  1. IC:

"Well, Guvla, Visalk, Lumira, we should probably start searching for the other four Toa, assuming Lumira here won't suddenly grow up to Toa form."

    OOC:

Can Lumira become a Toa? I mean, if you wanted him to.

  2. I thought theories proposed in S&T require some proof, hence why Gen2 theories have been thin on the ground. Wild Mass Guessing is "Perhaps the Prototype Robot is a Scientific Exploration Gundam, sent off to find other worlds, then when it crashed on Spherus Magna, gave the GBs the idea to try their own."

To which someone will inevitably Joss, then dig up an obscure throwaway line.

  3. I like the idea. I think it doesn't matter if it's aimed at kids. It can still have a well-crafted story with immense shades of grey and tints of gray.

As long as we don't have the quality of voice acting found in MoL, we'll have a pretty good amount of potential.

"TAKUA! TAKUA! What are you doing here alone? You're supposed to be at the kohlii match..."

  4. So, I read TV Tropes more than is healthy. Most every page has a WMG page, including Bionicle. Of course, editing any page on TVT is a convoluted process, so I want to make a WMG for Gen2 on BZPower.

Just post any wild theories you have here. Circumstantial evidence is always welcome.

    Here's mine:

    Makuta is the good guy.

We only ever hear the story from Ekimu's perspective. Makuta comes off as petty, jealous and completely irreverent to the most sacred laws. But really? Ekimu is Makuta's brother! I'd be proud of my brother, even if I wasn't as good as him.

But, as always, history is always written by those in power. Ekimu may have twisted the general perspective of Makuta, while doing something very evil! Heck, maybe Ekimu had a bad case of Dume Syndrome, was replaced by a greater power and Makuta built the MoUP to defend against it. It backfired, twice, and resulted in said evil being sealed away for good.

"I found this this stone tablet upstairs it says something about an Invasion of Ko something and seben toa meeting here. In this appartment building." He says giving Lumira the tablet, " Or at least I think it does."

    IC:

"Well," Halyx said, "we've got two Toa of Fire, one Toa of Water and a Le-Matoran here. And what was that about Ko-something, right? Ko-Wahi, Ko-Koro, what?"

  6. IC Halyx:

"To be honest," Halyx began shifting uncomfortably, "I'm a Toa of Fire with no memories other than this pocketwatch. If I figure out what Ta-Matoran have gone missing, I might be able to get my memories back."

    OOC:

My plot engine needs some fuel, apparently.

  7. Yeah, I've been seeing a ton of MOCers using Furno's head in place of a mask. I personally don't care for it, but it certainly works in a jiffy. Still, I would probably get another red mask to replace it as soon as possible.

As for everything else, good job! I'm one of the few people who doesn't mind the Inika build, so these are extra awesome for me!

  8. I mean that the Gold masks have the original Mata powers; Golden Fire=Hau, etc. etc. We won't know till the TV series comes out.

As for Gali breathing underwater, look at the comic on the back of Gali's box. It looks like they're spending a lot of time underwater without resurfacing.

  9. If there was one thing I had hoped for, it was a society where all tribes (because as a necessity there will of course be multi-colored beings for the sets, so grouping them into tribes follows suit) would be living together and intermingle.

The literal lines drawn on Okoto assumedly throw that out of the water unfortunately. :/

So I guess that just leaves the gender ratios. Let the colors mean nothing in regards to that.

    ~|ET|~

If we decide that the new Matoran-equivalents CAN reproduce, that means evolution could be in full effect. Certain groups of Matorans used to intermingle, but when the island gained those literal boundaries surrounding each biome, the tribes became isolated and as such, genetics took over and adapted each tribe to be better suited to it's enviroment.

Admittedly, if evolution was in full effect here, then the warmer climates would have lighter colors while the colder climates would have darker colors, but then again, humans don't work like that, so what do I know?

Of course, this theory will need equal gender ratios for the Matoran-alikes. Lego, are you hearing me?

  10. IC:

Halyx followed the Toa as she led him towards an apartment. He could've sworn there was someone behind him, whispering gibberish in his ear, but he brushed it off as the sound of the wind.

    OOC:

Turns out, getting hit in the head with red lightning isn't good for your health.

  11. I agree with your first point, but for your second point, I mean that if we get a new Vakama set, he'll get back his Huna, but Tahu will still have his Fire mask.

And nostalgia? What nostalgia? I don't have nostalgia! Heh heh heh... Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to finish my 5ft tall MOC of the Mata Nui robot, complete with custom gear action and hollow interior spher-I mean... do homework.

  12. IC:

"A Toa of Fire, eh?" Halyx hoped that whoever this mysterious Toa was, he'd be able to find something pertaining to Halyx's past. "Sure! Why not. Lead the way, Guvla." He still felt that hunch in the back of his mind, but thought nothing of it.

    OOC:

If you couldn't guess, Halyx doesn't completely trust Guvla. For her sake, let's hope he doesn't act on it >:D

  13. So, if you've noticed, the Masks of Power are rather bland. There's a Mask of Fire, Water, Jungle, etc. etc.

But then there's the Masks of Creation and Control, which aren't elemental.

So, here's my theory. Other teams of Masters have different mask abilities. The Protectors all probably have the "noble" form of a certain type of mask (perhaps this gen's equivalent of a Kanohi Hau) and the Golden Masks each contain different mask abilities akin to those of the original masks (though I'd assume that the Golden Jungle and Golden Water masks don't have levitation and water-breathing, since Lewa can already fly and I'll bet you that Gali can already breathe underwater)

When Wave 2 comes out with whatever new Toa we'll be seeing, they'll probably go back to whatever mask they were using in Gen 1. I suppose the only reason to have an elemental mask is to enhance your natural powers.

    What do you think?

  14. I'll throw my hat into the LEGO bin. Earth, Iron (and all metal, really) and Stone should be merged into Earth (because all these elements make up the lithosphere) and given to Onua, Lewa should get Jungle and Pohatu should get Air. Plasma, as an element, should be regarded as any plasma that ISN'T fire.

    But that's just my idea.

  15. IC:

"Well, thanks." Halyx knew something was up, but brushed it off as a baseless hunch. "Say, have you heard of any missing Ta-Matoran in the past couple of days?"

    OOC:

I haven't seen MoL in a while, but didn't most of the Matoran and Toa in that film have English accents? Also, what kind of British accent does Guvla have? English, Scottish, Cockney? I'll assume English, but it'd be funny to hear a Bionicle character go "Oi, me mask's bun knocked uff by a blimey Bow-rock!"

Also, here's my plot engine; Amnesia. Cliche, yes, but effective.
