapons.
  3. This, but also I'd like to see the other elements we didn't see at all in Gen 1. Stuff like Plasma, Sonics, Gravity, Lightning, etc. Being told about all these cool elements but never actually getting them in set form is just cruel, and one of the few things I out-right hated about Bionicle. There's not really a law that all Toa Master teams MUST have six members and six members only, so I think unorthodox elements could and hopefully will be a thing with Bionicle G2. But on top of that, there should be different sub-villages so that characters of these elements have homes too. For example, there could be a Plasma sub-village within Ta-Wahi. It'd make sense, considering they both have to do with fire and heat. And like others have said, some kind of canon romance would be nice if it's handled well.
  4. Is it really an unpopular opinion? If we got a TV Show I would like 2D animation much, much more than CGI that doesn't effectively capture emotion.
  5. Like people have already said, cardboard boxes are better for the environment, but also I think if LEGO brought back canisters, but they take up way too much space if you're looking to buy 'em all (or at least try to), and it would probably bring the prices of the sets up as-well, due to the extra plastic needed to make one. LEGO is already relatively expensive, so yeah. Boxes FTW.
  6. When Lucina first mentioned this part existing in other colours I wrongly assumed that it already existed as a brick! Scratch a whole bunch of time looking for a reference... (For those interested though, the Hau is now listed [MODERATOR NOTE this link is broken and broke the rest of the page somehow??] Seeing as it won't be out till the rest of the sets are I won't be able to have spares ready but I'll certainly try mocking up the silver Onua post-release. Depending on how I feel about the protectors they may not even stay out on display in which case I can use their parts. I'm really not one for fiddling with sets though, more a genuine collector. Just feel like Lego is forcing my hand on this one... I'm still not seeing this huge similarity that everyone else is. I'm also concerned that the masks seem pretty small when compared to the original Mata Kanohi. Like in this pic of the Hau prototypes... I think they're that size just to work with the new heads they're going with for this wave. I mean, it is pretty much an entirely new system without any pegs at all. And I don't think LEGO intended for them to be too incredibly alike, just similar so fans of the old could still tell which kanohi was which. Considering they're using the old Mata characters, I think it's necessary they kept some of the key features of the masks the same, otherwise people would probably be raging all over BZPower: "z0mG i haet lego wat hav dey done wiht mai favurit toa?!?!?!?!" Then again that's just my opinion...
  7. I don't know, really. With a TV show there's a lot of ways LEGO could mess it up. Movies is something Bionicle has already done in the past, so that'd be pretty cool. I think I'd rather have the story told through books and movies. Another neat thing LEGO could do is put a few tid-bits of information on the back of the packaging of the sets. A little bio of the characters and maybe a bit about where they come from or something of that fashion. That way, people wouldn't have to be really involved and invested with all the different books, comics, movies, etc, to know their fair bit of the lore. EDIT: I also think a new online exploration game similar to MNOG would be a fantastic move by LEGO in terms of getting fans to know this whole new island.
  8. I don't really think LEGO should bring in too many old characters. Small references in the story, sure, but this is a new universe and I think we shouldn't cling on too hard to things that have come and gone. Personally, I'd really like to see more elements rather than always only having the six classic elements as sets. Stuff like Lightning, Plasma, Sonic, etc.
  9. I used to hate gear functions. But then I took a LEGO gearbox to the knee, because this joke hasn't been used over 9000 times in the past.
  10. I just think they over-did it this time to be honest. He looks really top-heavy (that chestplate especially). I do like that they've exaggerated one of his key traits, but I think it'd be perfect if they just toned it down a tiny bit, or spread out the bulkiness to some of his lower areas. I also think it's worthy to note that I really love what they've done with the mask. You can tell straight away that it's a pakari but it just looks more modernized to fit with what LEGO is going for with this wave of sets. So pretty much I agree with everything you said. Then again, I never really liked Onua in the original Bionicle, so maybe that's just me. :/
  11. Probably Tahu, just because he's always been essentially the posterboy of Bionicle. If I could only get one, he would probably be that one. Second would be Kopaka because he's my favourite Toa Master and the first one I ever got.
  12. All aboard the Hype Train! 2015 Edition!

  13. Hmm... Either a Gukko bird or an Ussal Crab. Does it count if I say Gukko Crab? EDIT: Or maybe even an Energy Hound. So that's a flying Gukko Energy Crab.
  14. I'd like if they polished up Bionicle, tweaked it (FIX THE DARN CRACKED JOINTS), simplified the story, just a little, so that newer fans could jump right in without having to read everything that came before. And then give it a better ending (in my opinion, the ending just didn't feel epic enough to compliment such an epic story-line). I don't think its return is likely, but then again, that could just be the nagging little voice in the back of my head. Hero Factory and *insert name of new theme here* could both run at the same time, Hero Factory staying how it is, to appeal to the "younger" audience, and *insert name of new theme here* could lean more to the dark, gritty, mature side of things. On a common sense side of things, I think it'd be the optimal decision, but then looking at it from the business perspective, I don't think that's gonna happen. Above all, I hope that it'll be the line we've been waiting for since 2010. With a real story-line, real characters and a real setting.
  15. I think they look pretty sweet, and they remind me of the old-school exo-force drones. Also, HF Assembly Tower. MAKE IT, LEGO!
  16. I want all the characters to have the spotlight at least once. The ones like Surge or Breeze, who are always some of the smaller sets, the ones who are usually swept aside to make way for others like Rocka or Furno. I definitely think that Stormer should have the spotlight much more. considering he was the original leader in 1.0, it would just make sense.
  17. I liked the Cordak blasters and the Midiak Skyblasters. Cordak because they were literally Lego gatling guns (Kongu Dual-Wield!) Midiak because they looked cool, the spheres were pretty nice, they could hold four and they were pretty powerful for Bionicle blasters. That's all just my opinion though.
  18. Definitely, hands-down, without a doubt, Crashed by Daughtry. Man, that Mahri mini-movie was awesome. A close second would be Gravity Hurts.
