  1. IC: Drift Drift looked up, finally glad that this show of idiocy was over. She'd have to give more respect to Palma from now on. In response to Flabbergaster's words, Drift simply flashed him a grim smile. "I'm not going anywhere." IC: Silver Yeah, right. He'd stall for a moment, then flip out and try to kill Silv- Before he'd even finished thinking, a bright white disc of ionized air was already sparking its way towards [Helix]'s neck. OOC: This is almost definitely a kill shot. Helix has pretty much no way of escaping it or counter-reacting in time.
  2. Arctic, I'd like to ask... did you miss the post where I had Silver threaten to shoot Helix's head off, or is he just naturally oblivious like that?
  3. Headache combo increased by 12.56 percent!
  4. IC: Drift No. This was just too much. This... plague of violence was everywhere, and she couldn't get away from it - not even in the infirmary. Drift buried her head in her hands, trying to get away from it all. Away from everything.
  5. IC: Drift "Unconscious. Hopefully Palma will get him back in shape in no time." Drift said, more to reassure herself than Kovinth. IC: Silver Back in the village, Silver heard rustling. Using his molecular disruption powers to slightly disrupt the ground under his feet to soften his steps, he made his way to the entrance of a blacksmith's hut. Peering in, he saw [Helix] looking over scavenged books and tools. Another Rahkshi. ######. "Drop everything! Turn around slowly, hands where I can see them!" he shouted, aiming White Lightning directly at the Rahk's head. "Or get your head sheared off."
  6. Smudge, come back please...

  7. Yeah, sounds good. I'll edit everything in. As for size, I don't think this is unreasonable. I'll probably have him seek out a smith or something.
  8. IC: Murder Murder had returned with most of the students, for once satisfied with all the pain she'd inflicted. A powerless silver Miru now hung at her shoulder, covered in a multitude of scrapes and blotches of dried liquid that suggested its previous owner hadn't wanted to part with it. IC: Eclipse and Pulse Eclipse spat in disgust. "Leaving already? I haven't scored a single kill since the old 'Zero' incident!" Nevertheless, he followed his younger brother back to the school. His hopes were still high for this 'Corpus'. IC: Silver Silver let out a long sigh of relief. They'd left. He shook his head to clear it, about to head back into the village. There had to be more survivors. And now, armed with White Lightning, Silver was sure no surprises would overtake him. IC: Drift Drift sighed dejectedly. "Yeah, that's what they say. Revolt. But what this new Makuta is doing is stupid. No matter what they did, words can solve every problem. Not everything has to be shut down with violence. Besides, the Matoran could have continued to be a valuable resource to... us." The word left a bitter taste in her mouth. Drift wasn't very sure she wanted to be affiliated with her own kind anymore, save Vlad and the others who'd helped save him. We can't be the only ones. Violence isn't a correct answer... right?
  9. I was thinking that, being shoulder armor, it would be realistic to assume that there was some sort of leather-type material coating its inside and edges. It's my fault I didn't clarify, so I can edit it in. Also, I didn't intend for it to be like an anti-metal forcefield - simply that, if a metal weapon touches it, the pauldron absorbs part of the impact and said weapon gets thrown back just enough to give the user room to get out of the way. I explicitly stated that the metal object has to come into contact with the armor, or nothing happens.
  10. IC: Drift Drift looked up at the newcomer wearily. "Conducting a massacre on a Matoran village. My... friend tried to stop them. Look where it got him."
  11. IC: Drift Drift carried Vlad gently to the infirmary, where she carefully deposited him on the bed. She was about to turn around and head for the Cloak of Umbra when she saw the overweight Rahk carrying it in. She nodded apologetically to him before sitting down, quietly, next to her friend. IC: Murder Murder unabashedly laughed at Gorast's words. Head home already? There was still so much fun to be had! She bounded out of the warehouse and began to scale its walls with her new weapons, hoping to find more Matoran to play with. IC: Silver Silver darted into a forgotten warehouse, searching for more survivors. He swept the entire building, hoping to find a Matoran or two, but came up with empty hands. He was about to leave when a flash of metal caught his eye - coming closer, he realized it was a heavily modified, compact Kanoka disk launcher. Engraved into its side were the Matoran letters White Lightning. Silver held up the surprisingly light weapon, searching for a handle or trigger, but found only a large cuff. He brought it up to his left wrist, just behind his armored gauntlet, and cuff closed around it. Without hesitation, Silver closed his fist. In addition to the usual hidden blade sliding out of his gauntlet, White Lightning hummed to life and released a bright white disc of energy that shot forward and through the walls of the warehouse. Epic. Silver grinned and exited the warehouse, darting back to the cover of the woods where he could plan his next move. IC: Eclipse and Pulse The duo made their way through ransacked storerooms, taking in every detail around them. Pulse's analytical mind told him where to find cover in case of an ambush - and where an ambush was most likely to come from. He relayed every thought to Eclipse, who nodded thoughtfully. They came across a discarded crate full of special weapons, but Eclipse was quick to kick it out of his way without a second glance. Pulse, however, reached into the spilled contents of the crate, feeling around until he pulled out a thin metal pauldron that would fit a Matoran. A few modifications will make it an easy fit for a small Rahkshi like me, he thought. Eclipse turned around to look at his brother's find, only to click his tongue disapprovingly. "How is this piece of trash better than the great big sword I offered you? Remember, the Rahkshi whose face we cut in half?" "Because no-one will expect to be killed by this piece of trash." "As always, brother, your words make sense." Eclipse chuckled, and they resumed their search. OOC: Silver has found White Lightning, a miniature Kanoka launcher that can launch discs of ionized air. Cooldown is approximately five-ten seconds, with another five seconds to generate another disc. Pulse has found an old piece of shoulder armor, Repulsor, that repels any metals that come into contact with it.
  12. IC: Silver The Matoran each grunted, in turn, as powerful blows connected with the backs of their heads. They collapsed within moments, and only a few minutes later they were tucked away in the hollow. Silver stretched out his back, breathing levelly. This was annoying, beating up helpless beings. He assured himself quietly that it was for his own good... ...and tried to hide from himself the fact that, somewhere deep deep down in his programming, he'd enjoyed it. IC: Drift Drift let out a long, deep sigh of relief. Vlad had foolishly risked his life to do the right thing, and it pained Drift she hadn't done the same. She bent down and reached to scoop him up, gently slinging him over her shoulder. "I've got this. I'll get him to safety. Don't... don't get in the way." she said to the overweight Rahk with an unusual and out-of-place sharpness replacing the usual kindness in her tone. She stepped past him and continued stoically to the infirmary.
  13. IC: Drift Drift followed behind Ivan restlessly, only letting out a breath when she spotted Vlad. With renewed vigor, she bounded up to him and shook him, checking if he was alive. This was the second time that day that this was happening. "Vlad... Vlad, please be okay..." she muttered, her faceplate creased with worry.
  14. IC: Drift Drift nodded to no-one in particular before following the bat, silently musing at the Rahi's loyalty to his friend. I need to get a pet sometime.
  15. IC: Drift Drift grit her teeth and began to scale back up the chasm when she heard a squeaking coming from above her. She looked up and instantly recognized Ivan, quickening her pace before reaching the top. She ran up, panting, to the ice bat. IC: Pulse and Eclipse Pulse was silent as he followed his older brother to Nynrah. They transformed from flight mode and landed, skidding a little, on the village's territory. Eclipse's trained feet connected deftly to the ground, springing him instinctively back up into a run. Pulse followed close behind, not missing a beat. "Well... we're late."
  16. I heard you've got... a Decaf fixation.

  17. IC: Silver There. A couple more Matoran, heading for the cover of the trees. Silver bounded towards them, snarling loudly to herd them in the direction of the makeshift shelter. They cowered and ran, stumbling over branches and fallen logs. IC: Murder Murder gleefully dispatched another squad of Matoran, shoving her claws into the chinks in their natural armor. She discarded the bodies and headed deeper into a storeroom where another one was bunkered up. He let out a shout and fired from a mounted Zamor launcher. It was awkward and crooked, and she easily ducked out of the way, grinning. She strode up casually before quickly thrusting two fingers through the eye-holes in his mask, sending him reeling. She reached into a nearby trove, hoping to find an explosive she could detonate the building with, but instead found what appeared to be two metal shells. She pulled them out curiously, suddenly realizing that they were grooved to fit over her hands. She put the Bloodclaw Gauntlets on, smiling at the blind and screaming Matoran. A quick strike to the neck brought him out of his misery. OOC: The more damage Bloodclaw Gauntlets do, the sharper they grow. This effect disappears over time.
  18. Is it too late to retcon Eclipse to be from the same Makuta as Mantis?
  19. OOC: I'm back... for now. IC: Silver Silver dashed further through the woods, away from all the carnage. This had no meaning at all. His former thirst for adventure and rebellion had been replaced with a desire to help make things right. He slid behind a tree, turning and watching. Nearby, he saw a Matoran, his eyes wide with fear. The small being lifted his hands up in defense, backing away slowly until he bumped into a tree. "Don't worry, I won't hurt you," Silver whispered, stepping closer to the Matoran. His quarry shouted something loud enough to be heard over the clang of weapons in the village himself. Silver cursed and growled at him, grasping the Matoran roughly by the wrist and started to tug him further into the trees. He only prayed he wasn't noticed as he gently thrust the pommel of his staff at the Matoran's head, knocking him unconscious. He dragged the prone body into a hastily-carved hollow in one of the trees, covering it up with a thick blanket of leaves. He looked around, making sure he wasn't noticed, before starting off in a wide arc around the village, trying to find more fleeing Matoran. NPC: Kurahk and Lerahk Krurahk grunted, delivering another punch to his victim, a lanky Lerahk. A large dent now streaked across the green Rahkshi's face. Kurahk grinned, about to deliver the finishing blow, when he was roughly lifted off of the ground. He struggled, but couldn't do anything against the iron grip. His attacker gently brought a hand to the white Rahk's collarbone, almost soothing. Suddenly, a sharp spasm of pain exploded through Kurahk's body as a finger was pressed hard into his Kraata case. Eclipse dropped the Rahkshi disgustedly before stepping over him and looking deep into Lerahk's eyes. "Where is Nynrah?" He snarled threateningly. Pulse stepped out from behind him and helped Lerahk up, making sure to avoid his poison. The green Rahkshi didn't know what to feel - gratitude or even more fear, so he did the smart thing and filled the two in on everything he knew about Nynrah. "It's not much, but it's enough," Pulse said as they made their way towards the causeway.
  20. OOC: Leaving for Ukraine now. Won't be available the next few days, so I'm putting all my dudes on a short hiatus. Johnrahk has my permission to bunny Drift 'til I return. Bye! IC: Silver Silver almost allowed himself a smile. Almost. He'd trained long and hard with it and expertly slid it out of range in one smooth motion. He backed away, looking at where the Matoran - oh, Karz. They were dead already. Silver grunted. He didn't want to abandon the cause, but he knew when he was outnumbered. He backed away, tearing into a sprint and into the forest. IC: Murder Murder gleefully tore into two unfortunate Matoran, grinning and screaming.
  21. IC: Silver Silver mentally cursed himself over and over, but that didn't detract from his alertness. He sprung backward, sliding a couple of feet even closer to the Matoran. They shrieked and started to run in a different direction. Bad move, but what were they to know? He swung his own weapon off his shoulder and into his hand, sending pulses of molecular disruption through his staff and getting into a defensive guard. He would fight Shark on his own, but as soon as the others arrived he would be greatly outmatched.
  22. IC: Raptor Raptor slouched in the corner of the room, deep in thought. He nodded to Acinaces. "You can take him to this Palma you speak of. I'm... not ready."
