Gotta get things done again, even if it's some stupid little story in the Library. This place was a great stress release for me, and I need it again definitely.

Went from one job to another to another in the span of three weeks, and just facing that grand ole uncertainty about the future.

What's next for this here site? Another story? The BZPRPG? I don't know.

Maybe both, just overwhelm myself again. Seems like a great idea to me.

While I'm not too pleased with the idea of a flush of Star Wars movies(my poor wallet), this one does look interesting. I hope it can provide more light on the origins of the Rebellion in movie versus the books and comics.

Also, running at AT-ATs? Do you want to die? Obviously.

So read the storyline for Bionicle, 2001-2004(?)....this is what I got from it.

Makuta is jealous of Mata Nui and slips him some sleeping pills, and the island of Mata Nui is supposedly made cold and crops don't grow(wheat? Corn? They don't say.). Anyways, the Turaga, the old ones, get Takua to summon the Toa Mata from the heavens to show up and kick Makuta butt. Turns out falling from the heavens makes you forget everything, even your name.

They recover, they kinda beat Makuta, and then they have to deal with the beetle infestation. Bohrak or whatever, cool in theory. Turns out they are ruled by some queens, and after getting a robot-suit powerup(which they ditched? What was the point again??), the queens are defeated, all is good.

Makuta then released beetles 2.0, they do better, but turns out human greed even works on beetles and they get killed. Toa also get a super-hero upgrade after a quick swim.

Turns out there's gonna be a 7th Toa, and after a ridiculous trip across the island and the introduction of some taller beetles, there's a big fight with hockey sticks and Makuta is defeated for good. Supposedly. Mata Nui is supposed to be woken up or something. I still don't get how Takuanuva is brought back to life. He's the Toa of Light. There's an problem there.

Also, they didn't mention the fact the island is sitting on the face of a giant action-figure??

Yeah, beating a dead horse but I'm still not over what FO:4 should have been. Could have been. Graphics were great, I loved the settlement building(but I think they should have cut down on the amount of settlement locations...), the Gunplay was great, but other then that....it kinda sucked. Period.

Ah, oh well. Can't have a good thing all the time.

    Early December.

    Know what that means, right?

That means the selection of 24 participants is going to be announced soon for a Civic Leadership school in Washington D.C. Yours truly, Atlas, is one the many that entered and submitted an essay(for a topic that will not be discussed here.).

I am on the edge of my seat. Wish me luck.

Saw three films recently, Arrival, Logan, and LEGO Batman.

Gotta say, all three really blew my expectations out of the park and were fantastic films.

Arrival was one of the best Sci-Fi films I have seen in a long time. You know why? It has a lot less to do with "DIE ALIEN SCUM" and more with actually just communication. It was fascinating and I loved it so much. The big reveal at the end and how it all played out just made it perfect. Definitely recommend seeing it.

Logan was very good, a better representation of the character on the screen like he is in most comics. The language use was slightly off putting because it was like he was just given permission to swear so they wanted to use it as much as possible, haha. Other than that, the characterization was excellent as always from Hugh Jackman. Minor issue with the plot tho; I've read Old Man Logan, the comic it is based off, and the way Logan decides to hang up being a superhero is SOOOOOO much better and deeper and darker(not saying it being darker makes it better necessarily, but it works for what happened to him.) than what is shown and implied in the movie. Not as gripping, I thought.

LEGO Batman. Near perfection. Jokes were great, references to Batman's long publication history, and all the supporting characters made it a top contender for film of the year and it's only April. Just saying.

No, this isn't a place to discuss recent, but unfortunate events. No, this isn't an attack on the great staff we are lucky to have. These are four rules I've created for myself, over my time as a moderator(s) and even once as an Admin of various sites. And I feel I should share them.

    1. Be respectful. Always. Even when emotions run high, don't attack. It's not worth it, and it doesn't help anybody. Give the staff your respect, and if they are worth their salt, they'll return it.

    2. Be accountable. When you make a mistake, break a rule, or insult somebody, own up to it. If your pride is so big you can't do that, you have other issues. Coming clean the first time, every time is the right thing to do and it saves everybody's time.

    3. Be forthcoming. Don't let an issue sit and boil with another member until it explodes. If you have a problem, talk to a staff member about it. The longer you let it sit, the bigger the explosion will be. Somebody will be hurt, somebody may leave, and nobody wants that. Don't let it happen.

    4. Be honest. You can lie and hide, but the truth comes out over time. And it's never pretty. When asked by staff anything(except obviously, that which is personal or degrading(common sense!).), be honest. Saves time and it's respectful.

I've learned these over...oh, several years now. Good rules to live by, and good rules for online. I just felt like I needed to share them, as a small reminder given the current mood.

Again, this isn't to discuss recent events and this isn't an attack against the staff. This is just me, feeling like the site could use this reminder.

Like always. He sits at the door to my room, screaming and crying because my pig won't let him into the room. Then my pig sometimes chases him away to great noise and event.

Needless to say, this makes writing, or doing anything, a hard task.

Plenty of material in the Toy lore to make fun of, twist, and make ridiculous. Heck, some of it is already pretty ridiculous(Planet gets shattered, into two perfectly sized moons that take all the jungle and water with it? RIIIIIGHT.).

Of course, I am a romantic. If I'm going to write something longer than a short story, I'm going to interject romance into it one way or another(This, coming from the guy that's fallen hopelessly in love with his best friend(and can't even tell her(long story.).). What kinda romantic pairs are popular between the characters? I've seen LewaxGali and VakamaxNomaka(?) with my browsing.

Any good comedies to read anyways, period, while we're on this topic?

Second Interview went amazing, the guy told me that I was one of the best people he's ever interviewed, and they would let me know Monday.

They called Tuesday, and told me that THEY WEREN'T INTERESTED IN EMPLOYING ME. They said I was overqualified for the position, and they had no management positions open.

    I was applying for a starter-position.

Gather 'round ladies and gents, because it has come to my attention that nobody has been giving you poor chaps regular safety briefings.

    That, that is a crime.

Here's a simple one for you to start off with:

When you are about to head out to volunteer to run a parking lot for 500+ cars for a classic car show, do not grab the bottle of expired sunblock to use. Grab the bottle of new stuff, even if it says it only lasts for 3 hours, versus the 6 for the expired one. Because it won't matter at the end, when your entire neck and face is blistered and burnt from 7 hours of work.

That's your safety briefing. Thanks for listening.
