    I've got something I hate to admit, but I'm at my wit's end and need help, so here goes...
     
    I will be at BrickFair VA this year, as several of you already probably know/assumed, and I've already got travel and hotel arrangements taken care of, but there's one thing that I haven't done yet.
     
    I, uh... I haven't actually registered for the con yet.
     
    YES I KNOW, I need to register/pay by the 14th, and I will, but I've been stuck on one minor detail: deciding what to put on my Brickbadge bricks.
     
    For the past couple years, I put my real name on one brick, and my username on another. This was dumb, because now I have two completely identical badges aside from the year number. This time around, I want to put custom text (not my name) on both bricks.
     
    Since I've been drawing a blank for the past month straight, anyone have any brick text suggestions? (max. 24 chars/brick)
     
    I'd be eternally grateful for any help. :C
     
    Update: Thanks for all the suggestions so far! I've got one brick figured out, but I'm thinking I want a Bionicle-specific reference on my other one. I could do something like "UNITY ▪ DUTY ▪ DESTINY", but that seems like it might be too simple/obvious. Anyone have any better ideas (Or think I should go with UDD)?

    Take a wild guess who's officially registered for BrickFair.
     
    Yep, you guessed it!
     
    Takuma Nuva!
     
    And guess who our very own Evil Blog Master is going to be bringing with him to BrickFair!?
     
    That's right, HIS COUSIN! (Man, you're so good at this)
     
    Okay fine, I'll stop with the fake-outs and make my announcement:
     
    I've just officially registered and paid for BrickFair!
     
    I'll actually be hopping on Takuma's train when it stops through my area, hanging out with him all the way to BrickFair, and even splitting a hotel room 'cause he's just that awesome.
     
    This'll be my first time to BrickFair, so any tips from longtime attendees? Like how do I even mentally prepare for this level of amazing???

    Many of you already knew I wasn't gonna let BrickFair VA 2013 pass me by, I just wanted to drop by and let you guys know that as of THIS MINUTE, the last details of my trip have been finalized and paid for!
    If you're anywhere remotely near the DC area and are free on August 3rd or 4th, BE THERE (early) OR BE SQUARE.
     
    Oh, and on an unrelated note, I just noticed the other day that my 10th anniversary here on BZPower was this past July 7th! I was planning to wax poetic about how much this site has affected me in positive ways and given me such an awesome group of lifelong friends, but I kinda did that already on my 2012 retrospective.
     
    At least I have a Tohu spinny and you don't, neener neener.

    So one year ago on March 29th, Takuma Nuva convinced me to watch Episode 1 of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I then went on to watch five more episodes that night. That was the night I became a brony.
     
     




    I did not get a healthy amount of sleep that night.


     
    In the past year, I've bought pony merch, helped out a bit with several brony collabs and projects, and I even got to meet up IRL with a brony in my area for coffee! (He even gave me an amazing hand-carved woodwork Fluttershy!)
     
    So, in celebration of an entire year filled with pony, I've decided to face my fears and upload a complete vocal cover I recorded of The Flim Flam Brothers Song. Enjoy!

    Anyone here remember playing this on Lego.com way back in the day? Crazy to think it was over 10 years ago since it launched; less than a year after Bionicle started!
     
    Several fond memories:
    That one guy with the pointless three-question movie trivia
    Running around delivering coffee to the movie crew
    Spotting Takua in the Commissary (!!)
    Being a stunt double, jumping across crocodiles
    Falling off catwalks
    ALL THE GLITCHES

    So yeah. Good times.
     
    Oh yeah, and guess what?
     
    IT'S STILL PLAYABLE. WHY, LEGO, WHYYY???
     
    Protips:
    - If the first area is all glitched out and invisible for you, resize the window and it should fix it.
    - Never hit the Escape key, it freezes the game.
    - Hold Z to run (So much better than walking everywhere!)
    - If you played a long time ago, your save file probably still works! Try logging in and hitting Continue.

    As I've mentioned elsewhere in posts and comments, I'm hoping to attend both BrickFair and Bronycon this year due to their relatively close proximity to each other and being on consecutive weekends.
     
    (For reference, BrickFair is July 29 - August 2, Bronycon is August 7-9).
     
    Here's the problem. Should I fly home after BrickFair and then fly back for Bronycon, or do I try to stay somewhere in the DC/Baltimore area all week until the end of Bronycon, and then fly back home?
     
    If I stay the whole 2 weeks, I don't know what to do or where I should stay in the days between BrickFair and Bronycon. Should I reserve extra days at the Holiday Inn post-BrickFair and just chill at a hotel the whole time, or should I get to the Baltimore Hilton early and stay for a few days prior to Bronycon?
     
    Or, heck, is there anyone who lives in the area who's attending both cons who I might be able to stay with for a couple days and then hitch a ride to the Baltimore Hilton? That would save me so much hassle (and money o_o).
     
    As of right now I haven't actually purchased any reservations or plane tickets because I'm not sure how this will all pan out, but reservations for both cons are running out and plane ticket prices are going up, so I need to figure this out pretty dang quick. If I have to make a decision to only attend one, I'll pick BrickFair.
     
    Sorry for the rambling. Any help or advice would be immensely appreciated.
     
    Edit: I should also mention, regarding BrickFair: Please PM me if anyone's looking to save some money and either has space available or would like to share a 2-bed hotel room at the con. I should have space available.

    Yep, that's right, I stole Laughin'Man's blog's old theme! (With permission, of course. )

    So, yeah, I'm pretty much a huge Tally Hall fan. Hence my blog theme change, and my avatar and signature change. I've had plans to do this for a long time, but due to procrastination/indecision (remember last post? ), I didn't get around to it until now.

    For those of you who don't know, Tally Hall is a rock band that was formed in Ann Arbor, Michigan in '02, and since then they've become fairly successful, though not yet a household name. Their signature outfits are white shirts with different colored ties, depending on the band member. Their songs are pretty upbeat and catchy, and sometimes very random (in a good way, at least to me), and I've been told they sound a little like the Beatles in some songs. (Beatle-lovers on BZP, I'm not saying they are the same, nor am I saying I think Tally Hall is better. )

    So I ask you this, BZPers-who-are-actually-reading-this-obscure-blog, have you ever heard of Tally Hall? Have you ever heard a song by them? One music video they made for a school project way back then showcased their song "Banana Man," and became very popular online, so you may have heard that.

    If you are a fan of Tally Hall as well, by all means let me know! (Minus Laughin'Man, who I made a fan. )

    As some of you may know, I try to carve a geeky/video-game related/pony Jack-o'-Lantern every year for Halloween.
     
    The problem is, tomorrow is Halloween, and I still haven't picked out a pattern to carve this year! Anyone have any ideas?
     
    I don't have any particularly nice tools (just cheap plastic saws from dollar store kits), and I'd prefer not to have any shaved/thinned parts as I found out they don't light up well with just a candle inside. I'd like to do another pony-themed pattern this year, but video game ideas are fine too.

    After searching about 3 stores yesterday, I FINALLY found one with the new sets! I got Toa Onua (Who is awesome), and Takanuva (WHO IS EXTREMELY AWESOME). =P
     
    Yesterday I played for a long time on Pirates Online, and I even recruited a couple BZP members for it in the past couple days! At this point, our Guild (club) contains:
    David Wavetamer (me) Michael Wavetamer (my brother who stole my last name. =P) Samuel Goldrage (DudeNuva) Sven Lockshot (Torhuki) Takuma Darkblade (Takuma Nuva) Laughing Man (you know who this is.     Well, at any rate, I found a design! Some of the details were extremely difficult, because my brothers somehow managed to break all of our pumpkin carving tools on their pumpkins, so all I had to work with was a dull steak knife and a small screwdriver.
