  1. Everyone's saying how Constraction Luke Skywalker's head looks terrifying, and I'm just sitting here thanking the heavens it actually exists! A while ago I created a skin for a hypothetical Self-MOC that used a human head. The head was blonde and had blue eyes. The Luke head fits that description perfectly! Now does all of Tahu's red sections (mask excluded obviously) come in Metru Blue?
  2. I'm loving this so far, but I have a few qualms: -It feels like it needs an inventory. I'd like to be able to interchange between the flame sword and elemental blaster. -Where can I get the protodermis sheets? I assume they aren't in this version, it'd be nice to have a little note saying they aren't. It'd save much time. -The platforming is rather difficult, and I found it difficult trying to tell if something was a path or something in the background. Overall, I love it, it's just a little bit too hard and finicky. I'm all for difficulty, but this isn't the good kind. I'm sure the updates will fix this and fix the platform issue (perhaps by slightly blurring the background to make it seem further away and out of focus?), and I have faith in this project.
  3. It reminds me of what currently stands at 2/3rds of my life, opening the toa canisters, dumping out the contents, clicking it all together, and then sending the toa on wild adventures to save the universe. Bionicle has always held that soft spot in my heart, and it always will. also it reminds me of HF
  4. I agree, 10 sets would have rocked, and so would it have if it were a system theme. Anyhow, this is off topic. I feel like 2009 sets would have been better if they'd introduced CCBS.
  5. 2009 would have been better if Glatorian's and Agori didn't exist. Just have them be new Toa, it's not like that's impossible. I'd seriously be fine if they were Toa and Matoran, and wore helmets that covered the whole face or something. 2008 would be better if the Mistika/Phantoka actually looked more like the Nuva. 2010 would be better if it was a full year, with actual sets, 2006 would be better if there were actual faces. 2015 would be better if there were canisters, backwards compatible masks, mask packs and NAMES FOR THE PROTECTORS. 2011-2014 would be better if they were actual years EDIT: I have found all of the sets including Gali over here in 3 different stores, so you guys have horrid luck lol. Also, I think I'm alone in this, but I actually LIKED the Ben 10 sets...
  6. I kinda wish the Protectors had names. Doesn't matter if it's the Tohunga, the Mahri, the Turaga, whatever. Just give them NAMES! They're clearly distinct from the rest of the villagers, so why give them such generic titles? And the same with "Mask Maker" why not call him "Ekimu the Mask Maker"? Unless there's gonna be a way to change them between Ekimu and Makuta, I see no reason to give such an important character a generic title. And the protectors, is it so hard to print "-name- Protector of -Element-"?! I wouldn't even care if they were given HF names (I'd rather they didn't, but hey ho), Just NAME THEM!
  7. I use a time machine to travel back in time to Oct 01 2014 at 06:53 PM and take the mask from Onuku. My Mask.
  8. Got Tahu with Xmas money: Pros: -Great pieces -Great posability -3 different masks (i'm a sucker for masks) -Awesome weapons -Mask function is so much fun. -IT'S FREAKING TAHU. Cons: -Mask comes off a bit easier than I desire, but that's a nitpick to me anyhow -Head has more friction than a friction extender -The friction extenders are 50/50, only providing friction when they want to. -The head can't really look down -Trans blue instead of trans florescent blue for the eyestalk, means they don't have the same glow as mata/metru eyestalks. And now, for a completely controversial con: -The gears. I don't know what it is, the gearbox, how it connects, all that's fine, just the gear function itself is annoying me for some reason... I've since locked up Tahu's, and I feel like I'll be doing the same to the rest...
  9. EDIT: Fixed that for ya I signed up to it from the UK, and got the email. Pretty saddened to see it's US only though.
  10. If I remember Onua's instructions correctly, he has friction extenders on his arms, which should be why his are tighter; friction extenders work like the pistons in later Bionicle titan sets. What makes them different from regular sockets? Never had them in hand, but I'd assume they'd give a tighter connection.
  11. Tahu. But I do intend on getting 2 of him (one gets repainted and customized into my self-moc) and the protectors, and 1 of the other toa. On top of that, some small HF sets to up my CCBS.
  12. Every time I go to my local precinct, I'm bringing a rucksack, with my Tahu MOC inside. I will go to every toystore, and check for bionicle. If I find them. I will take pics of them with my Tahu MOC, and buy them. If I lack the money, I will try and have them reserved for my parents to buy later. If I can't reserve them, I will put them to the very back/under the shelves, and come back later. Sound feasible?
  13. Sounds like you're in the UK, if so, then you don't have a chance, like the rest of us Brits D: But there have been broken street dates before! My friend got a whole load of 2014 Star Wars sets for Xmas 2013, but that is my only base to go on
  14. Went to my local TRU, no bonkles. The one guy I worked up the nerve to ask (I don't do well talking to shop clerks, idk why), sounded really new and had no idea what the I was on about. I haven't checked my local Smyths (Big toy store), and my local LEGO shop hasn't even got the shipment in yet. The smaller Lego suppliers in my area (Asda, Tesco, John Lewis, etc) don't have them yet, but they're running seriously low in HF, in fact, I was checking in Tesco, and I saw a kid pick up, and walk off with the last HF set. I just need them before christmas...
  15. Literally everyone who isn't Nektann. Nektann just looks off for a Skakdi. Skrall has those cool blades, and looks all around. Gresh has some kickin weapons and an amazing colour scheme. Takanuva... He's cool, but the lack of gold. I suppose people didn't want to confuse him with golden tahu... Tahu is my favourite character, so I'm kind of biased. The huge sword is amazing, and the two hau's are cool. Rahkshi is just... oh my god I can't even. It's just so cool.
  16. If I get any of these stud shooters outside the protectors, I'm gonna see if I can make a spaceship that uses the stud shooters to get a "battle damage" effect.
  17. I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up with one of the following polybags: A very small "villager" with a golden protector mask (when I say small, I mean like that tiny Breez mecha poly) An accessory pack with one random skull mask, legs, a protector gun, and a sword of somesorts. A Mask of Creation/Control poly (if we end up with both, make it the Mask of Ultimate Power) A silver mask poly, basically just any random mask (but not a skull mask) in silver. Poly based mask packs with a random colour mask and skull mask (PLEASE LET THIS ACTUALLY HAPPEN THEY WOULD GET SO MUCH OF MY MONEYS)
  18. I'd actually love an online or mobile adventure game that is NOT combat-intensive. But that's partly because of the fact that that's just the type of game I like to play. Mata Nui Online Game, the Professor Layton series, and the Ace Attorney series are all good examples of the games I enjoy — games that tell an interesting character-driven story, but depend more on observation and decision-making than on strategy or split-second reaction time. However, it wouldn't surprise me if whatever games we get tend to be more action-based than those examples I prefer. After all, BIONICLE sets are action figures and they are designed to do battle. A game can be fun and fit the BIONICLE universe without focusing on that aspect, but it might not deliver a full, well-rounded BIONICLE gaming experience. I'd want something similar to the Lego games. Explore Okoto, make a custom Toa, fight off skull spiders as the LoSS if you so please... Tahu could have fire beams, Lewa could fly, Gali could swim, Pohatu could be able to run faster on a sandstorm, Onua could dig and smash stuff like a bigfig, Kopaka could have a freeze beam, etc, etc. I wish
  19. The earliest set I remember was Onua Mata. I had Lewa Nuva next, and I made Onua and Lewa fight, I didn't know the story, i thought Onua was the bad guy. I think lewa may have had a krana on his face from Nuhvok? (I don't remember if that was his name, it was the black one.) And to think that I didn't know the story, but I had Onua vs Krana-Lewa down pat (except onua was a mata but who cares amiright)
  20. No. They were referred to as Skull Spiders. Kraata was never mentioned, nor was Krana. Just thinking, a lot of things over the past few days have made me sad. Not as in Bionicle itself making me sad, more that people have seen, held, taken home, and even reviewed the new parts (and in Tahu's case, sets) and masks, and I've been sitting at my laptop drooling at it all. And then I realise that I'm probably going to have to wait until November-ish to get a hold of any of it... and I get very sad... Also, to anyone that was at the MOC-event, did they have protector masks? Also, how do the new guns fire? I NEED TO KNOW EVERYTHING!
  21. If they do bring a form of Vahi into this, how will they do it? Will it the side parts just stretch to the side of the head? Or will it be a full mask? SO MANY QUESTIONS.
  22. Maybe we could nickname him the Skull Spider Lord!Or Lord of Skull Spiders... Why you little Rahi. I see what you have done and I wish to take one of Gali's flippers, and smack you straight up the face. Also, to anyone who bought the clear Hau: Do they fit on Knights Kingdom heads? That would be nice to know.
  23. oh oh oh oh i cant hold it back anymore i need this sooo bad.... Ah, that would be me that did that.
