  5. Well, there is a street date on them, so the clerk was probably trying to keep from getting caught handing them out early.
  6. Found Tahu today at the same Target I found the other ones. For some reason, there were 2 Tahus hidden away in a different aisle from the LEGO aisle. I stumbled upon them because my missus was looking at the discount Christmas stuff!
  7. Well, you have to understand that this generation has grown up with a very different idea of LEGO as a whole. When BIONICLE first launched, there was no TV show to accompany it, whereas now kids are used to shows like Chima and Ninjago to give them a storyline basis for wanting a toy or play set. BIONICLE, once again, has no such TV show and in order to get the story, they'll have to do actual work on looking up videos and bios and such. I believe that the big challenge here is to get across exactly WHAT Bionicle is without making children search too hard for the answers.
  8. Some CT updates: Wal-Mart in Milford and Shelton: nothing Target in Trumbull (Westfield mall) has 3 Kopaka, 1 Lewa, and 1 Pohatu left after my purchases today. They also have 2 each of the protectors, and 2 or 3 LOSS. I put as many as possible together in one spot, but as of now, the BIONICLE toys have no designated spot and are being placed randomly around the LEGO aisle to fill space. Good luck!
  9. Target in Trumbull, CT for anyone local who is looking for them. Plenty of Pohatu, Kopaka, Lewa, LOSS, and protectors left.
  10. Snagged myself Pohatu and Lewa today. 3 Toa down, 3 to go!
  11. Really was looking for Tahu, but I could only find Pohatu, Kopaka, and Lewa. I was gonna get Lewa, but my wife though Kopaka was much cooler looking, so we settled on the master of ice. Not a bad choice, either, I love him already!
  12. Found all six protectors and Toa Lewa(2), Pohatu(2), and Kopaka(4) today. Snagged myself a Kopaka because he looked the coolest on the shelf.
  13. God, that shot of Tahu putting on his mask and "activating" his colors was what pulled me in as a BIONICLE fan. After seeing that, I had to know more about the "toa" and how their powers worked.
  14. Checked 2 wal-marts and 2 Targets today and found nothing! The stores were still getting out all of last wave's power rangers and WWE stuff anyway, so I figure they'll do a huge clean out now before Christmas and then load up all the new toys after, like Bionicle. This is in Bridgeport/Trumbull/Fairfield CT, for anyone local.
  15. I have seven bookcases filled with action figures of various genres and a wall full of MOSC/MISP action figures (been collecting many years). I use a swiffer duster on the sealed toys and for the bigger loose toys, but to dust the smaller stuff without disrupting the displays, I used canned air. They sell it at Wal-Mart for fairly cheap and it works great for cleaning dust off toys and toy shelves. DO NOT put your toys through the dishwasher. The heat could melt them pretty easily.
  16. Wow, that's really stern. I'm not sure how well LEGO keeps to street date, but the other toylines that I collect are usually out by Black Friday. It sucks that LEGO are adament about keeping this to New Years, but i'm hoping some retailer just goes ahead and releases them early. Yes, it's selfish, but I want my BIONICLE toys, dang it!
  17. Heck yeah, if love to see some new McTorans. If it weren't for these little guys, I never would have even started collecting BIONICLE, so I'd LOVE to see them make a return. 18. I'm in it for the sets. I always found the BIONICLE story very difficult and often times pointless to follow. It could be different with this new set, perhaps LEGO takes the series a bit more seriously. Anywho, what drew me back to BIONICLE as an adult has been the designs of the new figures, I just flat out love them. I'm definitely in this for the toys themselves and can't wait to display the new with the old.
  19. I'm kinda stuck. I want Tahu because he was my first and my favorite, but Kopaka looks amazing. Hopefully these are out before Christmas so I can just ask my wife to get me one and I'll get the other for myself, hehe.
  20. Went to McDonald's with my best friend and we got happy meals. The featured toys that month were the Matorans. We didn't really "get" what Bionicle was until a little while later he got some Nesquik (?) cereal and it came with a disc containing a Bionicle video and the song "radio girl". We were hooked after that. I ended up getting Toas Tahu, Pohatu, and Onoa, while he got Kopaka, Lewa, and Gali.
  21. Hm, I haven't bought BIONICLE since 2005? I haven't bought anything LEGO since maybe 2008, but I did get some Power Rangers Megabloks stuff a couple of years back. Anyway, i'm 24 and love collecting action figures. This new BIONICLE line is my first time getting excited for a new toy line in years, so I am all in and excited. Now to find some room in my man cave without the wife yelling at me, lol.
  22. I'm so excited. I haven't bought anything BIONICLE in so long, but I heard about the revivial and lost my mind. I've been going back through the wiki and old comics, refamiliarizing myself with the brand in anticipation for these toys to come out. I haven't been this excited for a toyline since Power Rangers RPM, haha.
