  1. IC: Reliable Narrator | Onu-Metru Atamai guessed correctly. The morphing organism they desperately kept at bay extended down the hall away from the party with their new krahli ally. The Archivist in the group hadn't seen this kind of organism before, but guessed it might be some kind of colony or mutating virus. And in Vashni's mind, the speaker replied to her offer of aid: We're too strong. We can't let go. We're scared. Please...
  2. The Ripple is far south of the SIlver Sea, in a water gate past the island of Destral and it's habitation sphere.
  3. IC: Reliable Narrator | Onu-Metru Vashni's question received a haunting answer as the voice shrieked; I can't let go! Whatever communicated with Vashni on the psionic plane was deeper down the hall past the writhing mass.
  4. Hi everyone! Since Crimson Jester and EmperorWhenua solved the Ko-Metru disc puzzle I thought I'd explain it for those who are interested. All puzzles for great discs are of a similar level of complexity, with varying amounts of steps, as this puzzle. Objective: open the frozen door and collect the disc hidden on the other side. How to solve: open with at least two characters Clues: "In Unity, Wisdom" written on the plinth below the floating door coated that's frozen shut with a coating of ice. This suggests players unite to discover Ko-Metru's wisdom. The door is frozen shut with a coating of ice. The door is floating 30 feet directly above the plinth. Most matoran cannot reach this height or jump from the walls such a distance. The notes of the deceased matoran offer three valid discs to use in solving the puzzle, and two that are very bad ideas. The digits graffitied on the plinth tell the power type and minimum level needed for kanoka, but the circle with three towers scribbled next to them suggests all discs must be from Ko-Metru. The weaken disc is for breaking the ice off the door. The enlarge disc is for the plinth. If the door grew, it would be too heavy to push open. The reconstitute disc could also be used on the ice.The frozen water would reconstitute into vapor. Setting information Someone tried and failed already, giving a sense of danger. They carried only a reconstitute at random disc. They were not alone in their attempt, but were abandoned as the Frost Beetles finished molting. The molted shells belonged to a clutch of Frost Beetles who moved out after molting from pupa to adulthood. The unknown hieroglyphics on the walls are a prophecy still uncovered. … And that's the gist of the puzzle! Any questions? I look forward to getting to explain more puzzles soon.
  5. Hey everyone! I've been loving your posts and enjoying the stories we're all telling. Something I've noticed creeping in is a general level of destruction towards matoran. While I have no problem with NPCs being eliminated, I would suggest keeping in mind the effects that kind of mass conflict has on your character's sense of self. Does this change them? Love you all, I'll post more as I can! So excited as we've landed in February now and the game is pulling full steam ahead!
  6. IC: Reliable Narrator | Ga-Metru Informant’s duplicate heard shuffling as the two matoran entered Vhisola’s apartment. Keys jangled as they were hung on a hook by the door, accompanied by the sound of water flowing into a tea kettle from the sink in the kitchenette near the door. Between Informant in the large living room and bedroom combined space with the view of the lecture halls out the single large window by the desk stood a single translucent door. The Dark Hunter watched and Vhisola and her friend Macku shuffled around, chatting about studies and protodermis purification to take their minds off the potential fear of the moment. Once inside her home, Vhisola and Macku expected to feel more at ease. If anything, they felt slightly deflated after having talked on the way up about Vhisola’s intimidating encounter at the cafe. Macku left soon after Vhisola started tea, giving her a hug for moral support. The door closed, and Vhisola finally felt alone. After tea boiled, she grabbed the slider on the door to her living room and pulled it open…
  7. Hi Biological Chronicler! Welcome to the site. Pardehi and Barek are good to go. For Kareh, please pick one (1) kanohi for his armor to use and then he's good to go. Welcome to BZPower and to SKE.
  8. If you got back I believe I mentioned how many Mangai are still alive...
  9. IC: Reliable Narrator | Onu-Metru and Ga-Metru As the Taku rolled, those who hadn't expected the sudden change in their orientation fell towards the ceiling turned floor. "Victim" tried to grab on, but his fingers slipped off the back of the pilot's chair. As he fell, a strange crackling light split open in the air, created a sparkling portal, and then he was gone and the portal with him. Near the Ga-Metru Great Temple's sewer access tunnel, Tekmo turned to look back in time to see a strange zapping portal closing up, "Revamp" disappearing behind it. OOC: "Revamp" and "Victim" removed from play. Carry on.
  10. Dear all, I have asked TheLegoRoleplayer to step away from SKE. They are still welcome in the RPG forum and BZPower as a whole, so please continue to treat them with respect as they deserve. I will be writing a brief description of their characters stepping away from any interactions they currently had. All players no longer need to respond to posts by TheLegoRoleplayer. Thank you, The GM
  11. Hey you all raise a good point. While Turaga Dume did not say it was a 1:1 ratio, he definitely doesn't have infinite toa stones.
  12. THANK YOU. I will edit to make sure I accurately reflect Tallea and Kilo.
  13. IC: Reliable Narrator | Onu-Metru As the group assembled on level twelve, the swirling dark black goo assaulted them all at once. They fought and struggled with their new krahli companion against the darkness. Some tried to run but remembered the wall of stone blocking their path. The archivist and the Krahli began to notice a pattern in how the darkness fought the party: it lashed out in tendrils or claws or barbs, then spasmed and turned into a liquid mass, then reformed into a random shape. At one point they fought against a bloated spiny stone ape. Then they fought an amalgam of tiny ussal crabs with flamethrowers. Tallea's attack with the electrical cord kept whatever monstrous creature they faced at bay. The black goo would form and rush, then immediately stop, squirm, and reform while backing away as the arcing electricity from the cord shocked it. Jutori tried to help, but got distracted when the Krahli arrived. Struggling for consciousness after being drained by the krahli, Vashni heard in her exhausted mind something screaming, crying in pain as it formed and split and reformed again coming from down the hallway. A matoran cried in her mind with every jab of the cord in Tallea's armored hand. IC: Reliable Narrator | South of Destral | The Ripple The assembled warriors fought desperately against the visorak boarding The Ripple. The success in killing the first in the cargo hold bolstered their resolve to hunt down the remaining menace. Some were impaled by claws and swords, others kicked ferociously off the stern. After a few minutes, but what felt like hours, the crew on The Ripple gave a rousing cheer -- they had repelled the visorak! The Ripple floated barely above the rippling waves, maintaining its levitation despite the serious damage to the hull. Mazor watched down the sights of his disc launcher as the entwined airships of the visorak floated further away, decidedly having enough of the conflict. They never intended on committing to a fight to the death, and chose to cut their losses now rather than incur further casualties. OOC: Congratulations! You successfully worked together and drove off the visorak pirates. The way is clear to continue sailing. Feel free to RP fighting the visorak and wrapping up the conflict before moving on.
  14. Music IC: Reliable Narrator | Ko-Metru The door opened with the unity of the matoran pushing against its cold surface. Instead of opening inward, the door melted from the top to the bottom like hot water poured over a sheet of ice until only the frosted door frame remained. Beyond was a burst of bright light, blinding in its glare, and the wind of some far off place played with the Alpinist’s ropes and gear. The faintest smell of sulfur and brimstone reached them, as if a dream. The Cartographer’s eyes slowly adjusted to view what lay beyond. The softest drifting snowflakes fell on their masks, beckoning to enter through the portal. Pearly untouched snow met the lip of the door frame on the opposite side of the adventurers. Framed like a painting through the open door rose a mountain peak only a few yards away and an expansive island landscape far below. At the very peak fluttered a solitary red banner on a stick, and beneath it on a snow-covered dais was a disc with three towers printed on its surface. OOC: @EmperorWhenua, @Crimson Jester: Congrats!
  15. IC: Dark Hunter Network: A green flash of writing flashed across the screens in dark hunter safe houses. Something had gone terribly wrong for the shadowy network of assassins: Due to unforeseen network compromise, abort all current job opportunities. Vahki penetration tests were successful as of 00:03:53 hours ago. Standby for further orders by alternative means. Please update to current version of Nortonware. Those out in the field might get a vibration or a silent notification of the change in plans. If the vahki had network information, it was only a matter of time before safe houses could be discovered and raided. OOC: Nice Job, Okuo. IC: Reliable Narrator | Ga-Metru Vhisola and the unseen bordakh squad reached the front door to her apartment. She seemed anxious, visibly checking her iStone and waiting for something before entering. Sure enough, another ga-matoran arrived a few minutes later and accompanied Vhisola into the building. “That sounds so scary,” Macku said as she brushed aside the beads covering Vhisola’s front door. They were on the upper floors of the apartment building. Vhisola struggled to get the keys out of her satchel. “Yeah,” Vhisola replied as she finally got the key in the lock. Turning it the door unlatched with and audible click. “Thanks for coming over. It’s probably nothing, but…” “Oh no absolutely. I get it.” “I’m not crazy, right?” Macku looked her friend over and smiled. “No, you’re not.” “Thanks Macku.” Vhisola said and they both walked into her apartment. OOC: Hi Informant. IC: Reliable Narrator | Onu-Metru Tallea’s punch into the chitinous tentacle crushed a hole through its inky form. To her dismay, the large unmoving rahi melted before her eyes into more of the goo that formed the tentacle she destroyed, and burst forward in an attempt to restrain those at the bottom of the hole through the Archives.
  16. Ooc: Mobile, at work. IC: Abomination | Ko-Metru hideaway The impact of the disc triggered an unholy act, and the slag of matoran parts and molted shell and rahi droppings piled atop each other took on a new grotesque shape. It floundered, unable to bear its own weight as wires twisted and snapped in an attempt to support its movements. The machine parts of the abomination couldn't support its organics which began to drip onto the floor in hot steaming puddles. It shrieked, wrenching its legs off at the hip by crawling forward hand over hand over hand over hand... Whatever the Cartographer created could not be described, but would haunt the two matoran who saw it forever. "Please," came a guttural moan from somewhere inside the abomination, "Nuju no. DON'T LEAVE ME!" One of its hands managed to grab the Cartographer's wrist, whispering gibberish with it's own toothy maw. And then the creature returned to slag, splattering across the white armor of the matoran, unable to remain alive any longer.
  17. IC: Turaga Lhikan | Coliseum | Metru-Nui Prison "Of course you're not sorry. I wouldn't expect you to be. You did your job, you followed your duty, you murdered a wanted man. In fact, I congratulate you. Killing Nuparu as terrible as it is may have saved us all." Turaga Lhikan stood up and gave a soft bow. Thom knowing his name connected many dots, but whether or not he actually was Lhikan the turaga didn't confirm or refute. "You have my thanks, Patchy," he said and then walked back to his slab of a bed and laid down. IC: Reliable Narrator | Ga-Metru Okuo didn't have to wait long. While no one approached the cafe, and no immediate information on official dispatch sites went public, he noticed a squad of bordakh sweep the block outside of the normal patrol time. By the time Vhisola and her mentor parted ways outside the front entrance to the cafe -- Nokama heading in the direction of the lecture halls and Vhisola in the direction of her home -- the bordakh stationed themselves on the rooftops and waited. Sure enough, Okuo watched the squad follow Vhisola's path, darting across rooftops whenever she wasn't looking up, allowing her to continue her day ignorant of the observance. Vhisola and the bordakh squad disappeared from Okuo's sight after a few minutes.
