  1. OOC: Seriously guys, we're supposed to give Teclax a chance to post. I PMed him and said that you all wanted to move on if he wasn't attacking, which he doesn't really have a reason to do so anymore since we didn't take Mortem prisoner, but we still do owe him the opportunity for interaction. All I'm asking for is one more day to wait for a reply; if I don't hear anything from him by tomorrow, we'll move on.IC: As Verulas reached the tree-line with the group, he stopped as an uneasy feeling washed over him. This area was both way too open for his liking and provided ample amounts of cover for an ambush lying in wait. Their group hadn't arrived to or depated from the city quietly, so if anyone was lurking out there, they almost certainly had them in their sights. He squinted, eventually catching a faint glimmer in the distance. Not taking chances, he willed some trees around his allies to shake the snow from their branches in an attempt to obscure them from sight while leaving himself temporarily vulnerable.
  2. OOC: I guess I'm okay with that. I was hoping for a more specific answer, as in the knowledge of Antidermis or location of the Vault IC, but whatever. I can always have Verulas interrogate another follower of Makuta at some point. @Silo: Thanks for that, but I went back and re-edited the post anyway for it to make more sense. Hopefully, it still works out. IC: Verulas would've told the Vortixx to stop dodging around the question with his religious Karz, but the other one wanted the group out of the city and was clearly fed up with his attempts to stall. The Bo-Toa had a lead to follow up on later, but he was still irritated that he didn't get the answers he craved. Without warning, he fired the arrow. He shifted his hand at the last second, shooting it harmlessly into the snow beside the Vortixx's head. He followed the others, not waiting to see if he had wet himself and grabbing his knife as they began their trek back to the outpost. "Pray to your so-called "god" that we don't cross paths again," he growled.
  3. IC: "Cool," Verulas said as he knelt down beside the Vortixx. "Looks like we'll be getting that info after all then." He prepped the knife, prepared to cut him and deliver the poison when he saw the Vortixx wake up. He immediately dropped the weapon, kicking it out of the Vortixx's reach before creating another arrow and aiming his fully-drawn bow at his face. At this range, it was virtually imposible for him to miss. "Unless you want this entering your eye socket, I'd suggest you stay down," he growled. "Then again, you could always make this easier on yourself and just tell us how you suddenly gained the ability to fragment things. We may still knock you out afterwards, but at least you won't have to worry about us making a prisoner out of your miserable hide." He didn't even dare to blink as he waited for the Vortixx's response. Hopefully, the other Vortixx wouldn't take issue with this, as he was showing an absurd amount of restraint towards the person who tried to bury him under a falling building.
  4. I first heard of the site shortly after becoming a fan of the "BioTube" community, and after hearing it being mentioned in videos by various people I decided to check it out. I eventually joined up, but I didn't start visiting regularly (i.e. every three hours or so) until I joined the BZPRPG.
  5. If I could insert my two cents here, I'd like to remind people that RPG's are generally geared towards being able to create a character and playing them however you wish to, as long as it's within reason and the rules of the game. That being said, I've seen some followers of Mata Nui who are pretty brutal and even kill people, so I don't see why the opposite couldn't work. I'd personally play the character as if they were a reluctant evil, possibly somewhere along the lines of having a Faustian-complex in which they made a pact for a noble reason and thus had to sell out their allegiance to keep up their end of the bargain.
  6. IC: "Alright, alright. We'll leave him behind. Forgive me for trying to kill two birds with one stone," the Bo-Toa said. "And I'm not stupid; I wasn't implying that we take him back to the actual outpost. I did some scouting when I first got there and found a nice little cave system that we could've stashed him in down in the break. It was cool enough so that the heat wouldn't cook him, warm enough so that he wouldn't freeze to death, and, more importantly, it was far enough away so that the outpost wouldn't get damaged if he did escape. He'd most likely just follow the lava and head into Ta-Wahi. But if you still want to leave him here and not attempt to find out what the group will most likely be running into on future missions, just forget I said anything." He paused, listening to what the Ko and De-Toa had to say before continuing. "Glad to hear that I'm not the only recruit who thinks that bringing him along is a good idea, and now we don't have to make the sled. Still, your show, your call."
  7. IC: "Yeah, but he could wake up before it takes effect, and then there goes your plan. Unless...," Verulas said as he pulled out a knife. "Unless I cut him with this. I usually coat these in the juices of a poisonous plant, and knocks people out for a few hours once enough of it gets in their system. I do that, and your plan to turn his hands into icicles becomes much more likely to succeed." He turned to the Vortixx. "Leave him behind? That's an odd suggestion for someone who looked so interested in learning where the Matoran got her powers. Besides, who said we had to carry him? I could build up a sled if given a bit of time, Frosty could freeze him in place, and then someone could drag him back to the outpost. Just send Dastan ahead with the Fa-Toa, let us work our magic, and we can bring him with us so you can get your info."
  8. IC: "You're welcome," Verulas said sarcastically to Rekhyt as he smiled. "I aim to please." He then turned his attention to the Ko-Toa dragging the unconcious Vortixx. "Speaking of aiming, how do you aim to keep this one locked up when he can fragment, oh, just about everything he touches? If he's sedated, he can't answer our questions, and if he's awake, he's going to try to escape. Does that mean we're going to have to cut off his hands or something? Because in my opinion," he said, waiting for a reply from their Vortixx. "That would seem awfully hypocritical."
  9. And we're still waiting for Gresak to snipe one of us, though in all honesty, he'll probably shoot at Veneras since he's still under the impression that Mortem will pay him if he rescues him.
  10. IC: From his position, Verulas saw the Vortixx enter the fray in an attempt to save the Fa-Toa as the Skakdi was hit with fire from both his own gun and the Vortixx's. Dastan moved in to knock him out as he stepped outside while the Bo-Toa began clapping his hands together. "Bravo, you guys," he said. "You managed to take out a Vortixx and a Skakdi while outnumbering them, and you're all still alive. I bet you feel so special." He turned to the Vortixx. "Didn't you say that it was time for us to leave? We should get that one back to the outpost before he bleeds to death. Do whatever you want with the Skakdi, but your recruit's safety should be your priority right now." OOC: Whenever you're ready to open fire, Teclax; we're all out in the open now, and Kimala, Dayeth, and Korero are no longer in our group.
  11. IC: "Tell you what," Verulas said, glancing back towards her for a moment. "Don't go getting yourself killed and I'll consider us even. And for the record, falling over is exactly what I'll be doing; I'll just have a bed between me and the floor when I do it. Best of luck, Kimala." He began walking after the Vortixx, raising his hand in a backwards wave as he spoke once more. "Oh, and the name's Verulas by the way. See you around." The Bo-Toa disappeared into a nearby building, circumventing the rubble before entering the structure the Vortixx had just emerged from as he heard the sounds of the battle nearby.
  12. OOC: @Wall group: You guys should have waited for them to respond first before continuing, and should let more time pass between posts. Teclax is going to have to read through an entire page's worth of your fight before he even gets to perform any type of interaction. From what I've read, Gresak (the sniper) is still quite a bit away from you and out of sight as well, so it shouldn't be feasible for any of you to target him. In other words, let him post first. @Dastan: OOC only posts are not allowed; this is what News and Discussion is for. Save the OOC questions for posts with IC content in them so you don't get called out by a staff member. IC: The Bo-Toa closed his eyes, waiting for a reply from Korero as he let the Vortixx move on ahead without him.
  13. OOC: @The group near the wall: you guys do know that you haven't interacted with Krakant, right? He is still there, you know, and you all kind of zeroed in on Mortem while leaving your backs completely exposed to him. I wouldn't expect to get very far either; you also currently have a sniper trained in on your position. IC: Verulas nodded at the Vortixx's comment. "I know."
  14. No Spear of Fusion. Although, it would be interesting to see Vezok suddenly start bickering with himself if he developed Vezon as a split-personality.
  15. IC: Verulas stopped, slapping his forehead in frustration. He knew that the Vortixx was getting fed up with her, and to be honest, he was too tired to continue. He had three broken ribs in the process of healing, a knife wound to his shoulder and a cut on his side that was stitched up, multiple burns across his body, and now a bloody gash on his forehead. If he wasn't used to having the Karz kicked out of him so much, he would've passed out in a snowbank a long time ago. He knew that he couldn't keep watch over her anymore, and any further effort to do so would likely result in one or both of them getting killed. He was left with one other option, and he hated it. "Hey, Korero," he said. "Forget the drinks. Keep her safe, and I'll get you and your Maru buddies an entire bar to enjoy when I can afford it. I'm not much good to anyone in my condition, and she's better off with you anyway." "And Kimala... be sure to get a few good hits in on Shorty for me. If anyone can smack the crazy out of her, it's you."
  16. I'm going to say the Skull Spider mask, specifically the golden one on The Lord of Skull Spiders' box art. I have been in the process of making a bi-pedal spider queen moc with gold armor, and, while her current head (a Scarox-type design with two golden Exo-Force robot arms (that have minifigure harpoon guns on them) facing towards the back, and an original Stringer helmet attatched backwards so it replaces the need for an Evil Brain) looks cool, I want to see if that Skull Spider mask would look better.
  17. IC: Verulas was glad to see that Kimala was okay, but was a little disheartened to find out that she was returning alone. "So...," he said flatly. "No Matoran, huh? It's nice to know that we came all this way for nothing." He sheathed his sword and pocketed the widgets once more before heading back towards the wall. "Well, come on then. Off to Ta-Koro we go. I guess the drinks are on me since I was probably the only one who got paid today."
  18. IC: "It's called becoming a Toa, but then again, you wouldn't know because the universe probably thought that you were too irritating to get a stone. And don't take me for a hypocrite; Mata Nui can go to Karz, and I don't go running to him every time I need my butt saved." He turned up to the Vortixx to address him next. "You're right. We came to evac Matoran, not to waste time with this poor excuse for one. But we should make an attempt to look for Kimala before leaving; the whole reason we're here is because of her, and she might have gotten farther than we did on the rescuing front." The Bo-Toa turned back to the Ta-Matoran. "You're just mad because I have friends... and you don't... because you're annoying." Finally, he turned to Korero. "I hate that I have to dump her on you, but the Vortixx is right; we've got to go. She's a bit unpredictable though, so watch out," he said, pointing to his shoulder wound. "Maybe the next time we meet, it'll be in a bar instead of in combat. I'll even buy the drinks."
  19. IC: "You mean the side that invaded the city and butchered every defenseless person they came across? No thanks," Verulas said, unsheathing his sword and resting it upon his shoulder. "I may be a merc, selling out my skills to whoever's willing to shell out enough widgets. I may be in a less than desirable mood all day long, oozing sarcasm that rubs everyone I meet the wrong way. And for the record, I do believe in killing my enemies so that they don't come back for me later. But killing people that can't fight back? That's lower than I'd ever go, and that's saying something." He sheathed his knife back on his leg before drawing back his cloak and pulling out the bag of widgets that he had took from her. "As for these," he said, bouncing them in his hand. "I'd happily give them up to never see your face again. Admit it; you hide behind Makuta because you're too weak to do anything by yourself, and it's pathetic. You aren't even worth enough of my time to be considered an enemy, let alone a threat."
  20. Not trying to be the bearer of bad news here, but I think that some of the hospital defenders/Outsiders did advance time to evacuate patients as well, so Silo's not the only one who did so. If I recall correctly, a day passed between moving people to the outpost from the hospital, and another passed when the refugees were all being loaded into the cable car. So if the siege is still on day one or so, technically none of the people from either one of those groups (including Mortem and possibly Dayeth as well) should be inside the city, which leaves us with one very large mess to sort out.
  21. Verulas, Enforcer, and Korero are currently near the building rubble with Dayeth, while apparently everyone else still fighting in this particular battle is with Mortem and Kakrant. I think.
  22. IC: Verulas shielded his eyes with his hand, feeling the air around them suddenly heat up as the Le-Toa extinguished the fireball. He turned to the Vortixx, shrugging as he picked up the bow and vaulted down the stairway as Korero leaped out the window. The Bo-Toa moved through the kitchen and kicked open the door, appearing on the other side of the rubble just in time to hear the Air-Toa's question. "I was actually wondering about that as well," he said, flipping his knife between his fingers before addressing the Ta-Matoran. "Didn't anyone ever teach you that you should share with your playmates? You and your Vortixx friend suddenly gaining new powers is personally starting to make me feel a little bit left out." His free hand grasped the hilt of his sword, preparing himself just in case she had decided to make another move.
  23. That is both cool and slightly disturbing.
  24. Yeah, I realised that I forgot him when I went to bring my dog outside. Here's the updated list. Good/Neutral: Enforcer, Verulas, Dastan, Rekhyt, Veneras, Razsk, Photu, KoreroEvil: Mortem, Dayeth, KakrantOthers in the general area, but not currently fighting: Kimala, Oreius, Gresak
  25. I thought it was three vs. seven, but yeah, I can see your point Nato. So much for this being a stealthy rescue mission... Good/Neutral: Enforcer, Verulas, Dastan, Rekhyt, Veneras, Razsk, Photu Evil: Mortem, Dayeth, Kakrant Others in the general area, but not currently fighting: Kimala, Oreius, Gresak Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
