  1. By those powerful characters I was thinking about the Piraka, but you're right, Lorax.
  2. For two reasons, I think. 1. This isn't the canon universe, it's a bit different. There are some canon characters, but they are played by the staff because they tend to be more important and powerful than normal characters 2. This RPG is about creating your own, unique character and interacting with other unique characters. Besides, it's much more fun to play with your own, special character(s)
  3. IC: The Champion (Nuju-Marion Hospital and Academy) I hear loud shots from nearby. Was it Enforcer? I'm not certain, but none of the defenders I saw hadn't fired anything. I glance at the grey Titan standing on the roof. Wearing a Kualsi, I see. Brilliant. I get out of cover, and start banging my shield rhythmically with my mace. There were six corpses scattered on the ground, and only the defenders seemed to remain. Let them notice me. I've been outnumbered before. Clang clang clang clang clang clang clangclang clangclangclang clangclangclangclang This banging helped me to get into a martial trance. I chanted quietly to myself, and could feel my blood starting to burn and the world fading away. Now, only my enemy remained, my mind focused on them. My muscles were tense, and I stopped clanging my shield, and kept moving towards the foe. I expected the Titan appear near me any moment, and attempt to strike me down.. I kept glancing at other enemies. The Iden-wearing ice Toa. The matoran on his Ussal crab. The crystal Toa on the roof. My shield and my mace were as ready as they could be. Let there be blood. OoC: Switched to first person IC: Dahkapa (Near the Main gate) "Surrender heathen, you're surrounded," the dark Toa said. I tried to stand up, ignore the pain. I glanced at Zekev and the Toa. Joskander was lying on the ground.. I collapse after a surge of pain. It hurts, so much. It burns and I can hear my flesh sizzling. Disgusting. I retch, and roll in the snow. Everything is fading.. so unclear.. Darknes.. comes.. Ko-Koro.. doomed.. I am consumed by darkness, and lose consciousness.
  4. IC: The Champion (Nuju-Marion Hospital and Academy) I nodded after hearing Enforcer's words. Surprise was a great advantage indeed. Suddenly, a hailstorm of bullets was unleashed from the top of the hospital building, and I lookedup. There was a female Toa. She created a sheet of crystal on the walls of the building, so I figured that she had the powers of crystal. Her mask was.. Akaku? No, Matatu, the Mask of Levitation. Aha, that's how she flung the bullets.. well, time to end that. I took my Elemental Energy Disruptor from my belt, aimed at the crystal Toa, checked that I was still unspotted, and pushed the button. The device would make the Toa unable to use her powers. I still have no idea how it works, but I really don't care. It has done it's job well over the years, and that's the only thing that matters. I put the device back in my belt. I couldn't use it again until tomorrow. Then I prepared my weapons, and sneaked closer to the hospital, ready to attack. I waitd for Enforcer to go first.
  5. IC: Danaar Kaas (Ta-Koro) It was finally complete. The prototype weapon. I wanted to call it "Danaar Rifle", but I'm starting to think that I shouldn't name all of my inventions after myself. So I decided to call it a 'hand cannon'. It was a large, shallow metal tube, with a small ignition hole on top. The rear end of the gun was blocked, the front end was open. It was time to test it. I went to the Charred Forest, which was as quiet and empty as usual. I loaded the cannon: some Danaar powder and a round, rock ball. This design was based on the broken, foreign rifle weapon I scavenged from a garbage dumb and on the Patero launcher. I had no idea if it actually worked, but at least my calculations said that it would. I still haven't remembered the exact composition of Danaar powder, and my supplies are running low. Luckily the powder is at least three times as powerful than Stralix powder, so I didn't need much of it anyway. I readied the hand cannon, and aimed at a nearby black tree. I lit a wooden stick on fire with my tinderbox, and slowly moved it into the ignition hole on the gun. BOOM I was pushed back by the explosion, and fell on my back. The tree I was aiming at exploded into splinters. "UNHOLY KARZ!" I shout. I didn't expect the explosion to be THAT big. Looks like I need to develop a smaller version: the recoil on this one is too much. The barrel of the cannon seems to have been fractured too. I need to continue development. Maybe create a version that doesn't need an external igniter, like that broken rifle? Back to the drawing board, I think.
  6. IC: The Champion (Nuju-Marion Hospital and Academy) Apparently Forger had made a deal with the attackers. This might not end well if reinforcements from other Koros arrive, but as long as no civilians would be harmed, I am fine with this. Except that I usually avoided taking jobs without some up front payment. And Zero was not going to be happy about this. I personally don't have any strict moral code. I've killed numerous people in my life, I've taken part in the sackings of defeated cities, and I steal sometimes. But I never touch any civilians unless they touch me first. I never understand, why victorious besiegers feel like they need to subdue the population by killing some of them. Civilians are not warriors, and I am paid to kill warriors. Now we were ordered to help with the evacuation. I will fight the defenders, but if anyone touches the civilians, they're doomed, and if the reinforcements turn up, I will switch sides, that's for sure. It has been a long time since I've been part of a mercenary organization, for the last few decades I've been working independently. But now, I had orders from the boss, and I was going to obey those orders, just like I did back in the day. The Rahi carried me to the hospital complex. I surveyed the battle. More than half a dozen attackers, only a few defenders. The most threatenting defender was the grey, gigantic warrior. He seemed like an interesting challenge, but a dangerous one. Other defenders: bronze Toa, black Skakdi, grey matoran on a giant crab.. this was going to be interesting. I jumped from the bird, dropped my backpack on the ground and readied my shield and mace. After a long time, it was finally time for battle. I walked to Enforcer and Forger. "So, change of plans I guess.. as long as we don't harm the civilians and let them escape, I'm alright with this. What's the battle plan?"
  7. IC: The Champion (Ko-Wahi) This decision is tough. If we help the attackers, we might get better rewards and the job might be easier, but I'm not too fond to help the side that will inevitably murder civilians, and who are likely to be seen as a threat by the rest of the island. If we help the defenders, the job will be much more dangerous, but there is a chance that the surrounding city-states have sent reinforcements, who could ariive at any moment. From what I had learnt from the weeks spent on ths isle, the city-states are more or less allies with each other. The reinfocements might be too late, however, for the city was falling at this very moment.. this decision truly is tough. I make my decision after a while, and start to speak calmly: "I say that we help the defenders. Wasn't the hospital complex a kio away from the city itself? The forces that are attacking the city itself will be busy crushing the last remnants of the city. The hospital isn't a high priority target, and reinforcements from other Koros might arrive at any moment. While the attackers might give us great short-term rewards, their faction is outnumbered. There are five other city-states on this isle. Long-term, it will be advantageous for us if we help with the evacuation. Besides, Zero told us to evacuate the populace, not to help butcher them."
  8. IC: Dakku (Ko-Wahi) The strangers asked about the condition of the Koro. The leader of the guards, sergeant Puikko, said: "When we left, the main gate had been breached and the Sanctum was in the hands of the enemy, and there was some fighting at the hospital. The Koro is lost, for the most part. Only the Nuju-Marion complex and our barracks are still in our hands, and we have begun evacuating the populace. I also heard that the prison was under attack as well, but I'm not certain if that's true. What else do you want?"
  9. IC: The Champion (Ko-Wahi) This was interesting. The Koro was falling, and instead of saving the civilians, we might be crushing the last resistance of the defenders. This was a tough decision, because if we help the first we will inevitably become the enemy of the second, and vice versa. But it was likely that the invaders would be ready to pay more. I said nothing, just listened the conversation between Judge and Enforcer. I was thinking of a way to gain maximum profit without really taking sides. "Follow," Enforcer said, and I obeyed. It was still a long way to Ko-Koro. Half an hour later, I see a large group of people trudging in the snow in the distance. My eye sight is not the best, but this group was rather large, and could be seen from far away rather easily. "Look," I said and gestured towards the distant group. "We should go talk to them" IC: Dakku (Ko-Wahi) Our group had been travelling for about thirty minutes. Judging by the position of the sun, we were heading south east, towards Le-Wahi. The sky had cleared, and the sun was shining. Maybe we had hope after all. Then, some guards who are escorting us prepare their weapons. A group of four people, coming down the snowy slopes. "Who are you?" the guards shouted. "At ease," came the response. I wasn't sure what to do. If they were enemies, they were outnumbered, luckily, but I still felt uneasy. One of the strangers, a dark blue Vortixx, asked who we were, and the guards responded, saying that we were refugees from Ko-Koro. They didn't seem to be enemies, which was a relief.. but I still had my suspicions. IC: The Champion (Ko-Wahi) I turned to look at Enforcer. "Refugees. What do we do? Should we let them go, and head to the Koro? Or should we escort them to safety? I don't know about you, but I think they can manage by themselves."

Unless you live in the Riverlands. Or the North. It's quite pleasant in Dorne, the Stormlands and the Reach, although the last one is being raided by the Iron Islanders. Still, not too bad.

  11. Just attack someone, make sure that the player notices (bold text or a PM) and give him a chance to dodge your attack, and you're off.
  12. Check the Wiki page, link is in one of my posts above.
  13. @Timageness Thanks for clearing up Kimala's affiliation. I'm going to keep Raaka in the defenders, because he is defending the city, and that's the only thing that matters. Celsakh is listed in neutral, althogh I might remove him from the entire list because he didn't do much. @Palm Check the Wiki page. I only want to update the list. All the names you listed are all there, including Pae, Jin and Nika, although they ae under 'The Legacy' section.
  14. So, I was looking at the Wiki article on the Ko-Koro Assault, and was somewhat disappointed that it still is outdated. I decided to update it myself. First, I will expand the events list a little. Not with little, trivial events, but with a few major ones. The breaching of the gate, the prison break etc. Next I decided to fully update the character list. I've collected a bunch of names that weren't there, but before I add them I ask you guys to tell me if they are correct (I'm not certain with some of them) and if I missed anyone. Here's the list: Defenders: Kellin and 'Cancer' Krayzikk Londar (Priicu. although he hasn't fought yet, he did send the letters) Gevenne Taleen Icha Kimala Jalkron Jornetar Brontes Joskander (A bit neutral, but he's helping out with the defence so i decided to put him here) Raaka Wraith Razsk(?) Attackers: (I didn't sort them to Makuta/Brotherhood groups) Dayeth Greisk Zolam(?) Xxeth(?) The Toa Shaydas: Onic, Chavara, Panyk Neutral (Unaffiliated) Celsakh (deceased) Verulas Arabeth(?) Joskander(?) Haarnak(?) Xxeth(?) The Outsiders: Forger Champion Enforcer Judge Tracer I'm not certain with some of these, so please, tell me if something's wrong. Later on I'll add this list to the Wiki page, you can freely edit this of cource, if you for example want to make a link to the character's wiki page or fix anything.
  15. OoC: I'm writing this on mobile. I still can't post regurarly, just so you know :/ Edit: Fixed color and fixed grammar/spelling IC: Dahkapa (Near the Main gate) He knew how vulnerable he was when he was lying on the ground, and did his best to get up as soon as possible. But he was too slow. He could feel something incredibly hot searing through his protodermic skin and the flesh beneath it in his back. He let out a scream full of suffering, and collapsed on the ground. The pain was paralyzing. Mata Nui help me, he thought. He did his best to ignore the pain, to keep on fighting. He couldn't let the Koro fall.. He struggled, tried to get up, but he couldn't. I've never felt as much pain.. uuaaargh.. He knew that his fate, his destiny, was in the hands of the enemy. OoC: Dartakh from Ta-Wahi IC: The Champion (Ko-Wahi) During the entire trek, I had been as silent as a rock. I simply nodded every now and then, and did everything I was asked to do. The sleigh ride had been.. stressful, but I didn't complain. We had traveled a long distance in a short amount of time, and that's the only thing that mattered. We had set up camp inside a cave, well protected from the biting, cold winds. I decided to take a short nap. I didn't sleep too deeply, so I started to dream about something that happened a long time ago. We had set up camp for the night. I was sitting next to Miira near a campfire. We were both drinking fine Bahlot ale, the local specialty. It tasted a little bitter, but I liked it. Both of us were careful to not drink too much. She was staring at the dancing fires, and I was staring at her pretty face. Somewhat scarred and worn, but I thought she was beautiful. Suddenly, she spoke, her glowing green eyes still fixed on the fire. "You know, I've been thinking about things.. some pretty deep things. About life." This was slightly off-putting. Usually she wasn't this serious. She loved to joke around, and she laughed a lot. "Our job is dangerous. Any of us could die at any moment. Me and you can both die in our next mission, who knows. But.. I was just thinking, that I want to leave behind a legacy, of some sort. Something that says 'Hello, I excisted and did a lot of stuff'. I just.. don't want to be forgotten. You know how I don't have a family, and that I can never get any children. Maybe.. if something happens to me," she turned to look at my eyes, "maybe you could make sure that something remains? Like a fancy memorial or something?" I was rather surprised to find out how deep her thoughts were. Somehow, that made me love her even more. "Sure, why not. Actually, I have an idea, a giant golden statue that perfectly captures your beauty? I think I could afford that in a few millenia." We both laughed. "Anyways, you shouldn't worry. If anything, I'll die first. You're a much better and more skilled warrior than I am" "No, skill doesn't matter. All it takes is a single nasty disease and it's over. But anyways, you shouldn't underestimate your own skill. You're only missing one thing: ability to focus. It's important to ditch your fears and simply concentrate on the fight. I've seen you fight when you're angry. That's when you focus, that's when you get the most kills. All you need to do is to learn to focus without anger. Then you'll be able to become the greatest fighter ever." After a moment of silence, I asked "Can you teach me to do that? You're not a trainer, I know, but.. I trust you, and you know me better than Gutter does. You could teach me well." "Sure," she said happily, "and I can teach you some other things as well, if you know what I mean." She winked and giggled. The mood was instantly lighter. I laughed. We were both a bit drunk, apparently. "Maybe we can start studying tonight, hehe.." And that's when Enforcer had to wake me up. I have seen that dream before a few times. I don't know why I see the same dreams over and over again. It is annoying.. I stood up, ate some rations and prepared to move on. We didn't have too much time. IC: Dakku (Near the Hospital) After some fighting had broken out in front of te hospital, the Sanctum Guard decided to evacuate us right now. I saw a glimpse of the fight. A grey titan, a grey matoran with an Ussal crab, a Ta-matoran.. and some others. It seemed dangerous, and I made sure to stay away from it. There was about fifty inhabitants, some familiar ones, grouped up near the entrance of the complex. I didn't have time to talk to anyone, because a group of guardsmen soon escorted us outside the complex. We went on a windy, rocky pathway, away from the Koro, followed by a few Kane-Ra who pulled wagons filled with food and hospital patients. I wondered where we were headed. Le-Koro, maybe, or Onu-Koro? I didn't know, so I just went along with the group, holding hands with my wife.
  16. For anyone whose character(s) is/are interacting with my characters, I won't be able to access the internet for the next few days probably, although I'm not sure. Just so you guys know :/
  17. IC: The Champion (Obsidian Outpost) I left the room, headed for my quarters. I would need to prepare my armour, and make sure the EED is working. As I was walking, I pulled out the map of the island I had bought from a matoran few days after my broken ship was washed ashore, and checked the location of Ko-Koro. Zero had said "Have fun time freezing to death", andI suddenly I remembered that Ko-Koro might just be in the middle of that large mountain range on the western side of the isle. My suspicions were confirmed to be true. Great, I thought, It will be wonderful to walk in the snow as the cold winds freeze my muscles and make me feel numb. I couldn't wait. After my armour was ready, and my backpack filled with rations and fresh water, I went to the docking area. It was empty, so I decided to wait for others.
  18. IC: Danaku Ran (Onu-Koro Prison) Pi-ra-ka.. "No, I don't. Who are they?"
  19. IC: Danaku Ran (Onu-Koro Prison) "Oh", he said, somewhat disappointed. "Does that gun you drew have any part in it?"
  20. IC: The Champion (Obsidian Outpost, Meeting room) I liked this 'Zero', whatever her actual name is. She was serious and certainly knew what we wanted. And she had a good idea for a job too, although it sounded somewhat dangerous. I'm also suprised that she isn't as hideous as most Skakdi.. But there was something abut her eyes that bothered me. When we first met, I looked into them for a while, and soon I got this nauseating feeling that I've always gotten when that cowardly Hakku tried to use his Kanohi Komau to control my mind. I looked away, and the feeling was soon gone.. but ever since I've made sure to keep my Boruhka helm with me and avoid making eye contact with her. [color0darkblue]It has been a long time since I killed or hurt someone with my mace. I was itching for battle, and I also wanted to prove myself for these people. I stood up, ignoring what she said about speaking in turn, and said "I volunteer for this mission. My combat skills will surely be useful". Then I waited for her response.[/color]
  21. IC: The Champion (Obsidian Outpost) I struck at the dummy with swift, precise but strong strikes. My mind purely focused on them. For me, the dummy represented a novice combatant, someone who spent too much time thinking about his actions, someone who was too stupid to bring a shield into close combat. A quick, but strong strike at his shoulder. Result: bruised fat and muscle, dislocated shoulder and possible bone fractures. The surge of pain would cause a temporary shock on the victim, making him lose focus on the combat. Use chance to strike at head or chest. Just when I raised my mace high in order to cave in his skull, I was interrupted by someone I didn't recognize, who told me that Zero was holding a meeting in the appropriately named meeting room. I hated to leave my training sessions unfinished, but this was more important. I didn't want to disappoint my new boss. I needed the money. I strapped my mace to my belt, and started to walk towards the place I needed to go to. Most of the space in the meeting room was taken up by a large, polished and shiny stone table and the very uncomfortable looking rock chairs around it. Zero was sitting quietly, lost in thought as she waited for us to arrive. There was someone else there as well, his name was.. Enforcer? Yes, that was it. I have gotten terrible at remembering people in the past few decades. I didn't even recognize the person who told me about this meeting, even if he felt familiar. But it was fine for me, because I didn't want to remeber anything about these people. Our job is dangerous, and anyone could die in their next mission. My numeous scars are a proof of this. It was a sign of a good mercenary not to form bonds with anyone, because they would certainly die at some point. Miira.. I closed my eyes for a moment, sighed, and sat down. While I waited for others, I planned my next training session. This time I would do it with a living person.
  22. IC: Danaku Ran (Onu-Koro Prison) To escape? Danaku was tempted by this. He could start a new life if he would be free. No need for memories, he could start over and find purpose in his life. This was very tempting to him. "Can you tell me more about this plan?" he asked with a curious voice. A glimmer of hope appeared in his mind.
  23. OoO! Awesome! Thanks for showing me! I'm going to check that Kini-Nui stuff now. EDIT: Haha, the battle against Makuta was awesome! And the region threads of 2011/2012 were about 500 pages long each! Ridiculous!
